Hi,
I have 2 Galaxy S2's here, one with SCS code XEN (Netherlands) and one with SEB(Baltic).
I want them both at a europe SCS code so I get the same updates on both devices.
If I check it via *#272*IMEI# I can choose on the SEB device to different countries (for example spain or france).
I do want to get the same updates on both devices so I have to change the SEB device to a europe country.
If I change the SCS code to spain (for example) would I get the OTA's which are in spain?
And if I change it, would my device be wiped?
I'm still at stock firmware (4.0.3) but would like to update to 4.0.4 just as the other device.
Thanks in advance.

I realized That Code for UK versions of GSII is GT-I9100LKAXEU and In Sweden it is GT-I9100LKANEE. Does anyone knows if this is only a firmware difference or something more Serious( Like NFC ! )
Aside from it being country code, I don't know what else they could have classified.
United Kingdom - (LK) (A) XEU
Sweden - (LK) (A) NEE
Perhaps NFC might be one, but what else? Toss in your ideas guys.

The last 3 letters are the Carrier Specific Code (csc) which holds information like vpn setting and other identifiers for the likes of the android market. That doesn't mean the phones won't be different though.
Probably it is like old SGS. Product Code (XEU, KOR, NEE etc) practically just describes the programs you can download from the Samsung Apps. The product code can be easily changed with custom roms and reverted back by flashing original Samsung firmware. At the moment the product code in my SGS is KOR and my original code is XEE.
Hello
I have unbranded Galaxy S II, with CSC "XEU".
Latest upgrade through Kies I had at September, and now firmware is:
Europe XEU - I9100XWKI4 / I9100XEUKH2 (Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread)
Since than no more updates were available in Kies...
Does anybody know if this will change?
I see Europe firmwares for CSC "OXA", but for this I should probably first use Odin to change firmware.
What is difference between "XEU" and "OXA" in general?

You get updates when you get them is the simple answer .

YES

They are just region codes.
CSC's just have APN settings and maybe some operator specific apps, any region specific rom will work anywhere in the world.
Hi
Is there general CSC for Europe?
If:
"XEU = UK; OXA = Poland"
Than really there is no new update for UK?
2.3.4 is letest Android?
somehow funny

Can someone confirm, that unbranded SGSII from UK has latest Androind 2.3.4?
Nothing I'm complaining about, its really stable and working OK.
But little sorrow there were updates for other CSC...
Btw, how to change CSC when multi-csc is not installed (*#727*IMEI# is displaying XEU only, is not accepting OXA)

Flash a CSC from the stock roms and CSC thread .
CSC IS country specific settings a few files that give local networks details and settings and is not even required for a phone to work .

To give you a quick background, I have an unlocked i9300 that I use in the US. The current CSC code is VD2, which I believe is Vodafone Germany.
I would like to update my CSC number to an unbranded variant for the following reasons:
- Don't have to deal with carrier branding (nothing works anyway when I try to access from US)
- I can get the latest FW/Modems/Kernel without waiting for carrier to catch up
- Want to avoid using ODIN / bricking phone / loosing IMEI number
From what I've read so far, CSC code BTU is UK Unbranded and seems to get the latest updates like the LH1 modem, but when I run the *#272*IMEI_num# code, BTU is not one of the options that shows up. Neither does KOR and XEU. (I guess this only applies to the S2?)
So I would like to know...
1. What is the "best" CSC for unbranded firmware that will receive updates quickly
2. Is my concept correct to just update CSC and then I can use KIES to update my phone to the latest available Modem/FW/Kernel for that CSC.
3. I don't have to worry about loosing unlock on my phone.
Thank you!
hi. my friend bought a galaxy s3 from europe but i think what he got is carrier specific. its sales code is VOD so i think it is a Vodafone carrier specific phone. you can check the details in the image attached.
now we are planning to change the sales code (or CSC?) from VOD to XTC since we are from philippines.
we tried to flash a firmware for philippine region into his s3, we used the firmware I9300XXBLH1.
after that, upon checking CSC through *#272*imei#* we have found out that its sales code is still VOD and theres no available CSC to choose. ( we hoped the sales code would be XTC after flashing the firmware from philippines)
unfortunately, kies did not recognized his phone and the messaging service is not responding, so we flashed back again the original firmware (I9300BUBLG3).
is there still a way for it to be an XTC? we want it to be I9300XXBLH1
thanks for the help.
Hi, I live in Romania and after I bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 I had the unpleasant surprise to see the phone has a Italian firmware (3Mobile.it - ICS 4.0.3) and CSC - HUI. The phone is unlocked and my Orange SIM works fine but can't change the CSC code .. only HUI is available. The question is if I want to flash the phone with an ORO - Orange firmware witch has ICS 4.0.4 will I encounter problems afterwards? Will the phone be locked on Orange?
You can flash firmware for any region you like. However, you may not be able to get OTA updates when they're released for your region anymore due to the different CSC. Simple solution to that is to flash future updates manually with Odin like many people here do anyways (you can always get the latest firmwares for country/carrier with Checkfus).
