For 2.2, what keyboard options are available?

edit, as I was typing this I noticed I do have the Multi Touch keyboard option. I thought it was just HTC IME mod, but are there other keyboard alternatives floating around for 2.2?
There's Kaos' Froyo version of the Droid X Multi-touch Keyboard, which you are talking about. There is Swype, there is HTC IME keyboard, and there is a dozen other keyboards on the market. Also, the stock Android keyboard is there as well.
There is also TouchPal. I find this to be tbe best keyboard for portrait mode.

[Q] Keyboard from Android 2.3

Has anyone tried this on the Atrix yet? How is it? Is the autocorrect still the same as the original keyboard?
here's a thread with a GB-kB that you can install alongside the stock keyboard, and it has the autocorrect fixed to work like the original.

installed the gbkb-en.apk on mine and it works but because of the higher resolution the keys look a little small for my liking

if you are running a stock device it should still be installed. you just have to go to the keyboard settings and change the default keyboard to the multitouch.
if you are running gingerblur or greyblur and lost the keyboard just go to the first page of the gingerblur thread and scroll down in the very first post as kennethpen was nice enough to include the stock keyboard apk

Swype and physical keyboard

Hello all swype lovers!
Since I bought my Motorola Milesone 2 (aka Droid 2) I'm wondering is that possible to use Swype dictionary while typing on hardware keyboard?
I know that there are some counterparts like slide it keyboard etc. but I really get used to swype and sometimes when I can't use both hands to type on physical keyboard I use virtual method.
I add this thread here because this problem concerns to all android devices with physical keyboard, not just milestone 2
Any ideas?;>

Stock keyboard (voice input) and working alternative keyboards

Can somebody tell me if it is possible somehow to turn voice input from stock keyboard? I looked in settings but couldn't find it. Also, do you use other keyboards? I got used to use HTC IME by jonasl, but now on 1280x720 it is obviously to small for the screen. I am testing Smart Keyboard now which is pretty fimiliar to HTC IME and has the option of voice input. I don't like Swipe as I never swipe, got used to "click" symbols. I would continue using stock keyboard if not the lack of voice input.

I use smart keyboard Pro. Been using it since the X10 days, love it.
Im using "Ice cream sandwich keyboard free"
works well, and gives you the voice input button there too
I'm typing quite a bit quicker on this keyboard as well, seems to be working for me.
give it a go
I've always used thumb keyboard on any android device I use. Has good customization options and keyboard themes.
I use ICS keyboard full ..
It have a good arabic letters layout, and I use gestures to change language, close keyboard , and delete last word ..
I works great in this big screen and just take a little space of the screen ..
even I already purchased Swiftkey X, but I feel more comfortable with ICS keyboard ..
