[Q] Can someone tell me what NS model IS? - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i tried flashing my atrix with RSD Lite and it said: "NS Flash Olympus" in model category?
what's the NS stands for?

"Non Secured"

Before you get excited, it doesn't mean you have a dev device, everyone's phone shows up like that.

i have "SE" when i put mine on RSD light. anyone knows what that stands for?

No. It just means the device is not encrypted/locked.
Remember, the Atrix bootloader is only signed, not encrypted or locked.

Then what does SE stand for?

I have SE also.
Sent from my rooted and frozen Motorola Olympus.

Me too, SE

Are any of you SE guys on the .83 update? Maybe they goofed with the bootloader in the update.

Mobile sites causing force close

Certain sites have been causing a force close on my phone whenever I try to open them. So far wired.com crashes whenever I try to open it. Happens in both stock browser and dolphin 6.0. Didn't start doing that until today. Anyone else?

Try clearing the cache of both browsers and reinstall the dolphin browser again and see if that changes anything.

Q] Looking for us cellular moto Electrify tool kit

Is there a tool kit available to unlock and root this phone. If not maybe a link as to how to do so. Its not gsm and does not have sim card. Its on us cellular and its called Electrify...its my friends phone but jus looking for some 411. I have a Gnexus so not familiar wit moto electrify. Thanx
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Stay with the nexus
Sent from my MB855 using xda app-developers app
There's ways to root it for sure. Check the Electrify forum. If your phone is on android 2.3.5 there's a very good chance that you cannot unlock the bootloader, just like us Photon owners..
EDIT: oops i just now realized that there is no electrify forum.
Yup thats what I noticed only photon which is similar... And def staying wit my nexus now running Carbon 4.2.2 ...lol but my buddies got the Electrify. Jus trying to help him out... Thanx

Sent from my MB855 using xda app-developers app
I was lucky and my Electrify came with 2.3.5 and was unlock-able, so of course I did! If you did the update to 2.3.5 from 2.3.4 then you have a locked bootloader, no unlocking. You can download and try as it won't hurt your phone other than error out, make sure you are rooted first. There is a how to on the teamuscellular.com, here is a direct link to the page of the download (mods sorry but this is not hosted here so I hope I am not breaking any rules posting another forum)
