I can't get search to work on my phone so.. Is this development section work for the Arcos 70 too?
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk
yeah, disregard. Been reading through Development section and it appears that the 70 and the rest are pretty much all use the same FW's.

Hi everyone.
I'm using my HD2 as a play-phone because i already own a desire HD. I just can't seem to let my HD2 go, when the development for this phone is so massive!
So my question is this, is anyone developing WP7 roms for the NAND for this phone? The android roms really works well but even the Desire HD original phone is as fast as WP7.. I hate the UI of WP7 bt love the speed, and i think with the dev's in here the wp7 platform could be awesome!
Try:
1) Searching
2) Posting in the right section

Better yet...
Try being helpful instead..
I searched and found a post from start dec. Saying it was being worked on.
A question about a wp7 nand Rom, in the hd2 nand Rom thread is misplaced? How is that??
So sick of people like yourself.. if I created my post in the wrong section.. fair... but not being able to ask questions is a little Wierd when this is called a forum.. I've been a member for a long time (have 2 users) and posts like yours is getting more and more standard..

the problem is, this isn't the first time this has posted. or the second. or the third. but in my opinion, in the Q&A section, it shouldn't matter...hence the Q&A.
i typed in "WP7" and searched titles in the Leo section and got these:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895950&highlight=wp7
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=897521&highlight=wp7
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881618&highlight=wp7
so yeah, search helps. but hope the above helps too.
cheers.
Thx a lot!

Hey guys, my Desire HD is having hardware problem and since in Lebanon we do not have service for htc, im going to have to replace it.
We do not have plans either. I'm going to have to pay full price for a phone.
My question to those of you who have had the EVO3D for a while is:
Should i get this phone?
What about:
Custom Roms?
Performance?
Are the 3D features as interesting as they advertise it?
Battery?
Thanks,

Someone really needs to just work on a Pro's and Con's thread, and sticky it. There's like 3 of these a day.

Right guys and gals just thought I'd pop in and say hi, Iam going to be getting a razr off the Motorola Rep next week just wanting to know what I should do with it 1st. Is rooting and cwm recovery easy to do and same for roms
Give you some background I've always had htc and got a desire hd at the mo rom on it etc all the usual stuff.
Can I still do the same with razr also. Also how easy is it, with the dhd it was so easy my little lad could do it and he is 8. LOL
Cheers in advance

Well yeah you can do all of those things with the RAZR. It's an android after all!
Check out my blog, I've centralized all the relevant information on XDA. The link is in the signature. Thnks!

Just curious if this phone will get it's own forum or will it stay under the 3D forum? I figured since it was on HBOOT 1.57 and the older phone has 1.5 or 1.4, there would be some difference in dev work. Just wondering is all. Thanks to everyone here that has answered my questions btw!

As far as I know, the cdma ROMs and such will work on the vm version. Having said that, it would be nice to have a separate forum to make answering questions easier. The mix of cdma and gsm in the Q&A forum makes answering questions difficult.

I agree with you coal686. I notice most of these roms are also for Sprint and it confuses people that have VM. It's overwhelming coming from a Motorola Triumph with a few good roms, to all these HTC roms! There's alot of them! Seems MMS is the biggest issue when installing it on the EVO V 4G. I think it's because of a VM way of handling MMS.
Thanks.
I would like to see the EVO V 4G get its own section as well. It's just a footnote in the EVO 3D forum right now and I'm having to do a lot of sifting to find stuff relevant to my device.
I would be interested in a forum as well
im thinking about getting this phone is it worth moving from a samsung galaxy s does it overheat much when heavy gaming the galaxy heats up a bit
I would say it should get it's own subforum. Much to hard to find posts relevant to this phone.

Agreed, I think as the Evo V community grows we will eventually see our own subforum.
It'd be really nice if they could make one, because I just got this phone, and the mix between relevant and irrelevant info is sorta fustrating.
The Sony Xperia Ion has its own section...what a lemon it's turned out to be.

To be honest, most people searching for help won't know the difference between GSM and CDMA, which will cause even more wrong section posts.
I don't think the EVO V needs a subforum since it's essentially a CDMA and can run it's ROMs, correct me if I'm wrong.
1+
And not necessarily, everything that works on the 3D doesn't always work on the V 4G... (see mainly, MMS/SMS and data)

If not its own forum, at least give it a sub forum thingy. Like how there's a CDMA and a GSM forum.

Me also; Ditto; Agree; +1
My Evo v 4G arrives today. The community is growing. It may be time for a sub-forum, specific to our device, which clearly has some ownership and interest behind it
a sub-forum ~
Please a sub-forum. Evo V is a strong device and will definitely stick around for a while. It deserves a sub-forum on XDA ~ slight changes between Evo V and Evo 3D make their roms not 100 percent compatible. a sub-forum will definitely increase clarity of information.
Anyone who hasn't already can check out the evo v forum at androidforums.com. Everything is geared towards the VM version.

Hi. I'm new to EVO LTE and I kinda look for this answer but couldn't quite find it. Why is there 2 development for EVO LTE?
I have the original black EVO. Do I use the original EVO development? Or does it matter what I use? Thank you in advance.
Sent from my EVO LTE using xda premium
Original development is for thing like root methods etc., development is for roms and mods based off of stock things.
"We're coming from a pure power source"
There's a sticky at the top of the original development forum that explains everything

It's not a dumb question, it's a dumb system. To have these two development sections separated is just plain dumb. A better division would be roms separate from rooting methods or such. But to distinguish between some roms as being original and some not seems to be very inconsistent. This separated development sections started with the Samsung threads and they can keep it. Give us HTC guys back our single development thread.

Its supposed to be a way to distinguish ROMS & other projects that have significant original work being done from those that are simply modified stock.

But most of the roms in the original development section are just heavily themed and nothing else. Nothing groundbreaking. If you go with the original intent of the separation of development threads than only CM10 would be in that thread,
There's plenty of original development done in those roms/ect
