Well I got this one included in my package which I think is pretty sweet. Slim and low profile, barely adds any weight or extra space and keeps my Transformer safe in my messenger bag. I've seen a few unboxing's but they don't show this case so I thought I may just post it up.

Where did you order from? This is the first I've seen of that sleeve. With the Asus logo it certainly looks official. Was the package you ordered labelled as a bundle of some sort?

I ordered my Transformer from Taiwan on Ebay. Seller didn't include this as a "bonus" item. Pretty nifty, business orientated looking sleeve I reckon. Keeps the screen safe in my bag.
Edit: I only ordered the Transformer without any additional accessories. Comes in original box.

That one looks really nice! I have a similar simple and slick leather pouch for my HD2 and it barely adds any weight or thickness. Already looked for it on Ebay but can't find it!

It does look similar, but the shop offers exactly the same pouch for other tablets like Galaxy Tab 10.1 and iPad2 (230595227483, 230601101779) so probably you will get a oversized/undersize case. I'll keep looking for a real TF-version!

Snug fit length wise, there is 1/4 inch room in the case width wise, but the Transformer doesn't move around, plus it is really padded well
It also has an accessory pouch where i keep SD cards, microfiber cloth, etc.

Just bought the "Asus Black Leather Sleeve" that is meant for EEE in general for € 20. Fits pretty well with even room to jiggle, so I guess when I have a keyboard it will still fit. The black leather feels like quality and the inside seems to have suede. Good one!

It will not provide much protection for an edge drop since the transformer comes right to the edge of it. But it does fit in there and will protect the screen nicely.

Found a nifty sleeve that fits the g tablet pretty well!
It's nice and only has about a 1/4" of play on the width, but the length is just right. You are right Scott, I have changed my original post. I couldn't find the Sears case anywhere, so I went hunting.
I saw these cases in person at a local Best Buy store. They are very nice quality padded neoprene cases... much thicker neoprene than the cheap cases on eBay and at Meritline. I didn't have my GTab with me at the time, but it crossed my mind that the case may be a perfect fit for my GTab. I believe they were $19.99 at the store so it seems cheaper online.

Checked it out at my local Best Buy, the fit was perfect! I'd also agree that the neoprene padding is solid and not flimsy. Another alternative sleeve would be the "Incase Neoprene Netbook Sleeve - Black - CL57365," also at BB (couldn't post links, sorry). I had my gTablet with me while trying out the sleeves, so I can confirm that the fit was snug for both. Like the OP said, length was perfect, and not too much slack on the width so the gTablet won't slide around. The Incase also had a white faux-fur lining inside. Ultimately, the zippered storage pocket on the HP sleeve and the fact that Amazon sells it for $10 won me over. I will try to post some photos of the HP sleeve when it arrives. Thanks OP!

ahh thank you so much. I've been looking for a good sleeve for my prime as well. I think I'll go with the Case Logic.
My problem with both of these is that they've got a zipper. I find that it's inevitable that I will scratch my TFP up too much if there is a zipper on the pouch.

I have the Targus sleeve also. It is very padded, even around the zipper. I have used it for about two weeks and have noticed no scratching. It holds the docked prime snugly and zips securely. Hth, Methaq

I use the case logic one with prime and dock. I have it in my backpack with textbooks daily and it works great. I'm not necessarily careful with it either...
Recommendation For a Case: What Do You Use
Hey guys, I have been looking for a case for my prime for around two weeks, I want the case to be thin and not add too much bulk to the tablet. I really like the Poetic Hardback case because it's thin and doesn't cover up the bezel, but I've read that the clips could scratch the tablet itself. If you have a case idea for me I would greatly appreciate the recommendations. Thanks,

Some people don't like that it has material over the bezel, and at first I was skeptical however it really does make your grip more secure on the Prime compared to bare glass. And while the edges might look sharp they are actually very soft.
I concur on the Sikai Microfiber Case. Very thin and light (only 5.5 ounces), yet protects the case and screen well. I don't particularly care for leather cases, and the microfiber is smooth yet provides good grip. I also have the Poetic, and have not noticed it scratching the tablet, although it is a bit of a tight fit into sliding it under the clips. One complaint about the Poetic is that after a while the leather loosened up, so that when you placed it in the angled position the tablet slipped out of the grooves in the stand (very annoying). Poetic weighs in at 9.5 ounces. The Caseen Skinny case is worth considering if you like a leather case. Weighs in at 10 ounces, and provides very good protection and allows landscape or portrait angled stand. One complaint is that the stylus / pen strap is too tight, and difficult to get the stylus in.
I have used the ACASE since early January and love it. It is leather, fitted well and looks great. I believe I paid about $13 for it on ebay.

I also have the Sikai microfiber case and prefer it over my other case. It is light, fits well, looks good and functions the way I want it,
I use a not so fancy Roocase. It is both a leather skin for the tablet and allows for it to be propped up, like an easel. The dual function aspect adds some thickness but personally, I don't find it an issue.

Click to collapse Not easily, as the little stylus holder is sewn into the lip of the case and then heat-sealed over. I guess you could cut it off with sharp scissors or a knife however why would you want to do that? It is actually quite handy if you ever use a stylus and when there is no stylus there is isn't noticeable since it lays flat against the edge of the case.

It is just to the right of the camera, and down about an inch, behind the screen. However this magnetic switch is only enabled when the Prime is docked with its keyboard. I have been using this case for about a month and a half now, and it provides great protection for the Prime, looks modern and stylish and feels comfortable to hold. Honestly I am not sure what else you would want from a case

I never use it in this arrangement anyway. If I want it stood up for watching videos etc, I stand it up the other way round, it like this - (excuse the ipad photo and wrong case, but you get my point)
I got one of those leather thin cases, they are ok, but I just didn't like the feel of it, and the Prime just did not feel as awesome as using it naked. So I ended up getting a Full Body Skinomi (Tablet + Dock) and the Asus Transleve and ohboy I'm happy with it. The Skinomi is freaking awesome, the Tablet looks like just waxed Porsche, and the Asus Transleeve works wonders. Been using this setup for some time now and I doubt ill use again my leather case ^^

Click to collapse I have a full body Skinomi skin on my Prime as well: Sadly the Skinomi skin doesn't make the Prime more comfortable to hold, the sharp edges of the Prime still dig into your hands when you hold it for a while. Also the Skinomi skin, while excellent protection from scratches doesn't protect against drops at all.

Have One, Love It I've had the roocase for 6 months now, and I have to tell you I love it. If you're primary concern is protection, is is superb. The inner sleeve (that the tablet actually fits into) makes it super easy to hold on to. Put it in the main case, prop it up for easy hands free reading or watching a movie. Just thought I'd share my opinion. These cases used to be really expensive. I'm at work, and they have Amazon blocked so I can't see if it's exactly the same case, but mine is leather. Has zippered outer case, and sleeve that fits inside. Frank
