I think that from your posts that are scattered all over this forum that you have already made up your mind that you want a different phone.
Why don't you just give it up and go get a different phone already.

Yep, I went to the store a week after and they gave me a brand new TB....same thing, so they checked the 3 salesmans TB's and none of them did the audio when recording. Same with the working display...no audio. I love most of the features on the bolt...but I gotta have the damn audio when recording !
i'm stock, and my audio works fine.

I get audio as well on BAMF 1.6 Remix.
Just checked and my audio is also working fine.
Edit: running bamf 1.6 with the newest radio installed. Remember all the phones at verizon would be on the old radio.

I've had this problem, but only with the camcorder on the HD video setting.
I get audio on a diff rom
this is not a signature I type it in every time maybe sent from my phone or my computer
In briefly messing with mine (BAMF 1.6 new radio) it seems to be recording audio from the front only, I think. When I talk, its clear as can be, but the people on the other side of the phone can be heard but quietly, and not as clearly. Just a guess, but I don't actually know where the 2nd mic is. Never had this problem on my Dinc.

I had something similar happen. I unrooted and went back to stock and everything was fine. I rerooted, installed a backup and it was still fine. Called VZW and got a new unit anyway.

Just curious if anyone has seen an improvement with a replaced phone.
I know of only one personally who has had his replaced and after two days the issue arose once again.

Thanks.

You guys are aware it's a software issue that's already been fixed by Maintenance Release 3 available in the Development section, right ?
I'll never understand why so many people just jump the gun on getting devices replaced when 90% at least of issues are software in nature.

Crud I hope the Maintenance Release 3 is not the final one if the audio problem still exists. I hope Motorola is taking their time to find all the problems reported and fix them before officially releasing a maintenance release.

Probably because they want to. It was their money don't worry about it. I dont know why some jump the gun to run their mouth about stuff that isnt any of their business.
I was asking as the OP on this thread because I actually use my phone as a phone for communicating and not just playing games on it.
Kinda negates having a specific phone of it locks up and or has silent calls....so if it made sense to exchange it I would....so that I could actually use the tool I bought....ya know?
I initially had the same issue. Turned out I still had my old phone powered up. Once I turned it off and rebooted all was fine.... Maybe this works for you...

I replaced m y phone today at Best Buy and so far so good.
Strange thing is, while this is a MR1 software package, there sure are some things which are different.
The email setup for one to manually configure was completely different than my first phone.
The rear speaker is way louder than the first unit and I thought that one was loud.
The really weird part is, as soon as I opened the browser the first time and then went to load bookmarks, all of my previous bookmarks were already there. Is Google or Sprint storing this information in a cloud somewhere?
I was so taken back by this that I checked all of the various serial #'s and such to make sure they gave me the new phone, even though I watched them with it the entire time.
BTW....setting the battery to PERFORMANCE really speeds this up on this phone.

Has anyone else on the latest BAMF release with old firmware noticed considerable lag in the dialer and gallery application? Everything else seems flawless from what I've observed and I made sure to wipe everything before I flashed. Any insight is appreciated. I would assume you never got an answer because those who are running the new BAMF are running the new firmware, as well. It would be really difficult for someone like Joel to figure out why yours might be lagging a bit while he is on completely different firmware. I suggest updating to the new firmware or trying a different ROM for a few days to see if it's isolated just to Joel's ROM. Who knows, it might just be the phone itself. Hope this helps a little since I can't really pin point any other issues for you since I, too, am on the new firmware.
Cool thanks for the reply I think I'll go ahead and upgrade to the new firmware my phone has started force closing and randomly rebooting today so that must be the answer.

Didn't see anywhere in the thread if the bluetooth was or wasn't working. Just though I'd let you guys know that bluetooth crashes my Tbolt. I've tried it a few times, just turning it on crashes and when I try to view the bluetooth menu. And now I'm stuck in a bootloop. This is my first post and due to the sight rules I can't post on the actual thread, perhaps a mod can move this to it. Otherwise this has been great!
Try flashing the imoseyon kernal. This should fix your Bluetooth issues.

You're talking about this one, correct?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1086518
I see that it is a GB kernel and this is an ICS rom. I don't know if that makes a difference. Still pretty new at this, that's why I'm asking.
My apologies. No you cannot use this with ICS. Its early in the morning and thought I read the title to be about Jesters other ROM Jellyblur (GB ROM themed to look like ICS). There are no custom kernals yet for the Thunderbolts ICS until HTC drops the source. I will try to re-create this issue and I will get back with you unless someone gives a solution before me lol. Once again my apologies.
If you are in a bootloop you may have to re-wipe and re-install the ROM. It may have been a bad flash if BT was not working and caused a bootloop.
EDIT: although irrelevent for this ROM, the link you provided is an outdated custom kernal. The Dev has since then updated to 6.2.1

Hi,
Well you are in luck I had the exact same problem today and finally found the fix. I was using the . 9 radio was working fine so thought its ok but since bluetooth was my only issue I flashed ( in hboot) the . 19 radio and now no bluetooth problem. Not only turn it on and off able to use it!
Phone has not rebooted once since I did this.
Hope this helps you out,

Great!
I love it when a plan comes together.
I also notice alot more 4g speed.
That bootloop sucks.
I wonder if this radio came out when the leak was initially released.
Would explain why on gingerbread we didn't see a big change but obviously the minor change in it was for ics.
Thanks,

Since the problem got solved...figured I'd jump in with a couple issues that I'm having with this rom.
1* I go into settings and to my apps. When I click an app and it brings up the space used and other info...everything says computing and doesn't show a value. I'm trying to move my apps to the SD and it does nothing since they wont compute. Anybody with this issue...a fix?
2* When I get a SMS, the LED keeps blinking after the message is closed or replied to. It stops after a few minutes, but its annoying. I have GoSMS.

1. Wait and let it total all the apps before entering to move them. It may take a minute if you have a lot of apps.
2. That's a bug with gosms. I never could figure out a fix other than disabling the led notification.

I finally got them moved, but it would take 1-4 minutes a piece to move. And when I try to uninstall an app, it just says uninstalling and hangs on that screen.

Have you rebooted since installing the rom?
Usually a reboot and waiting 5 after boot corrects this problem.
Thanks,

I bought the app yesterday and it kept making my phone crash and go into a bootloop. I saw that they recommended to restart your phone after downloading so I may try to re-install the app today and try it again.
edit: on Ineffebilis Deus v1.2
Yea that does absolutely nothing. I've even done a fresh factory install with VC being the only app on my phone and it crashes. I've used only the Global firmware with 3 different global ROMs and two AOSP/AKOP ROMs. I might try OTA firmware and ROM to see if it helps, but I doubt it. I did a log cat and there seems to be something with the Adreno causing the crash.
thanks for the heads up. I guess I'll email the dev for a refund for now.

For a while there we didn't have ICS. I don't blame them - HTC took forever and during development they likely just went with what the current OS was.
Hell yah....and....No Way! Been waiting for R* to release on Android for a while. But it figures it goes BOOOM on the Rez. Bet it nukes the battery in a half hour.

Not a high priority atm. Getting the kernel and data squared away are a little higher on the list but we're going to address it once we have time. I think its either a drm issue or a dhcp issue. At any rate, in my testing I was able to get it to play audio but video still wouldn't play so it may be a codec issue. I guess if you like to listen to movies you're all set
