Can anyone please tell me how can I copy my phone's unsynced contacts to the SIM card? There is no option to do that when I select Import/Export option from the menu in contacts. I really need to copy my contacts to the SIM card. Please help.

just use the built in contacts application, it has an import/export function.
open contacts, menu button, import/export, export to SD card.
this creates a vcard file on ur SD card, and you can simply import from SD card once you have flashed your phone
easy as, i do it this way every time.
that being said, i also use my backup root for call logs, messages, etc so its probably worth getting it from the market too.
tim.
I use MyBackUp Pro and it works great. If you only want to backup your contacts to your SD card, I believe the free version (MyBackUp) works fine too.
I use myPhoneExplorer. This App sync with your PC.
I'm going from Froyo (DR V3) to CM7 (Jt's project, not nightlies) and I've always been a nervious flasher I'm fine with backing up all my apps and everything I'm just concerned about my pictures, are they saved on my SD card and will just be there after I flash the ROM or is there some extra step I'm missing? And does the verizon contact backup work on this ROM?

Your pics are saved on the sd card but with all the sd card issues happening on the gb roms it would probably be a good idea to back up the entire card to a PC. As for contacts, if they are set up as Google contacts they will be automagically restored by google. If they are set up as phone contacts only you will need to export them to your sd card and import them back to the phone after flashing. The Verizon app doesnt work in CM7.
Hi all,
Need some advise on this.
How to copy phone number store in the phone to SIM card.
Under phone/all, Have this option (Import/Export contact)
1) Import from SIM card
2) Import from SD card
3) Export to SD card
But strange enuf, it dows not have the option to export to SIM card.
I don't think Android has export to sim option.. my nexus s doesn't have it too...
But if you are planning to upgrade to another android phone, your contact will be restored automatically once you sign in your current gmail.
Accidentally sent from my Google Nexus S using XDA Premium
Samsung Galaxy S2 do have the option to copy to SIM.
Not sure why HTC sensation XE dun have this features.

Hi,
I used JB 4.1.2 and have a Problem with the Contacts App.
How can i import my Contacts to external SD ? I found only Storage0 (internal SD)
How can i found an Option that i can delete "ALL" Contacts ?
Also i miss: mark any Contacts for delete...
Delete (ICS): Click the menu button, then "Delete" and then mark your contacts.
Export to external SD card (ICS): Click the menu button, the Import/Export and then choose your desired option from there.

Open PHONE, press the CONTACTS -third icon on top (if you're on the CALL icon, you'll only see SETTINGS). Then press MENU. There you'll see Import/export.
Pls. press Thanks if that helped you..
