I deleted the lowbattery.ogg sound file from system/media/audio/ui, and no more annoying beep. The low battery alert still shows up on screen however, but it's less painful to hear my battery dying silently!

bump.
Anyone know of an app or mod to adjust or eliminate low battery notification / alerts?
I'll go search the 'market...
EDIT: I tried "Battery Notifier" and "Batteryminder". In each case, they did nothing to stop or otherwise affect the default low battery alerts - merely added additional status bar icons and notification options (and these icons were redundant to TSM's accurate battery mods).
sigh...

[Q] Lights on Vibrant

Is there anyway to disable the 4 lights on the bottom? I'm assuming this would increase battery performance as the lights are always on when I'm using the phone.

Nope there is not. For better battery life you can recondition your battery.{wipe batterystats.bin} on a full charge. My battery life sucked and what helps a lot is shutting off the data when you are not using it. Your battery life will almost double. Depending on how much data you use.
Where can I find the .bin file?

Dont need to find it.. When your battery is at 100% boot into recovery mode, go to advanced then wipe battery stats. Or you can get battery calibration app in market. Both work good
That's odd that you can't turn off the home row lights as they were off on previous Froyo ROMs. It it a Gingerbread or a Cyanogen thing? They seem to go off every now and then.
Are they on all the time, could be BLN, or LED Notify.

LED Notification not working with NoLED?

It looks like the LED notification doesn't work with the NoLED app.
When NoLED is turned on and you get a new notification, it seems like the phone screen is on to flash that notification. Thus, the phone LED indicator doesn't work because it only works when the screen is off.
That's too bad because I'd love to have both notifications instead of having to choose one or the other.
Can anyone else confirm this is the case with their phone too?
FYI, not that it matters but I'm on the TMo SGS3.
Thanks.
Isn't noled used on phones WITHOUT led notifications?

my exact thoughts... I remember it being developed for the G2 if my memory serves me right... which is questionable right now.

Yes of course, but I'm thinking OP just thinks it'd be more convenient if both worked so you didn't miss any important texts/emails. On another note, if this did work it would dramatically decrease your battery life because the NOLED already holds a wakelock and stops the phone from deep sleeping.

Battery percentage

How do you make your battery status show percentage? I tried battery indicator and other apps but I would like to know how to do it without using any apps for it.

most custom ROMS have tweaks/mods for that. check out the mods section.:laugh: or whatever its called, "Themes and Apps"
Most people use UTO Kitchen to do what you want. Google it you'll find it.

If you are rooted, you can use UOT as previously stated. But when you are in the low battery percentage, it'll start to read wrong. I am not sure why nobody has looked into this as this a bug that can be very annoying for those using battery %s.

R: NOLED
I use flashME, it work very nice and haven't battery drain

I just started using NoLed and as far as I can tell, it works really well. You can turn the brightness of the led notification down all the way and still see it pretty well. It'll save your battery. Also, an awesome setting: when your phone is in your pocket or face down, the notification won't turn on until you uncover the phone's sensor(take phone out of pocket). That right there is my selling point.
Hope that helps

Did you get it to work? NoLed isn't perfect. I noticed that if you get a text or call, the notification will pop up, but only once. It disappears if you wake your phone. Mess with the settings more, there are a lot of options. Make it so the notification pops up only when your phone is out of your pocket.

Is there anything better than NOLED . I just hate it when it lights up my room at night. Guess we are stuck.
If only these manufacturers left some of the basic stuff unchanged like the physical home button, notification and charging led and the navigation button placement order. There should be a standard for this kind of things from Google.

[Q] Lightflow constant LED?

Hello everyone,
Okey when I had my Nexus and used the Lightflow app, and a certain notification popped up in the notification bar (that notification was setup in Lightflow with a blinking LED) with screen on it would also blink.
On my note2, if my screen is on and I get that notification, it doesn't blink. I have no idea why.
Anybody familiar with Lightflow? Any ideas how I can make Lightflow blink with screen on?
Sent from my AK-55
Have you checked out Lightflows settings to make sure that you have that checked? Also that may only be a option in the paid version of Lightflow. Im not very familiar with it but it should under settings I would think.
Edit:
Just treated it for myself and it works perfectly on the free version. Click on the app in you app drawer, click settings, enable root mode, enable Samsung mode, then set your apps up.
I tested it on a low battery and it wouldn't quit flashing or give me a notification to turn it off like it does with email and other apps so I had to set it to go off after one minute for the low battery warning. I think the only reason it didn't have a pop ip was because the battery was already at 9%. The light stayed on the entire time the screen was on also.

No problem, its a bit annoying when it wouldnt show the notification for the battery so you may have that problem in the future or it may just be cause I tested it with a low battery.
