Battery percentage - HTC Rezound

How do you make your battery status show percentage? I tried battery indicator and other apps but I would like to know how to do it without using any apps for it.

most custom ROMS have tweaks/mods for that. check out the mods section.:laugh: or whatever its called, "Themes and Apps"

Most people use UTO Kitchen to do what you want. Google it you'll find it.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda premium

If you are rooted, you can use UOT as previously stated. But when you are in the low battery percentage, it'll start to read wrong. I am not sure why nobody has looked into this as this a bug that can be very annoying for those using battery %s.

[MOD]Battery Mod (Accurate, Blue) *UPDATED 11-4-10*

Here is a battery mod i put together. The screenshots below give it no justice. Try it and let me know what you think. It will work on any 2.1 ROMS*** MUST BE A ROM WHICH SUPPORTS ACCURATE BATTERY OR HAVE ALREADY APPLIED ANOTHER ACCURATE BATTERY MOD (ex. Bionix Roms)***. This swaps out some files in Framework-res.
***NANDROID FIRST***
-Open Metamorph
-Select 'Unzip/Extract New Theme'
-Select 'BatteryUpdate.zip'
-Apply All
***This morph ONLY mods the battery***
Thank you Flak_Munkey for your help!
You said that the morph only mods the battery but there is a SS of the wifi, bt etc, are those changed also? The battery mod looks nice, I dig it.
Ok I applied it and its just the battery icon as stated in the op. I have to admit its pretty sweet. How do the percentages work? The mod shows my battery is at 80%, however a battery widget I have says 75%.

Thanks. Been looking for the stock battery in blue with percentage. I'm also interested on the calculation. The icon shows 100 but when I do settings;about phone;status, battery level show 90%.

The percentage works pretty simply. I just replaced the stat_sys_battery0-100 png's in system/framework/framework_res. I've been running it for 2 days without any problems. I would recommend fully charging the phone so everything can reset at 100. Let me know if this works, otherwise I'll have to work on a fix. Thanks.

Still not working for me man after charging to 100%. I applied it correctly and didn't get any errors.

Ok, I gotta fix this when I get home today. I think I've found the problem. I'll update the OP. So its just not displaying the correct percentage?
Yes, the mod says 100% but a battery widget I have says 89%. Also I'm not sure if your mod has a charging motion but if it does that dosent appear to be working either. Thanks for sharing your work with us!

Not showing the right percentage on mine. I'm running rooted/stock JI6. Thanks for the effort and looking forward to your update.
Mentalex asked me to help him on this morph. The morph is fine and does what it is supposed to. ljv, the reason it is not working on yours is you are running stock JI6, and stock , iirc, does not have the accurate battery fix in place to use this morph. Apply either the accurate battery mod (this one should work - no guarantees - was created by s0niqu3 for stock) or a ROM such as Bionix Final or Fusion, then apply the morph.
Bronk, what ROM are you running? I am assuming at the moment it is the same situation as ljv.
Edit: the charging part of this where it is not fulling up completely during the animation is due to the way the morph was created. I let Mentalex know what was wrong, so hopefully a fix for that will be made soon.
Thanks Flak. I just borked my phone. I'm guessing I shouldn't have clockworked the zip file? Restoring it now. Nanroid is your friend

NP ljv. I thought that version of the accurate battery would work, but I guess not. Oh well. I may make something that will work later, but I would recommend switching over to one of the Bionix Rome anyway.

No biggie. It's a learning experience. When I first came here, I was too afraid to do anything. After doing lots of reading, I'm pretty comfortable hacking the phone now. This thing is hard to kill
Thanks Flak. I'm gonna fix the issues with this tonight. Thanks for your patience everyone!
Yes I'm running stock ji6 also, that sucks it won't work, oh well.

You take full responsibility for any damage you may do to your phones, but ljw and Bronk, if you want to replace the framework-res.apk file (which has the files that control the battery images/animations), you can use the attached and do an
adb push "location of the file"\framework-res.apk /system/framework
adb reboot

Click to collapse
.
Or use something like Root Explorer to replace the file.
It *should* work and have an accurate battery, and then you will be able to flash this or other battery morphs and have them work properly.

If anyone tries this pease let me know if it worked so I can include it in the OP.
I restored my phone so all is good.
There are working accurate battery mods out that that I successfully flashed with no problems. I just went back to stock because I didn't like the color green. Was hard to read the percentage. So, maybe I should flash that again, then morph this blue one?

There are mods like that. They just have not came up with it for nero yet.
Oh ok. How would I be able to find them if they would become available? Is there like a list of mods for certain roms anywhere?

I deleted the lowbattery.ogg sound file from system/media/audio/ui, and no more annoying beep. The low battery alert still shows up on screen however, but it's less painful to hear my battery dying silently!

bump.
Anyone know of an app or mod to adjust or eliminate low battery notification / alerts?
I'll go search the 'market...
EDIT: I tried "Battery Notifier" and "Batteryminder". In each case, they did nothing to stop or otherwise affect the default low battery alerts - merely added additional status bar icons and notification options (and these icons were redundant to TSM's accurate battery mods).
sigh...

[Q] Program to track battery in detail?

Hi, on my old desire I used Current widget to get a log for how much battery I was using. Unfortunately this program doesn't work with samsungs battery drivers.
Any tips on how to do this? Want to test different setting to get a better picture of the battery usage
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
I wanted to try to edit the Samsung battery driver to enable current readings, I think it could be done.
That said someone claimed battery monitor pro worked to see current, but I'm not totally sure. I made a current widget thread here weeks ago.
Thanks for the reply. I see I should have searched (the search function in the xda app is terrible tho) .
Just tried the program, and all it would tell me was an estimation, not at all accurate. It kept hopping between guessing 1 or 2 mA. Didn't even know capacity of the battery.

Ok so that answers that then. I really would like to try a project modifying the battery driver to enable current readings at some point. Maybe someday...until then not much to do.
Does the current widget show readings with the charger plugged in? The original galaxy worked this way.
for now battery monitor works as far as giving estimates and you have to configure the battery manually but it logs and you can put a widget in your task tray that shows the battery in percentage.

[DISCUSSION]Battery calibration

I have read that the battery calibration doesn't work and also I have tried it with no effect.....
So what's your opinion on that??????
Request to mods if not suitable topic to be discussed plz close the thread..... Thanks
My understanding is, that battery calibrators delete battery stats files. This will happen anyway when you charge your phone. So there is no need to calibrate the battery, it does automatocally once you fully charge your phone.

You should learn something about Android before posting stupid posts... You can delete your battery stats and this won't be better battery life... NEVER.

If you have battery problems, charge to 100%, drain it untill it shuts the phone down and then charge it to 100% turned off if possible. I do this whenever I change ROM.
it's not healthy to do this often! Once a month is okay.
clearing battery stats won't do much help
I have been having issues with my battery for a long time...at first I thought a virus might be draining all the battery...but when I scanned my files with a AV nothing was found...A few days later I noticed that my screen would blink with the LED and illumination bar every time a notification would display due to an app...so I simply uninstalled the app and voila back to normal.
