Hey everyone I'm new here and just recently got HTC Mozart. Its not a bad phone, but I am having some problems where I cannot access the market place, because it requires a activation code. Does anyone know what the code is or how to get it. Right now I cannot really do anything on the phone, its a bit boring, so I need some advice.
Thanks.

have you subscribe to hotmail or live messenger, once you set these up on the phone running, the market place should work.
Hi, thanks for replying, but yes I am already subscribed, when I try to sign in or create a new hotmail, it keeps asking an acitivation code, at the botton, it says call support, which takes me directly to orange which are no help at all. What should I do. Thanks
i have the mozart, and have master reset it many times, but have'nt come across activation code, would this be a network lock, can you take a photo and upload it.

is this a new account, and also in the phone all you need to do is sign in, not create a new account.
Well the phone is second hand where I bought from a shop and I already have hotmail account. So what happens now?
have you checked if the phone is network locked.
How do I check if it is network locked, the network I'm using now is orange, it could be locked to Orange.
can you put a different usim, other than the orange, can you also take a photo of the screen showing the activation code.
have you set up hotmail to run on the phone yet, does it work.
No I can't run the hotmail on the phone, because when I do that, it asks me for an activation code. So how did you get access on the marketplace?
can you take a photo of the phone, can you put a different usim in the phone.
Call Microsoft support they'll give you new activation code in no time
Yeah I will try call them, thanks for the advice

Hi all,
I have been trying for weeks to get the IM.apk on my htc hero by installing it through appinstaller and pushing it through terminal. I also put the ImProvider.apk, TmoImPlugin.apk, com.android.im.plugin.jar and so on. I have tried everything to get it working. All i want is the native IM app that has msn and yahoo because it was my favorite on the G1. I use google talk but i also want the official IM app. Anyone figure out a way to do this? I have been at this for weeks. Please help me, thanks

PLEASE!!!!
Anyone knows how can we install this IM?
Thanks...
Just an FYI, but it's largely a waste of time unless you happen to be a T-Mobile US customer since it doesn't work over cellular data for the more common protocols (AIM, MSN etc). If you are a T-Mobile US customer, it will "work" via a cellular connection, but does so using SMS messages - if you have any other carrier SIM, it will complain that it cannot read your phone number.
If you just want to use if over WiFi - it works fine.
There was a hacked version of this floating round the Dream forums some time ago that did allow proper cellular data instant messaging, but I've no idea what happened to it.
Regards,
Dave

Actually, this is being worked on at the moment by inkredi and myself. Progress can be tracked through the thread that inkredi linked to. Both of us have some ideas, but not a ton of time to work on it. I'm fairly confident we'll get it working 100% fairly soon though.
Hi, as one of my friends phone was about to get stolen when we were out in town a few days ago, I wanted some tracking and anti-theft software on my GS2. I found out how the pre-installed software from Samsung works (go to http://www.samsungdive.com/DiveMain.do and register your phone, and then enable tracking under the phone's security settings). But it is a very poor anti-theft solution if you ask me, even thou it works just as well as any solution on the market. First of all, if GPS is disabled and you try to track your phone using the Samsung website, it will ask you "do you want to enable GPS?"..that's just plain stupid and I don't see why it can't force it to start. Second of all, if my phone got stolen I would expect it to get reset to factory settings at some point. In order to avoid this, the phone should ask for the same pincode it ask for when you enable/disable tracking. That way it should always be possible to find the phone if it ever got stolen. I figured it was a simple yet good idea and wanted to feature request it for Android, but I couldn't find any information on where you can do so. Do any of you guys know? Or do any of you developers talk to the Android developers or do they roam in a certain part of the XDA forum?

Please try to contact Samsung/Google via the official contact/support email addresses first.
As they are using help desk systems, each email to those addresses become documented as a request or ticket and will be worked through in some way.
Every other contact (via personal network or a free/internet forum) is "in-official" and could lead into a loss of your input.
Good luck !

It doesn't on my phone. It remotely turns on GPS automatically with no prompt on the phone.
Hey everyone, I usually read xda A LOT to troubleshoot, root, hack, do all things to my devices, and this is a great resource, I love it!
I've finally created an account due to a problem that I can't overcome. It's about HTCDev and the registration/email process.
I'm planning to root a Droid DNA I just bought and already prepped everything including custom ROM and kernels, etc. All I need to do is unlock the bootloader so I can install all the stuff.
Problem is, I can't seem to get HTCDev to cooperate with me. Literally all I need is for someone to get the boot unlock code using the ID Token I've already obtained.
Beofre, I waited hours for them to repair and update their registration process, and when they finally did, I registered, but they never sent me an activation email. But the account exists because if I try registering the same info again, it says the info has been taken.
Tried two other accounts, checked all spam folders, nothing. I even emailed their customer support, and even asked for help on their Twitter. So far no response.
Is it possible for someone with a working account to help me generate my unlock token if I PM them my ID token? Or any other way I can get past this one thing? That'll be great.
And again, this is an amazing resource and I'm glad to have all of you out there making the Android experience better.
Had the same problem yesterday. Registration now finally worked with the 3rd e-mail address I provided. Seems the activation email comes either immediately or never. Try again (until you run out of addresses...).

Lucky bastard (jokingly that is)
SUCCESS I finally got it to work with a 3rd email... so all you peeps you arent having any luck just keep trying with emails I got it to work after a 3rd try
(3 different emails and usernames that is)
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using XDA Premium HD app
On LINE, the messaging app popular in Asia, it requires you to verify your age to gain access to adding people and people adding me via ID rather than QR code.
I'm unable to verify my age as I'm with T-Comst (who use Docomos masts for signal) but because it goes through Docomo they ask me to sign in with a Docomo login, which I don't have because I'm not with them!
I'm rooted with xposed installed if anyone can help!
EDIT: I used xprivacy and disabled line from accessing the sim card checks and my problem is now sorted
Hi,
I know this is already an old post but I am having the same problem. I have already install xPrivacy but I can't figure out what you did. Can I ask for more details of what you did to solve the problem? I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you in advance.
would like to know too... using B-mobile that uses docomo as carrier, but since I have no docomo number I can't verify my age... stupid thing.
My questions are simple
I have a friend who was playing an Android game
Dragons of Atlantis heirs of the dragon... Yesterday he played like normal, logged in, logged out... Everything was OK...
But today at 4am someone else logged in his account and deleted everything... Approximately 17000 $ of stuff bcuz you know gamers spend money some times...So is there a game bot, or exploit that breaks that game to find out emails and password? Bcuz that happened...So if anyone knows how to trace that sort of thing from my device let me know...However I don't have a computer just a phone but please reply to private MSG thanks

Man that happens when you download an application from another web and not from play store it's a very simple exploit that they made for u, you can trace maybe if your account it's from Gmail there is a option that can bring the IP and the location of your logs, and a recommendation, you should made more stronger your password and add your number phone to your email address to have more security, for now change your password this would fix that little hackers.
didn't answer my question
How do u find out the IP. Address. Of who used the email account. Besides the. Owner? I would do it myself but I can't help him...i don't. Have pc

Hey bro.
Isn't so difficult tracing back an IP address an email and some passwords by haltering an app.
First of all, as rjcreations saied change email password with a safer one.
Then, make sure next time to download by trusted source like Play Store.
At the end, I can suggest you, after having changed password, send an email to the game devs explaining what's going on your account and see what reply you will obtain.
Ah and make sure to scan twice with MalwareBytes and AVG free (or Avast if you think it's better). Those ones work like a charm
(with you I mean your friend obv, but these advice are the standard ones)
I hope best wishes for you and say to your friend to take care next time
ok
That advice I gave to him already before the first response...just from what I know...
But he thinks that the person who got into his game was from California and he lives in Texas...but he said that the person in California. Has been trying to get him to quit game...and I didn't know that he had given out his login info to one person...so either that did it or they gave out info...i know there's three levels of security...but not sure how. To do it on phone.
He can't change password. According to dev...not yet...so I don't know
