So I'm loving BAMF 1.6, but one thing I've noticed is that I can't seem to assign a custom ringtone to a contact.
I remember it being under the contact profile when you're editing it, but with BAMF 1.6 it doesn't seem to be there.
Anyone have an idea?

Find the ringtone/song in the stock music app, press menu>more>set as ringtone.

I just installed the Bionix-v ROM yesterday, and it appears everything seems to be working fine so far except for my e-mail notifications sounds. I do get the notification in the notification bar but no vibration or sound alert! Is this a general problem or something just happening to mine?
I did not back up or restore anything regarding to my email, just user apps and bookmarks. I do have custom ringtones for each of my email accounts and they worked fine with Nero v5. i can still go in and select the notification tones and they play while selecting but not when an email arrives!
Please let me know if anyone else is having this problem and how to fix it if there is a solution out there! Thanks
Alright this looks to be a problem with the build that samsung released. Even ppl who got the update from samsung seem to be having this problem!. So it looks like a switch back to nero for me till these bugs are fixed. I look forward to team whiskey's next build!

Does Bionix 1.3.1 have a new email.apk or does it use one from 1.2.1? I could use other apps from market for exchange but i like the way stock email app looks but i have two problems with it, 1) notification is only vibration and no sound ( I have seen the solution for it in xda) and 2) My company sends out mails in form of jpegs and pngs and the stock never shows the picture.I have to do "show picture" everytime and i have not been able to find a solution for it.

I have the same issue. I fixed it by using GBMail.apk but it is lacking the search feature or the nice folder feature like the stock 2.2 has. I also used the Nero3 email.apk however its to dark for me to see in some parts of my job. I guess i am still on the hunt for a good working stock email app.
and Bionix 1.2.1. 1.3, and 1.3.1 all have the same issue.
Hey guys, I am using Trips 2.2 Miui rom and when I go to assign a custom ringotne for a contact it always stays at "default" no matter what mp3 i use. I have done this in the past but not with version 1.0.63 which I just flashed today. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Is there any way to port the stock messaging apk to a non-rooted mt4g (2.2.1)? Ive been looking for this for awhile and cant find a solution. Im trying to add it along side the htc messaging app which is really slow and fc's a lot. So is there a dev that can try to make this successful for me please!
Btw: Ive already tried Handcent, chomp sms, and go sms and none have satisfied me.

I'm having a small problem with notifications on CM7.1.
Ever since the upgrade to 7.1 I've noticed that I do not get any notification sounds on any of the "Google" apps. These include Talk, Gmail and SMS. Whatsapp does have sound.
I had a look at the following thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1300333, but that problem seemed to have sorted itself out.
I have also tried the "sdcard/notifications" solution given on another thread, but still no luck.
Does anyone have an idea what can be wrong and how I can go about fixing it.
Any help will be appreciated.
