Earlier today I upgraded gingerblur from 2.5 to 3.1 via system recovery. When the phone rebooted, it asked to me if i would like to use the launcher provided or setup. I wasnt sure what setup was so i chose that at i ended having to re-set up my entire phone. Though annoying, this only took a short time to replace the files that i had lost since I have only had this phone for a week. However after doing this i reliezed that i couldnt use any apps that required a 4g (or 3g) connection without being connected to WiFi. I checked the list of APN's and there were none there. Im not sure what to do to fix this but i need help fast.
What carrier are you on? What country are you in?
Im on AT&T,In USA
You should just need to re-add the APNs....or try a reboot if you have not tried that.
I lost data connectivity after recovery flashing DebDroid (not CMW compatabile, opps). Try adding in the APN, select it, cycle airplane mode (disable wifi too) and chec Settings>About Phone<Phone Status, and see what it says.

try this go to settings/mobile networks/access point names/then press the settings button and reset to defult
I have had a similar problem. You are on 1.83, right?
If so, try doing a factory reset. This should restore att network settings.
Better to just 1.57 sbf,ota to 1.83,gingerbreak,install gb3.1 for a cleaner install.

I'm only on 1.5.7 I'm not sure if this is the issue

I had this problem after I did a factory reset while on 1.57 with GreyBlur installed. The problem didn't go away until I flashed the 1.83 SBF.
I should have mentioned it more clearly in my previous post. Im pretty certain GB3.1 is for 1.83. Check the prerequisites on Kens website. From personal experience, I recommend the above method on my first response.
Good luck

Just as a note, x10i Isn't for North America so the 3g wouldn't work ever in it. The X10a is what you need for North American 3g.

Wrong. T-Mo in the U.S. and Wind Mobile in Canada can handle the X10i in 3g.
Won't work with Rogers, though.
I had the same issue with O2 Ireland setting.
When I checked the settings o2 web gprs it had internet_off.
Once I renamed this to internet I had connection
Weird.

Google ATT apn settings and you should be able to find them easily

As long as your network support x10's band frequency it should work just fine, the APN may need resetting, you can find the auto setting option on the phone.
As for themes, there are a few themes you can wipe once you gain root access, see post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=737778

I believe that's somehow used for tethering detection/enforcement.
Nuking it from the CSC is one of the customizations I make to the CSC in Hellraiser.
I don't have a tethering pan but in Jan I got a txt warning me..I haven't tethered since

If you're gonna get an attitude about it, then resolve your own problem, my work is done here.
It's the same as most HTC devices set the APN from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1428457 for simple web, after you do so create a new APN name it Simple MMS with the same exact parameters except for APN type at the bottom set that to mms that should solve the problem for you.
Works just fine for me on Simple. Here is the string for apn.
Put it on the mmsc space:
http://smpl.mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
Make only ONE apn for Simple. Do notbuse two like the T-Mobile has one for data and one for phone.

I gave him that one directly from simple's site, but instead of trying to troubleshoot it, he had an attitude.
By the way, not all T-Mobile users have two apn's, I only use one, lol.
I've noticed on each CM based rom Ive flashed that I'm getting terrible data speeds. I thought flashing the LF6 modem would fix that but it hasn't. Any ideas as to what the cause of the slower speeds are? My normal was anywhere from 6-10mbps but now I'm fortunate to get 3.

There is a fix floating around, actually its it s settings tweak and it should increase you're non-wifi data speed tremendously. If you can wait a few min ill track it down and post a link.
If you read the thread you'll see that the settings are working for a lot of people
Only thing is they are att settings, which carrier do you have?

Ok I couldn't find the thread that contained this tweak and it's not mine, but in tha tthread most people were increasing data speads by a factor of three.
Download speedtest from market (free) and run a test without wifi on
Then go to settings / more... / Mobile Networks / make sure it's set to LTE/GSM
Then go back into mobie networks / access point names (select att/LTE), then click on the left of the att/LTE to open up a settings menu. Here are the settings for the tweak, so copy them down exactly as I give them to you:
Name: ATT LTE
APN: pta
Proxy: not set
Port: not set
Username: not set
Passwrod: not set
Server: not set
MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication: not set
APN Type: default,supl,mms
APN Prtotocol: IPV4
Then do a reboot and run the speedtest again.
Please post your results
Thanks for the help but the speeds are still about the same. My network settings were already set to what you specified so I just reentered them and I don't see any change yet. When I get full bars I'll do it again and post but his is what I've been getting with 3. The 2 bottom ones are from before and the top one I just did.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
As far as criteria you have 3:
Must have broadband internet access (this is how the tower gets its power i thinks
Must have an account in good standing with the carrier
You must promise to return the tower in all of its contents back to the carrier within 30 day of cancellation
Other than that you will be speaking with a special team within tech support and they determine distance from tower and likely hood of success with the tower.

I was having the same problem but I figured it was because they were turning LTE on in my area. I didn't have LTE the day before and when I noticed the icon there my mms didn't work. I flashed a different rom and mms works now.

As in rooted stock? I haven't tried that yet.
I did a little more testing yesterday, and I figured out that the problem ONLY happens at my house. Yesterday I tried sending myself a picture message about 7 miles down the road, and was able to send/receive it just fine on both 2g & 3g.
