Is there any way to change the wifi sleep policy on the CM roms like you can with the MIUI roms? I am almost always around wifi but when the wifi sleeps my automatic updates are using up my data quota.

Go to Settings/wifi settings then push your left key (menu) and select advanced settings. Set wifi sleep to never. Works on wolfs latest cm rom.

Hello everybody,
I really hope someone can help me with my wifi problems.
My wifi automatically disconnects. Its is not sleeppolicy or what ever.
The time between every disconnection is random.
It is really annoying when I use msn or when I am downloading something on my phone
First I thought that is was a rom problem, but it is not... I've been on different roms like stock, darkys rom and now CM7 Nightlies #95. With every rom I used I had this problem.
I think it has something to do with my installed apps. I always restore them with titanium backup but I have never restored the data or systemapps... so this is not a problem right??
When I kill al the running apps, the disconections stop for a minute or two but after that it......
It is really annoying and I hope someone could help me
Btw when I disable wifi I don't have any problems.

Try changing sleep policy for it. Instead "turn off the screen" select "Never"

I have an issue using the wireless tether app included with monolith theory. When ever the screen turns off, I lose internet connection, but it instantly comes back when the screen is turned back on. I had the same issue with the first theory Rom as well.
Has anybody else experienced this?

I haven't tried the wireless tether, but have you checked in settings under wireless and network - mobile network settings to see if the box that says "enable always on mobile data" is checked? If that box is not checked, the data will turn off when the screen goes off. Hope this helps!

I search an app or a MOD that automatically turn 3g off when I lock the phone. It shouldn't turn off the hole internet. It shoul switch from 3g to 2g when I lock my phone.
