Pretty cool lockscreen works great

I loves me the Go Dev Team, lots of high quality apps from them.
the go team has a bad rep, so i don't think ill be rocking any of their stuff. You guys should really look into what they really do, ever wonder why its free? Ill just tell you this much XDA doesn't support Go dev team
bad rep as far as what?
I've never had a problem with any of the Go apps. They always update weekly, and they do everything I need for them to do.
This has worked flawlessly for two days - I like it. Agile Lock, which has much greater customization ability, would give me the double lockscreen occasionally regardless of which of their fixes I used. No issues with the Go Lockscreen. Given some time, this will probably have the same level of customization as Agile Lock.

Google doesn't sell your info... and nor do carriers, it would make them look shady and untrustworthy why do you think google pulled out from china? (Or did your forget already?) china was hacking and what not into google severs and such taking peoples basic info and sensitive info. Digital era my friend now they can literary F***K you up online and do you some pretty bad damage. IE Take your money, Your Titles , Profit from your info from other companies etc etc etc etc and yes even take Mr Fluffy that 50 Pound cat that does nothing

Not wanting to start a debate, just giving my two cents.
careful or paranoid?
Nearly every app you install asks for permission to your info. I don't keep sensitive info in my phone. I don't input CC numbers, don't use a bank app and all my passwords are different on my phone then the ones I use for my "sensitive info".
"Opted in or opted out" lately, do you really know?
How many times have you been out at a restaurant and given the server your CC and they disappear for 5-10 minutes in the backroom? Lord knows what they can do with it in that time.
The world knew me from the day the internet started and before.
They can have the damn cat.....
Sorry for the off topic BS...

I was using it for a bit (didnt try the password). It seemed to work pretty good but I went back to the stock Motorola lockscreen. I did however keep using Go Launcher Ex as I love the themes. Currently using the Ice Cream Sandwich theme
This bad reputation thing seems just like an opinion from somebody. As big as the go launcher is google would have been up on them already!
I like GO apps, first app I install on my new phones are GO SMS.
After using this for a few days, it appears that it was carousing sine battery drain. I had to uninstall until the next version hopefully fixes it.
Sent from my MoPho
Just going to end it with this you can never be too careful. And certain apps need that type of info to operate correctly from trusted sources, what your cc and a restaurant have to do with this I have no clue. XDA doesn't trust them and that's more than enough to keep me away from them point period
So I installed the go locker from the market, and as was mentioned in one of the previous posts here I believe, it won't lock. Bipasses my lock screen, so it is pretty cool, but that alone made me uninstall it.
I was wondering, any devs, is it possible to get the genius button software to work on the Amaze? That is the only thing I miss from my old 3g slide.

Doesn't the Genius button do what the search button does with voice command?
Or am I wrong?
Basically yes, but it worked so much better for me. I do a lot of driving and it was nice to have hands free mode turned on and it would read me my texts and tell me who was calling.

download vlingo from the market, it has car mode, it does all of what you are saying better than genius...trust me I've used both...you can activate it by voice, it reads incoming messages and lots more.
Doesn't read texts like the genius did, or I can't get it to.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Genius options on the MyTouch series are integrated into the firmware giving them the ability to access text messages, music, search, etc. I don't think that can simply be installed it will probably need a custom firmware built from the MyTouch line.

your wrong programs on the market can have permissions set up to access things on your phone, integration into your firmware has nothing to do with it, android is and open system allows programs to access other parts of your phone...download vlingo go into car mode and turn on safe reader...heck there's even a tutorial with the app, It won't tell you who's calling it will read your texts...you can download other apps to read you who's calling...search the market. If you really wanted the genius button why didn't you just get another mytouch???
Good morning everyone,
To keep it simple, I am looking for an app/mod for texting through the PC.
For example, a text comes in and it shows on my PC and I can answer back through my PC.
Phone: Rooted HTC Evo 3D MIUI latest.
PC: Windows 7 Pro.
Any help will be really appreciated.
Thank you beforehand.
Best regards,
Raul.
Can we please just answer this guy and not go off like kids for once? Sorry man but I can't help here. Hopefully someone will be able to. Please make sure questions are posted in the q&a section.

I used to use Google voice a lot for voicemail but once I figured out its integration with SMS, it got really annoying. I didnt want it saving all my text messages in its system and having to delete them every week while going through my voicemails. I even went through all the settings, but was only able to either dissable all SMS on the phone, or let it handle the Texts so I deleted the app until they fix that.

To be completely honest, I don't know. I use it every day when I get into the office. My phone goes in the dock and connects to WiFi. I run the program and open the browser, login, and I'm good to go. I can listen to my music from my phone, read/answer text messages, look at pictures, install apps. The only thing I wish it did was emulation of your phone, but it's not necessary. Give it a shot, you'll be glad you did.
What your asking is exactly what Google Voice does. I have it and it's pretty great. On sprint it's integrated so you can even make your number the GVoice number so no problems there. I would suggest that.

Like I said, I used it as well but I hated the fact that it was all my text messages and they would not delete after deleting from my phone. But the main reason I didn't like it is that it would sync together with the voice mails so I would have to dig through all the text to find the voice mails.
Speaking of Google voice, any one know of an alternative?
I am rooted with MIUI but voice mail doesn't seem to work on it.
What do you guys suggest?

Q: Is GVNotifier portable?
A: Yes, copy the application files from the GVNotifier install loction. Create a blank text file named settings.xml in the same directory as GVNotifier.net.exe. GVNotifier will then store all preferences and cached contact photos in the same directory.

I hate to be that guy.. but talking about pirated apps is a huge no no on xda and can get you banned. Because you are on a site for developers. That would be like going to a music artist's page and talking about how you steal their music. I read somewhere that verizon is selling our browsing history. So I decided to call them up and ask to opt out. They are actually doing this. Seriously. I cussed him out until he hung up on me. I am no where close to being done. I would call up and complain about this. This is an invasion of privacy.

I don't think they could do this without a change in their privacy policy... I haven't received any notification of a change in the policy for years that I remember, however sometimes I just chuck that stuff in file 13 if I see it. If such a change came out, it would cause a huge stir in the online community, and I haven't seen any such thing.

Does Verizon use software installed on handsets to collect this information, or do they collect it externally by inspecting the traffic going across their network?
If they are installing software on our phones... well thats bad and shouldn't be allowed to happen.
If they are using equipment on their own network to inspect traffic... well, we can't do anything about that other than switch to a different service provider. It's their network afterall..
This is like CarrierIQ. That junk was everywhere and as soon as consumers found out, Verizon and a bunch of other networks got hit hard.
I don't think they would make that mistake again (I am giving them a lot of credit here).
It just makes me mad whenever they think that they can just go on our phones. Internet history is private property, and they shouldn't be snooping in it.
