I have some problems with multitouch. When I press some points of the screen, the points 1 and 2 changes in multitouch tester.
Do you have the same problem ?

I've done a good bit of research and I'm surprised that nobody has asked how to fix the crappy multi touch streak has.
Here are the issues it currently has (tested in MultiTouch Visualizer 2):
-Does not read second touch until the finger has actually moved
-If you release the second finger without moving the first the phone will not recognize that the first finger is still touching the screen until you move it
-The screen will not register more than 2 touches (the app will just turn the screen blank when a third finger is placed)
So here is my question: Does anybody know of a way to modify the multi touch (response and number of points) through any means like build.prop or perhaps a modified kernel?
Same problem. Still looking for solution. It`s problematic with emulators and most games.
how to fix the bug on the multitouch? (when i tap with two fingers and the screen show me other place)
Hi all.
As in topic, I have issue withy me screen. What I mean - when i use 2 fingers (dual touch) after few sec by moving both finger on the screen they are freezing. No one point is moving. I tried this in Multitouch visualiser and as i said. Dualtouch is working only moment and it is freezing. Next problem is when i write sth. Sometimes letter are doubled or typed "s" or "d" even when i didnt type that. I'm using Jusada ICS and LagFreeV3.
Hello all,
I'd like to know if the multitouch issue I'm hitting is more likely to be a hardware or software issue.
Singletouch working normally and accurate.
Multitouch recognises fingers approx 1cm over actual position.
Trying to describe...
if I'm only using 1 finger its ok and the pointer is where my finger is but if I'm adding a second finger the pointer moves ~1cm up.
So both fingers are way below the position the streak thinks they are.
Using DSC v2.2 and dont hit this issue on a 2nd streak.
Tried to use the touchscreen calibration but didnt change anything.
Is it possible that this issue is related to the hardware?
Thanks,
You can test with "multitouch tester" from playstore

Ok, way easier to visualise...
Seems like I've a moveable dead zone within my streak.
To explain see attached pic.
If finger one is where it is located on the pic and finger 2 is either above green line 1 or below green line 2 everything seems to work ok.
But if the finger 2 is set between both green lines both circles are set completely to the mid.
Also depending on the position of finger 1 the deadzone/green lines move.
Can this be somewhere within android and is somehow repairable or more likely hardware?
I dont hit that on a 2nd streak with dsc2.2 (so both on dsc 2.2)
I'm pretty sure it's hardware issue.
Hi, recently I started facing touch screen issues.
My touch sensitive buttons aren't responding and sometimes the lower part of the touch screen is unresponsive. That is fixed with a gentle squeeze and a lock and unlock. Sometimes the touch behaves as if I'm using two fingers than one (scaling when trying to fast forward video using one finger )
Sometimes the entire touch screen goes unresponsive which is fixed with a lock and unlock. The scroll becomes dead slow too sometimes. Again the fix is the same.
I'm not sure if this is a firmware issue or hardware issue. The rest of the touch works fine.
I'm using a Gionee P6
I tried to trouble shoot using the secret star codes but unfortunately the menu is in Chinese for this device.
If someone could help before I send it in for repair which will take a long time I'd appreciate it
EDIT : I Was able to use the touch screen testing from the diagnosis hardware menu and there are no dead points. Every part of the touch screen responds. Except when I actually use them in Android
