I had a similar problem when reflashing an official firmware after I had used FreeX10 beta 4, I finally got my browser working again by flashing a generic 2.0.A.0.504 firmware and not updating. The baseband I have now is 2.0.46 as opposed to 2.1.54. It might be the problem but I'm in no position to say so, I only know from my experience that this solved my connection issue.
I haven't flashed another firmware over it but I'm a little bit hesitant to do so at this point. I'd rather have internet access then a newer firmware.

There is one problem i can't find that firmware anymore or link has expires or so on :/ i flashed baseband .58 and i have got my web working very well :/ so i dunno might check and reflash everything again Thanks anyway!

I've had the same problem. It's most probably due to the APN not being set up. Go to your providers website, and find APN configurations. Then go to the APN settings in the wirelles & connection settings. Create a new APN using the settings on your provider's website

I know settings my self allready it worked on previous roms... but from now on it just cant work on any rom dunno why :/

I agree, it could be a baseband mismatch. Certain roms need certain basebands (I know for example that TripNRaVeR's need bb 2.0.49 or 2.0.52, but FreeX10 (that I used to use) needs 2.1.54 or 2.1.55.
What you might wanna do is check out the Baseband Collectionhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=960527, grab them all, and try them, one at a time, until you get a match.
Don't forget to back up your phone - I didn't, and lost all my sms messages (bad me).

Read the ROM thread. CM7 is Gingerbread, all GB ROMs currently available use 49/52 BB. Dont just try them all, just use the one the instructions say.

If I (or anyone for that matter!) help you, dont be afraid to press THANKS!

CM7 doesn't require a baseband 58.... Try flashing some other baseband like 2.1.54

Nope :-( still none works :/ damn!

[Q] Why my x10 MIUI 0.3.1 ROM from Trip reboots often!

I don't understand why my X10i BB 2.1.54 currently running MIUI 0.3.1 ROM from Trip gave me soooo much reboots.
I gave my X10i re-flashed about 5 times already and still had no luck to get a rid of this. It caused random reboots while I was using wifi or edge / gprs.
PLEASE ADVICE!!!

If you did read the MIUI thread of Trip good, you would see he is recommending baseband .49.
Succes, and report progress buddy.
I have also had a lot of reboots with trips rom, but after a while when the cache is populated it settles down. To sum it up. Whenever I install a new application or use something I have not used before (market, mail client, etc) it will reboot after a little while (this is especially noticeable for apps that uses any form of communication). But after the first reboot/app I have not been noticing a lot of reboots.

BB 67 issue

Guys I have tried to use bb67 today. I am having issues with gps. It wont connect things like fancy widgets but will work in google maps. I tried on 3 seperate roms Tripnmiui froyo, overdrivegb, and tripncm6. I flashed back to bb54 and it started working again.

Every custom ROM uses a specific baseband used by the dev, so it could be a compatibility issue. However, wrong baseband on a custom ROM usually results in bootloop, not gps issues.
Baseband 67 is actually from regional Germany firmware, so it could also be that the new baseband is not good for your regional networks.

You are correct. That was the problem. I went into the GPS settings and found that it was locating from overseas. I just have to remember or find the settings for the US.

What was your previous ROM and what is the one which you flashed today? And are you getting any networks in the search? If yes, is your home network available in the list?

Which version of Android did u have on your phone before you rooted and flashed a new ROM? Which ROM did u flash?
If u had Froyo (2.2.*) and now u flashed a Gingerbread based ROM (2.3.3), you have a baseband problem (The baseband is the subsystem of the phone that controls radio communications: GSM and data connection...). Froyo uses a different baseband (old) than Gingerbread (new baseband).
Solution: change the baseband according to your newly flashed ROM.
How to upgrade/downgrade baseband for noobs
Flashing baseband (radio) via LGMDP.exe
If u have a Froyo based ROM or any ROM that needs the old baseband (Mik_os's CM7 port...), you need P500-v10E-baseband.7z
For Gingerbread based ROMs u need P500-v20G-baseband.7z
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT:
Since u came from Gingerbread u have the new baseband. Since #forever is based on CM7, it uses the old baseband... U need to downgrade to P500-v10E-baseband.
Has I said I am a rookie but what I did was:
Installed original 2.3.3
- Rooted
- Created recovery
- Installed latest Void #forever
GSM didn't work

Dude, you had 2.3.3 first. It uses new baseband.
Void forever is based on CM7, which supports only old baseband.
You can do any one of the following things:
1. Flash 2.2 official ROM through KDZ. So you'll get old baseband again and you can install void forever. Go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1060121
2. Mik has a fix for the new baseband. It will provide GSM support, but internet data will not work. Wifi will work, GPRS/3G will not. Go here and flash the file through recovery: http://www.multiupload.com/R9CEDO2HS9
3. You can revert to the old baseband. Follow this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1149530 and you can find the old and new basebands here: http://lg-p500.zrusit.eu/index.php?dir=baseband/
Follow the steps in the given threads and you should be fine.

It gets easier as you get more "seat time" with this stuff.
I'm running Mik's stable at the moment and I'd say it meets 95% of my needs. Great ROM.
also dont forget to look into the available kernels, they are preety much what makes your system what it is concerning its speed, graphics, battery life
the current mik_os and void both have outdated versions of the franco.kernel, and a much more recent version is available, as well as a modified version by fserve.

I have flashed the new kernel, thanks.
Honestly I am very thankful for you guys being so nice. Sometimes I see in the forum some really hard messaging towards the new guys and I think we all want to learn right?
So my biggest problem with the phone I love P500 was that it was a bit laggy and although I moved apps as much as I could to the sd I was running out of space in my rom.
Now the system is a lot faster and although (because I am a noob) I lost some of my stuff I am glad because the phone is working so much better.
Actually I have another question: I bought Titanium backup because it seemed really worth it (it is the only paid app I have) but when I look at all the possible apps to backup there seem to be a lot missing (all the ones in the sd card).
Does anyone now how I can fix it?

are basebands equal for each Cyanogen 7/9 rom build?

Hi there
I think the reason why I do not see a network or SIM card is because the baseband is empty as well as the IMEI.
I installed ICS Dynamite 4.0 and I assume that maybe the missing baseband is the reason.
I am Germany right now, does it matter what baseband I am going to use?
Interestingly when I flash back a working Cyanogen 7 rom a baseband is back.
Any tips?

which cm7 build did you flash?

Are you on the old baseband?
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
being in germany or any other part of the world really shouldnt matter about baseband....v10 is old baseband, if you rooted a stock phone, than yes your on old baseband or so I was when I first got this phone....In order to get v20, you need to use LGDMP v1.5, search for Doktonor's thread on flashing with LGDMP....it's not that hard really, and applies to any v20 series (a,b,c,etc)...all you do is extract the 7z file format, open LGDMP, you'll have 4 files total in this extracted folder.....I cant remember to the T on the whole process but the thread by doktonor is with pictures and well be able to help you out....if your having a problem with mobile data and dont want to risk switching basebands, than look out for aspee's baseband fix or a funny sim fix....it's best to go ahead and flash new baseband, it's easy though....as far as your phone not showing IMEI, that's common on some CM7 based roms, even neko95's Moto Razr-UI v7 rom shows no baseband on my phone, not exactly sure why it does that but I am on new baseband (obviously, since mobile data works)

[Q] Is my baseband old???

Hi guys, first, my native language is spanish, so, be patient with me , Ill try to be clear hehe
Well, I have a Xperia U (ST25a) it had a baseband with termination in 9, but one day when I decided to install the last rom available for the ST25a i noticed that the baseband changed from EC09 to EC01 (now is P2H_EC01), so, here is my question, Can this little change do a mess with my Inernet conection? The 3G signal seems fine, and the browser works good but its IMPOSSIBLE to update or download any app from the Play Store!, I did a few things thinking that maybe was my version of Play Store but it only works when i connect it to Wi-Fi, any ideas?, Last night i installed the rom 89 (pirej debranded one) but the problem persist...could be a problem of my operator???

st25a and st25i have different basebands. The .89 version if am not wrong is for st25i version. So i think you have to flash st25a baseband. Take a backup and try this one http://d-h.st/ON8. Hope works. But remember to take a backup in case something goes wrong buddy.
Thanks, but i've 2 questions
1:I just have to flash by flashtool?
":How I can do a backup of my current baseband?
Thanks again

1) No. You have to flash via cwm. Do you know how to do it?
2) Via flashtool from the rom you are currently using flash only baseband. Don't know if you can restore but i am sure you can flash baseband,
