im just wondering if anyone does full themes like on most the other phone threads. i can only really see status bar themes? or is someone in the making of a full theme. i didnt think it would be any different to theme the dell streak to any other phone. i personally cant get my head round editting png.9 files and xml hence i cant do it myself but surely someone here knows how to edit them and can start producing themes? or is there another site with a theme collection cause xda in general seems to lack choice in anything dell streak related or maybe i was just spoilt with options on the desire hd and galaxy s lol also the status bar doesnt have toggles for wifi and so on? is there a mod for that?

How is this different from loading a launcher on your Streak and then installing a theme that was created for the launcher? I would think it is the same, maybe I am pointing in the wrong direction.
Are the themes over at the Galaxy S forum to be used without a launcher?

we talking about volume pop up the menu pop up the shut down pop up the settings menu and all the volume and display pop ups and tick boxes, the calculator the calendar the contacts the dialer the status bar, every part of the phone visually is themed. what i call proper theme full theme
i tried theming before when i had the galaxy s. just couldnt get my head round learning xml and png.9 files. so instead i used to take parts of peoples themes and put them into the framework and install it so it was how i liked. but thats when u have loads of themes to play with, i dont have the ability to produce a theme or port it
see im wondering, would it be possible to copy all the png and png.9 files from a galaxy s framework res and paste it into the streak and it work? aswell as xml?
Unfortunately the streak wasn't advertised by dell that well so the userbase and developers are lacking. The galaxy on the otherhand is everywhere.

yer very true. being a previous user i went on there an made a question post under themes to ask themers to port them to the streak. one dev has already said he will have a look and give it a try. the galaxy s has a great community and the people are very helpful so fingers crossed someone does it for us and just everybody make sure you donate cause we lack the devs so if we can get devs from other phone to sort us out we need to give em a reason to keep coming back
ok people i have a couple of galaxy s themers looking into porting their themes to the dell streak based on the 1.9 rom. so if they pull it off and post them in the theme section for us then be sure to donate to them for their time and effort for a device they dont even own

good work mate. the black android theme from galaxy s is in the process now, its the best one to start off with. its neutral so any wallpapaer and stuff with go with it and it will get rid of any of the nasty grey pop ups from menu and stuff. if the process goes well then donating will be the key for future ports. we may have the black android port by the weekend so ill keep everyone posted. just anyone reading this, please show interest, please donate to the themer. i done the leg work to get this so make it worth while

how did u flash it? im using streekmod recovery and when i tried installing one of these http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1009049 it didnt work. it flashed but when rebooted nothing had changed. im just wondering is it not possible to flash themes through streakmod recovery?
You can flash with streakmod, you will have better results with clockworkmod. I have seen many times where streakmod did nothing and clockwork always worked.

is there any reason why we should have one or the other, i mean clockworkmod will flash the themes but is there something streakmod does what clockworkmod dont? also i tried clockworkmod and it didnt work. nothing i pressed in menu worked and my button lights where flashing like hell
lol, for the life of me I cannot recall which on I have loaded. I think it is Streakmod.
I think clockwork will load most of the stuff from the kitchen with out issue. It will backup your device but you are not able to perform a restore.
Streakmod will backup and restore. I think it is a modified version of clockwork.

Finally someone working/pushing the Streak community towards custom themes. Can't wait to see where this goes.
couple questions though...
I am currently using the official Android 2.2 from AT&T.. I've been to scared to use any of the mods or anything whether with DJ Steve or not. (prolly cause I paid 300 for this phone lol)
What would I have to do to get themes on my streak once they start coming out?
Would I have to root it, to flash the theme on it?
I haven't flashed or done anything in a while.... I used to do it with my old phone, back when I used the HTC Fuze... Then I got a Blackberry Bold and left it stock and now am on the Streak so I haven't done anything like custom mods or anything in a long time and don't remember anything about..

Made this for myself and thought I would share. Support will be minimal due to time limitations. Unless there is a major problem.
This has been used with CM6.1 on both a Vibrant and Nexus One.
Not responsible if you don't know what you are doing.
Included apk's are:
- Browser.apk
- Contacts.apk
- Phone.apk
- Settings.apk
- mms.apk
- framework-res.apk
All of these are fully themed using the gingerbread files graphics files.
XML edits were also done to make the menus black with white text.
I didn't include the gmail app since it is from the market now. If you want to theme the notification icon, use a morph that is posted in the theme section. Or use ninja morph.

p.s. must change clock date and notification text colors to match in CyanogenMOD settings (UI tweaks)

Actually in the gingerbread sdk they are all grey. But the green does look better.

I just ripped open the framework-res.apk included in this theme and the green bar .png's are indeed there, so not sure what's causing them not to show up.
What weather widget is that? Can I find that somewhere around here?
ok so, there must be some major issues with the network in my area today. I normally get bars and today I haven't gotten any but my data is there, however, very spotty as well. Guess is they're fixing the network or something. The green bars should show up as they have on other 2.3 themes, as the .png's appear to be there in this theme as well. Thanks OP.

It's a beautiful theme. Parts of it are swappable like the dialer if you download the whole thing and use root explorer, i used bits of it at one time and had no problem. Just put phone into flight mode if swapping the phone.apk..the wallpapers are nice too and the clock too

Hmm so is it just flashable.zip problem?
Do you already have it running? Or did you just simply copy pasted the frame work and getting bootloop.
You have to manually edit the images. If you just copy the whole framework.apk it's not going to work.

Finished the port of Neon green gt for bionic 1.3...there are 3 icons(on the power off menu) that are red, the sliders and the clock are red..but other than that, it should be a port over of the original..still working on the clock and the icons..but here's the first release..hope to have the other icons/sliders/clock fixed shortly..flash like you normally would for any theme..takes about a minute or so to boot up(the first time) after the flash..REMEMBER THIS IS FOR BIONIC v1.3!! hasn't been tested on other roms..
pm me if you would like, it now..taking a break for the night..
And remember, you do this at your own risk, i'm not responsible for your phone..had to throw that out there..

here's an update: puzzle screen fixed, alarm screen is skinned correctly(oops forgot to skin it ),sliders are fixed..thinking about leaving the power off icons(reboot, recovery, and download icons only..the rest are fine) red..really only two other areas to fix..icon pressed background and clock..
I was wondering if anyone could make me a firefighter theme for my vibrant. I have one on my ipod that I love but cant find a good one for my phone. I cant figure out if there is anyway to get the theme off the ipod to use some of the images. If anyone know how please help. I do not know anything about theming but I will post it up on here so that people could make me a theme. Here are some pics I took. couldn't figure out how to do screenshots on the ipod.

If nobody will make you a theme (and all honestly, I doubt anyone will) you could always use this quick workaround.
1. Connect your iPhone to computer, use iFunBox to extract the PNGs from your theme
2. Transfer said PNGs to your Vibrant
3. Use ADWLauncher to set custom icons for your apps
4. Set fire as wallpaper
4. ???
5. Profit!
Keep in mind, this won't change the icon in the app tray, but they can't all be winners.

This is a theme for wildpuzzle rom which gives you a transparent status bar. I haven't tried the actual aerofire rom but I presume it'll give the same effect as flashing the theme over wildpuzzle.
There's also a theme called glassmod which will work on any sense rom (I think)which gives a transparent bar too.
These themes are only for sense based roms and won't work on cm7 etc.

I've been going crazy trying to find a thread or a link to the market (I mean Play Store...screw it, Im still calling it market) but I cannot find this theme anywhere. I was just searching for themes around the web a little while ago to see if there were some good ICS themes that werent in the market. I found this one that is really awesome, beautifully done and I even think it added the ICS transition effects. I cant remember where I downloaded it from. It could even be a theme thats in the market. I want to figure this out because if this is a theme still getting worked on, I want to know about updates. And if it is a paid app in the Market, I want to pay for it. So if anyone has any clue about what theme this is, I will be very grateful. Maybe some of you are using the same theme.
I dont have much to go on, but the theme is a transparent theme. Almost all of the backgrounds in stock apps and third party apps are semi transparent and shows the home screen wallpaper. The default battery icon is a circular icon. And I'm attaching a screenshot of what it shows in theme chooser.
Again, if anyone knows what theme this is, maybe you can link me to where I can find it. Thanks everyone.
That pic isn't the greatest...but I think that might be the ICS launcher. Its really isn't the greatest launcher choice but its the closest I've seen to the full ics layout. I know you were looking for a theme, but that may be better.

Thanks. But I'm talking about a CM7 THEME that you install through the Theme Chooser. Not a launcher. The screenshot is just to show what the theme chooser shows when applying it. I know its not much but if anyone needs more screenshots to determine the theme, let me know and what to take a screenshot of.

Heres a few more. The dialer, Settings menu, and a popup notification. The background in those screenshots is just my home screen wallpaper. its not part of the theme.
When you pull apart a cm7 theme apk and repackage it, it will show up blank in theme chooser. Sooo.... it could be anybodies. Check and see in Play to see if it matches other ics themes. It might be sonnys. (Yeah, I totally said Play instead of Market.)
Hmm havent found one that allows that level of transparency.
Ill keep looking.

I looked in /data/app/ and saw the apk labeled as "com.uotkitchen.theme.icsandwichtransp026build318-1.apk". This theme should be available somewhere. Too bad I cant find where I downloaded it from. Its a very nicely done theme. I cant stress that enough. And it DOES add ICS transistions.

I don't think his is transparent though, is it. None of the ICS themes I downloaded from the market were.
