As the title says really.
I ordered one last Friday, on the AYCE £40 contract.
Got the £109 through Quidco already tracking.
However I received an email today telling me that it has been delayed.
When I ordered it said on their site that it would be delivered Friday 13th. The site now says 20th for delivery.
Has anybody else had anymore info regarding when these will hit people's hands?
I paid a visit to 3 this evening in London. They do have them in stock in the store. But when I asked them online, they told me they would have stock on 13th May and deal with all the orders.
I also asked buymobilephones, at first they told me I can get the contract on 12 May but today they delayed it to the 18th.
As an update I rang 0844 481 2353.
I spoke with a nice, helpful lady called Katherine.
While she wouldn't guarantee that it will be out for delivery tomorrow, she did check the warehouse and said that it was pretty certain to be in my hands on 13th.
Maybe tomorrow will be a lucky Friday 13th.
I called out of curiosity on Wednesday the 11th, they had stock even though their site didn't mention the phone. I bought it on contract, 24m, 0 cost, 40 quids a month for their one tariff with *unlimited* data (nice!). Got the phone Thursday pm, activated and all. Very pleased.

Mine turned up today. All ready to be used. First thing I did was pop in my old o2 data sim card. It's unlocked. I didn't configure the internet settings.
Boot screen has a Three brand part. Also got a ton of crapware on the device. I can see why they didn't send it out earlier in the week.
Overall very happy with the beast. Definitely glad that I sold my iPhone 4.
Just got to wait for my old number to be ported.

I got mine yesterday, coming from hd2 and various android roms. Can't get over how cheap and light the phone feels. It runs well and the screen is very nice. Can't wait for lots of custom roms to try out - Samsung have ruined the android experience I enjoy. I do dislike the UI and can't figure out how to host USB mass storage. Wifi hot spot doesn't work. So frustrating having win cash apps and Sims 3... I can't remove them! Never rooted before as all roms on hd2 where allready rooted so time to do some homework. I also wish it came with some kind of case/ cover. HTC always provide them. Decent earphones though and a nice sound

Actually, USB hosting still doesn't work. Hmmm. Rather odd, I'm a computer engineer and usually don't get stuck. but this sgs2 has given me a headache.
Do you really have the "USB connected" option in your drag down notification simply from enabling debugging?

I use a Mac. Plugged it in and it tried to load Kies. Which I don't have.
Searched google for a bit, found someone talking about doing the USB debugging on their SGS1. Found the option and did it on the SGS2. It worked and still does.
Just to make sure I tried it again.
Rooted the phone at last and now things are working as they should. I can start enjoying the phone.

I can also confirm that rooting the phone using the technique shown on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056334 works perfectly. I flashed the Kernel back to KE1 post root and no problems.

I called to get a replacement ont the 13th. They said it would take a week to get it. I called on the 18th they said it was being proccesed. I called today the 21st they said they are on backorder and have no idea when they will be available. It bothers me that they never tried to inform me of this through email or a stupid texst. Is anyones eles's vibrant on backorder? This realy sucks not getting a eta.

good news and bad news...
bad news is, the T-Mobile just got slump by overwhelming phone sending back for 2 majority reasons:
#1 phone hardware/software issue for another refurb phone
#2 people took advantage of the phone upgrades for New phones out in T-Mobile like G2 on 3rd failure crisis
so that is why, many phone are on back order!! bummer...
I was told by some local cellular shops, there is one major pain in the butt issue.
all the phone they are getting from back order 80% have Hardware Lock issue.
Guess T-Mobile is enforcing the HWLock to prevent data wipe and stock Custom Rom.

Was the phone they just sent you hardware locked. I ordered a replacement phone last Friday, bc my usb port had a short. Then Tuesday they informed me it was backordered.

I call and talked to tech services [not customer service] and they said they will send me out a replacement, Sad thing is they are on backorder. I called on the 13th they said one week. I called again on the 21st That's when I found out its on backorder. I am going to call ever day till my phone gets here.
I called today 10-22 It started out with cs I told them I was very unhappy paying 500 bucks for a phone that I can't use nor be told when I would get one. I told them I was ready to switch carriers. They transferred me to a account specialist. I told her the same story she said they would pay for shipping and give me one month free data. I asked her why can I order one on line and get it but cant get a replacement for my new one? She put me on hold and came back and said she turned it over to another dept and I would get a update text from them on a new phone. I told her that every day I don't get my phone drives me closer to dropping them. I was nice to them but firm about my displeasure. Will update this thread when I get more info. Sorry about this RANT

My replacement is on backorder as well. I had a MyTouch before my vibrant and needed a replacement. I checked my order status several times a day (like I do now) hoping it would tell me it was shipped. The status was always backorderd and so I called them to see what the hold up was and they just told be it was on backorder and didn't know why. No less that 30 minutes later my phone arrived in the mail. I hope this is the same scenario and that my replacement arrives sooner than later.
The moral of the story, T-Mobile reps don't know **** about what or when the replacements ship.

I said I could order one on line, they said they were backorderd too. I went to their site and got all the way to the final check out. It seems like it would have gone threw. So I quit. 2 weeks later and they still can't tell me when I would get one? Maybe i will get a new one instead of a refurb one. Yeah, I got one to about an hour ago. Btw, on T-mo's website it still says that my order hasn't shipped yet and that it's still on backorder. Their order status portal is far from accurately up to date.

I would call tmo if I were you. at ups.com I got this Your package is in the UPS system and has a rescheduled delivery date of 10/29/2010. and in transit I sure hope it's not hardware locked

I'm not bothering with a T-Mo rep. The tracking # they sent in a text shows the package shipped yesterday with a delivery date of the 28th. And it probably will be hardware locked... Damn...

I did. I plan on making a BIG deal of the issue if it doesn't arrive by next week because I cancelled an Amazon order from the 26th for it. But the salesman told me they we in the system and NOT a website error. They also told me that the remaining backorders had been pulled from the inventory.
EDIT: I looked on the other thread, and noticed that most people hadn't been charged. My Google Checkout account has been charged as of this afternoon so I hope that's good news.

My google checkout was also processed but I saw this thread and when I called them (and also did a Web/live chat) they said they had none in stock and hopefully will be getting more next week.
I sent her the link on this site (that even when speaking to her showed available) but she showed me a link,on the site that conflicted with mine.
Either way, if I hear nothing tomorrow morning I will call them to cancel.

Well it seems there is a disconnect within their ERP/Inventory system. After being told by 2 customer care agents that there were absolutely no tablets in stock, my card was charged and I am told now (when I gave my Abe's order number) that it will be delivered tomorrow morning.
Now, if after all this they do not send me my shipping number (this afternoon) as promised or deliver tomorrow - I WILL BE VERY PISSED (yes, this is me dramatically using all caps!)
I'll call and push the issue then. I noticed that they are still listed as in stock too. If there was an inventory system issue, dont you think that they would have fixed it?
They just told me that they recieved the shipment this morning, and my order will ship out no later than tommorrow! (Standard shipping speed)

All i can say is WOW!
I love this device and i have not had one problem.
As most people on this thread know i have been lurking about trying to make up my mind about getting this device.
I really want to tell people on the fence that the tfp is great (i have not tested GPS while driving,that is what my car or phone is for).
I just installed ICS and it is so smooth/fast and much cleaner than HC.
I will admit that the number of issues raised on this forum is indicative of serious (initial) QA/QC issues at Asus. I hope my experience means they have addressed this.

Hello everyone. I've seen some rebooting threads but nothing that I can find similar to mine. Before the 4.1.2 update all was well. After it started having problems with my rooted phone. After alot of messing around I finally found a stock update and installed it through the recovery. Everything worked fine for a while. A few days ago My phone just started rebooting. It would come on, stay on for a couple minutes then reboot again. So i did factory reset and some other junk and finally got it working again. So this morning I'm on my phone using it as normal, everything is fine. Sometime around noon it just went out of service. Nothing. I went through the mobile networks menu and about phone. There just was no service. Phone number, Signal, everything was "Unknown". I turned on wi-fi. It seemed to work, which was ok. maybe there were just problems and I had to wait em out. Not long after it just rebooted and went back into the reboot cycle from before. Been trying the things I'd done before with no luck. Talked to a Motorola live agent online and they couldn't figure it out. Talked to a verizon agent online, they didn't know anything about it, so they said they'll send a replacement phone Tuesday. Just wondering if there is something I can do to fix it til then or permanantly, or if anyone know's what's going on with it lately. Thanks ahead of time.

Maybe. IDK. The verizon lady said they'd only charge the $299 if the warehouse found any damage to the phone, which the phone is in more or less mint condition. First time getting a replacement. Regardless they shouldn't be allowed to charge for manufacture faultyness. I'm sure they dont see it that way but meh. w/e. Thanks for the heads up though.

sry for the delay. after some going through verizon, i got things taken care of.
a small bit of info someone told me that helped.
i went to an actual verizon store, not some subcontracted retailer and spoke to a manager per say. she couldnt help but my visit was on file now.
so i went online to verizons site and filled out a survey saying i was most unpleased with the help and results. a district manager in my region contacted me and dropped $200 off our bill leaving the $100 insurance cost.
every bad survey filled out on their site gets a call to the store u were unhappy with and corporate doesnt like it so they do their best to make the customer happy.
this info was from someone i did work for who works for verizon. was very helpful and hope it helps someone else.

Does it vary store by store? If you look at the Check Shipping and Availability option, some stores have:
"Pre-Order Now
Pick up 04/10/2015"
and most others just say "Unavailable"
It depends if the stores processed the check in. Some wont have it done until the morning. Once the sku is in the system it auto emails the pre order customers.
Since you work for BB, can you tell me what I should do if my phone has the scratched screen issue? Will they let me have another one right away?

I love how everyone is trying to narrow it down to the minute I know we're all stoked, but come on now guys. Just give the store a call every now and then after they open to find out when it will be available. worst case scenario is you get it 2 hours after they have it available.

Cancelled and went to AT&T store. Complete waste of my time, chance at a free wireless charger did not make it worth it.

Lol. This is my exact experience. They didn't have my 64GB Edge on ATT so I got my $50 back and walked to ATT. Not only did they have the Edge, they had it in 64 and white. My exact preorder. Super happy. No scratches !!!!

the best buy manager called me in the morning saying they got their shipment late but would arrive 1-3pm. He called again later when the shipment arrived and I made an appointment.
It took a while to actually get the phone once I was in the store because of some computer glitches, but I have mine! and I am happy.
