Using a SGS3 (Europe) and i am not able to write in chinese ( cannot choose the keyboard )
I am able to speak chinese and its recognized correctly, but when trying to send it i receive the Error:
This Message might be corrupted when send and may be not correctly shown on the device of the Recipient.
No Root!
Also tried with MultiLing app--> same error
Sending via WhatsApp is working fine
IOS5 Device is working fine with this.
What can i do ?
It would be also ok if i can change the whole system to chinese language.

You can configure Samsung keyboard to support Chinese input, alternatively, you can try to install new Chinese keyboards, no rooting required: https://play.google.com/store/search?q=chinese+keyboard&c=apps

Tried it already with multiling, but the problem is when i want to send the message i get the Info That the message might be corrupted if sent..
Seems to be a problem with the System which is not able to send Chinese Type..
Will try it , but it seems to be an Issue within the system not the frontend

Just like it says, put the mode on automatic.
in "Messaging" Press Menu -> Settings -> Input mode -> Automatic ... Then you can send characters through SMS
*Standard = GSM Alphabet, Chinese characters = Unicode, The best you can do = Automatic

but i got a idea to fix the problem with the ussd codes in gsm networks.
so far i achieved see USSD codes via Log.
so i use this line in adb shell or terminal emulator
logcat -b radio -s RIL-MX | grep "Read Ch0"

if you run a ussd code, you can view the response of the ussd code.
so i try to make a app we can dialing a ussd code and filter that log to show only the ussd response.

According to my findings photon is able to send USSD Codes (able to use recharge coupons which use ussd code) But unable to read the response from network. It may related to phone apk , dialer apk or framework apk.

According to the Motorola forums, they crippled photon ussd codes due to the basis this was targeted as a cdma phone and use of gsm through sprints higher cost roaming. Now if you could compare the GSMmmicode smali in atrix 2.3.4 framework.jar with the photon 2.3.4 framework.jar file. You might find the right switch. Or just replace with the atrix gsmmmicode smali file. The Motorola forums said that the ussd code was fixed better in 2.3.6 atrix code.
I'm not working on it, but just pointing out where to fix it.

i've encountered a problem with the stock mail app of my note 2 and my mail provider "web.de".
When choosing tls and port 587, the phone tells me "server doesnt support tls". if i go with ssl, the phone responds with the message "couldnt establish secure connection" (rough translation of the german error message, but should be enough to understand my problem)
i already found the problem: its the way the app requests the tls/ssl information from the mail server and the server's response. (request with " "(space) and "-"(minus)) . so i want to change the request code in the app itself, but i have no idea if i actually can export the apk to my pc, decompile and edit it somehow, afterwards compile it and import it into my mobile device. is this even possible what im planning to do here? im running @Stock rom with root

I tried using the dialer code ##3282# to edit RTSP and HTTP to get faster Data. The dialer code gives me access with my MSL and also gives me access to the menu to pick the RTSP and HTTP but when I try to edit them I get a pop-up that says ".com.android has stopped working please restart your device". Is this a problem with my specific device or is this common and IS THERE A FIX ? Or at least another way to edit the settings?
