[Q] does trip's Miui 1.0.63 include JIT v2????? - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi guys wondering did trip include jit to his rom 1.0.63. Just wondering because i got very low benchmarking results when i ran the app QUADRANT
By the way I just installed the custom kernal straight after i flashed my baseband to .52 so it might be the problem to the low benchmarking results. I dont know??
Apart from that the custom kernal is soo awesome, it feels fast like the iphone and i highly recommend it to those who hasnt tried it and dont want to risk it but ive had no problems with it, the signal works, wifi EVERYTHING.
Anyway please reply if I'm wrong with the Jit and if it is already included, then maybe its just something im doing to make such low benchmarking results.

What are your benchmark scores?

Sorry my mistake, the low benchmark results were only on the first go. I tried couple more times and yeah its all good. So I guess the threads closed now.
p.s if you really want to know the first benchmark results they were just above 1000 which with the custom kernal i expected around 1350 which i got on the second and third go.
Cannot believe the speed of the custom kernal. Its like magic

That rom is froyo isnt it ? Al froyo/gingerbread roms have JIT included.

[Q] Fastest Vibrant Kernel/ROM?

Hey guys. I was wondering what kernel and or ROM is the fastest availible at the moment.
I've been following the Android Developement pages here for a while, and I consider myself somewhat proficient at flashing firmware, etc.
I'm running CM7 on my Vibrant right now, and I was wanting to flash a different ROM. I considered going back to stock, but I wanted to get input on what is the fastest availible right now.
Also: what lagfixes and overclocking tools do you use? I am trying to make my Vibrant as fast as possible.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Malice is the fastest. Bullet kernel is the only one which can do 1.4Ghz so i am assuming its the fastest.
Agreed! kernel/ROM (imho) Bullet1.42Ghz/Malice2.3.1.
Another good kernel i like is Tigersbloodv3
Both those kernels OC well if ur phone can handle it.
If your phone doesn't play well with OC my personal favorite is CwK
Also, download Spare Parts from the market and set both animations to "fast"... this makes the ROMs appear much faster.
The real test is going back and forth between apps and the load time.
"fast" is kind of a floating point. As someone already mentioned, fast can sometimes be as easy as speeding up the animations.
I've had great luck with the SimplyGalaxy roms due to their ability to remain fast months after flashing.
Cool! Thanks for all the input, guys!
What about overclocking and lagfix utilities?
I heard there is an app or tool that you can overclock, but set to underclock when the phone is not in use...
Also, I was using one click lag fix on stock, is there anything like that I need for these ROMs, or does it come built in?
For over/under clocking, try setcpu from the market.
OCLF is nowhere near as good as Voodoo. Most ROMs that are available in the dev section come with a voodoo injected kernel.
Try vibrace overclocked. I guerentee you will love it!

Malice or Bi Winning W/ Bullet Kernel.
Then spare parts to adjust animation speeds. <3
I personally found MIUI to be the snappiest at 1.3 ghz.
I've been running custom ROMs on my vibrant since the day it became possible, and every time I install something other than one of Eugene's ROMs I come to regret it.
CM7 with a custom OC/UV kernel gets a 2100 Quadrant that translates to a really snappy UI and 3D faster than any 2.2 ROM.

I reach quadrant scores in the 2700's on 2.2.1 roms....but what does that really matter.

Where can I get the bullet kernel, and how do I know if it is compatible with my ROM (Bi-Winning V2)?
Thanks poxxy!

[Q] Good kernels

What is the best kernel that I can use on the generic 2.1 firmware that has WiFi and gps working?
They have not fully developed any "good" kernals yet, just alphas. It's a work in progress and do not think any are compatible with the generic 2.1
For now with your needs stock is best option. Lots more work to be done yet ;-)

Ok just wanting to make sure because the lag gets kinda annoying.
Il be honest from my experience iv had using custom kernals, yes they do help with speed and help the phone feel less laggy but youl get much more out of flashing a custom rom with all features working, say a froyo one like zdzihu 2.2 beta 4 or wolfbreak or even miui. Custom kernals are still very much a work in progress. You could even try out some of the kernals avaible on froyo, i dont think any have been made for 2.1 yet and you may find the custom kernal may break the wifi or gps. Tbh id suggest just try changing your rom and if you need a hand flashing it or basebands iv put together a great guide in my signature

I agree with Gingerbread Man. Most if not all 2.2 ROMs have been thoroughly developed and have been really smooth. I was running the generic 2.1 for awhile and flashing 2.2 ROMs made my life so much easier because they are really smooth with little to no errors. Try flashing a 2.2 ROM. It will be worth your while =)

[Q] Silly Question

Hey Guys,
i wanted to know that what's the difference b/w the 2.3.x versions by mik_os and andy572..
And which one of them is better
mik is making a cm7 port for our devices while andy is trying to port gingerbread...

so that means that mik's version is a cm rom. where as andy's is a gingerbread rom?
performance wise which is better?
i have not tried andys but i have heard that it has some bugs and t wait for next version i love miks CM7 so i am a lil bias but the performance is great but if you are really looking for performance megatron rom is really good

i've tried Megatron.! but performance wasn't that good.
current im using CM7 by mik_os with franco's tweaks and patched libsqlite.so . gives a quadrant score around 1305..
im just curious to try new things
Im using this combination m8, you can try this, just make back-up for your current rom+tweaks.
Andy.rc2+franco.kernel.v14 performance is great and smooth, the best of all
is battery back-up only 2% overnight, im using smartass 729,480. 2G only.

hey man..!
i tried franco's kernel bt it doesnt allow me to overclock through the CM settings.! thatz why i switchd backk to the native kernel.!
and i gt a lot of battery loss over night around 10~15%..~

as of today

what rom are you guys using?
i just rooted my vibrant and want to know what rom right now is working good..with the least amount of issues and bugs
most importantly where i dont get missed calls or txts
im guessing cm7 isnt fully working
From what I can tell the most stable ROMs are still 2.2 since CM7 and other Gingerbread roms still have issues with GPS and battery power. The two best established ROMs I've found are:
Project V from 6/11/2011
Team Whiskey's Bionix-v 1.3.1
fwiw out there, I wish there was a "stable, widely used and fully functioning" section in one of the FAQs. I know a number of the regulars on here are comfortable flashing, but I would guess a majority of the readers/lurkers just want one stable ROM to use for the rest of their phone's life.
Good luck!
hahaha yeah thats me...im always trading phones..traded my sidekick 4g for vibrant plus 75 bucks
would you post the most current link to the roms please if you dont mind
i really wished cm7 was stable =/
I'm using phiremod. Stable and I can put netflix on without further mod. However, I can't overclock. I really wish I could do that. I'm sure there is a way, I just don't know how to install the kernel necessary with CWM. I'm still a big noob.

my vote is for toxic 8. with immortality kernal or bali which comes with it. Plus there is lots of themes available for it. I tried most of the GB roms and they all have great features, but I want everything to work as it should.
Bi-Winning V3 with Bali 1.8.8UV
In light/moderate use, I'm currently on 33% and its been 1d 8h..

there is a section in the development and it has the vibrant bible open that up and look at the kernels section for 2.3 u will see bali glitch neo and so on i suggest neo for best battery life and smoothness i always overclock to 1.44mhz with setcpu and i dont UV
So I'm guessing that all these roms are to SD just how com would right

Speeding up Optimus One, please help

Hello everyone, I currently have CM7 on my LG Optimus one which has been overclocked to 787mhz, the max available in the kernel that comes with CM7. I get about 800-900 points in quadrant and I would like to know how to make my phone faster. I see some get 1200 or more in quadrant and would like to know what rom's,kernel's, and tweaks they used.
Any help would be great. Thanks

Use Quanrant v1.x
Oh are the scores different in 2.0? Also what kernel will let me overclock further and still work with CM7 nightlies for my optimus one?
EDIT: Ran quadrant 1.8 and got a score of 1288, not bad. Can I improve this further though?

ummm I'm not an expert on this but running old version simply increases your score because it's just an older version. In other words your performance is still the same.
Look at 3Dmark 06 vs 3Dmark 11...
Maybe a faster memory card...
Maybe with none apps installed... (ha)
But at the end of the day, it's just a benchmark. (as eeee616 said, use the old version 1.x)
More quadrant scores won't make your phone faster. Don't be concerned about it.
quadrant scores are juz for benchmarking....u need to think about speeding up only if u hav a laggy phone..miks port is pretty fast..so is oxygen rom for new baseband...try a class 4 or higher memory card....
