That was great!!!
It is less technical than removing the blinking yelow led light.
...but.... it is not called disable shutter sound.....with my xda2... it is called disable application event sound....
Thank you very much. More power.

[Q] abnormal sound with camera after GB!!

Hi everybody
After complete the ota update, I observed that when take a pic there is abnormal sound not like on the 1.83v.
Is there any idea about this issue?
Thank you
Not sure about the abnormal sound you hear.
All I got was the normal shutter sound. If you don't like it, you can go to the camera, then hit menu, and go to settings and uncheck Shutter tone.
Thank you Zero
Now even check or uncheck there is no sound
I don't no why???
It happens after GB update
I can't remember if it relys on your sound too? Did you try with your volume up or down to see if that made a difference?
Maybe try with ringer, media and alarm volume?
Just throwing ideas out there for ya
I am experiencing the same problem. After the GB upgrade the shutter sound changed. Is there a way to CHANGE the sound rather then disabling it? I am rooted.
**Bump**
Same here. I had sounds at one time, turned them off, and now can't get them back. Of course I've re-enabled the sounds, rebooted, battery removed etc. Shutter sound is gone :-(

turn off screenshot sound

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 rooted.
How can you remove (permanently and with active mode sounds)
the sound of a screenshot?
I know that the sound can be removed silencing the phone,
but I want the screenshot sound does not feel even when the sounds are active.
I tried "local_prop" and "camera_apk modded" methods
but the screenshot sound is always present.
Help me please.
In the sound settings, turn the system volume all the way down & leave it there. I leave my system volume muted and never hear the screenshot sound or camera shutter when taking pictures.

I know this method. But I want turn off screenshot sound with all sounds on.
Is possible rename the sound file of the screenshot? Where is it and which is the name? (...so I can rename it with root explorer)

Need help eliminating camera sound.

So my GS2 sort of INISISTS on making noise when I use the camera. I have no option for disabling it in the menu... and it still has a sound when I'm in silent mode.
So I went into the system files and renamed every file that seemed related to the camera. That stopped the shutter noise... but there's still this beep before the shutter, and I've already renamed all the files, and I can't stop the beep.
Any help would be appreciated.

Question Shutter noise gone

The shutter sound suddenly disappeared, so I have no feedback whether it worked or not, short of going to the gallery and checking.
Since it's a new phone I've been tinkering with it a lot and must have pushed the wrong button somewhere along the line.
Do not disturb is off. Setting "Camera Sounds" is on.
Any ideas?
Thanks
