A great app to deny permission to those suspicious permissions that some apps need.
It's a very useful app!
I'd recommend y'all to check it out!
A dope app by a dope dev.

This app is NOT for getting Shell Root or ADB root.
It's for restricting permission for apps.

seems like a great app but doesn't appear to work on the Bionic

I just started using Super Manager (from the market), and it gives the same capabilities for root access file management as Root Explorer.... for FREE. I figured that this information (even though it can be discovered searching the market) might be useful for someone. I have been using it for a day now, and it works great.
Below are other free root access apps as shared by the community in this thread:

Thank you in advance...

if you are on ogo2 new sense rom you can try download the old market and installing it hoping it doesnt gives an error
if you updated the market by yourself, go to settings > applications > manage > all > search for market click if and select uninstall updates
Where I can find old market app?

No problem man, glad i could help
btw in the old market app, i have a lill bug that i can't see reviews (comments) do you have it to?
I can see it without problem. And, yes, you helped me a lot. New market is too slow for me. And there is no "just in" category...
hi all, this is my first post ever in xda after a few months of silently read and do...
bricked the ace on the first month...because i was trying to be a smartass when few options to root and modding where availiable... anyways.
im no dev, and have no knowledge of programing whatsoever besides what i learn in the internet, most of it here, thank you all for that.
my question is (maybe very simple):
i know i can, in a rom like jusadas ice cream, that is, has he says, "barebone" use root explorer to put apk's in the system»app folder, but my question is, will these apk's be reconized as part of the rom (wont uninstal in the "normal way" like the factory apk's)? and if so, what kind of permissons do i need to change (if i really need to do anything)
thanks in advance and sorry if this problem has already been asked but i searched a little (i really did) but this is a bad day and i havent had the patience to search like i've been doing for the past months (reason for this be my first post)
thank u all continue the good work, many like me thank you guys
For other apps to work like a system app:
-Change permission to rw-r--r--
-Change single and group ownership to root

Back then CodeROM.NexusAce had Root Explorer built in as system app, and hasn't lost root too. Maybe it's only ES that's affected.

Perhaps so
Maybe it's the action. I use titanium backup to move.
it looks like my question brought to light a sinister and unkown phenomenon wich might leed us to assume that every ACE is a singular unit with a mind of is own
i knew there was a reason for me to love it
trying later when i flash the other rom...i'll tell ya how it went...
thanks u all again
I recently got App Ops and Shizuku Manager to help with my battery and device in general
Link ~ https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/tips-battery-life-multitasking-t3712660
I was wondering if anyone knows of any other apps besides App Ops that Shizuku Manager can give root permissions to ( I know technically it's a framework work-around, not really root permissions)

Is this the true list of permissions for firefox 's latest version in your guys playstore? I just need to confirm before downloaded. Just needed to check with my old friends as I come back to android. Thanks boys! And girl !
Yes, that is correct. That is the permissions it may request. You still need to grant them. It does not give the app those privileges automatically when you download the app, if that is what you're wondering.

I am very glad you mentioned that. I did not know I had to individually grant them as the requests pop up. Thank you very much! You have been a huge help
