I don't know if this is application related or a FW stuff up. I'm currently running 024 X10i and for some reason it stops all sound, anything using sound freezes and requires me to reboot my phone.
It only ever happens during the following:
Turning phone to silent then back again with either radio (3G or Wifi)
Receiving or sending an MMS with Wifi on.
I'm always running an application called 'IRC Radio'. Maybe this is causing the issue?

Ok, so is anyone else having any of these problems:
- When using camera, screen turns off and on when it tries to focus.
- Receiving SMS issues until reboot.
- Issues going from 4G to 3G, or 3G to or from WiFi, or 4G to WiFi.
- Screen responsiveness issues.
- Random rebooting.
- GPS issues.
Most problems are resolved after a reboot but then come back progressively as I use the phone. I'm rebooting 3-4 times per day. I thought this was Android, not BlackBerry...
I'm not rooted and have already factory reset like 2 or 3 times. My Dinc didn't even have this many problems. :/

Also, when listening to music for a certain amount of time, it just stops and then phone becomes unresponsive till reboot. Not sure if that is a PowerAMP issue or not.

Try flashing an update.zip rom of your device using recovery mode. Might need root. Depends on devices though. Mg N1 works without rooting.

Where would I be able to get that? And how do I boot into recovery? My Incredible was rooted and before the last update, it was power and volume down. Then after the update, it changed to power and volume up.
Also, I did reboot my phone and my camera still doesn't work. I'm going to try to clear the data from the application manager
UPDATE: Clearing data from camera didn't have an effect

I guess you should Google for the steps to go into recovery for Incredible... not familiar with it.
For the rom go search your build number on XDA. You can use custom ones too I guess.
But sometimes it goes 'signature verification failed. Action aborted'. Ask senior members for that. I cannot solve it.

What kind of screen responsiveness issues are you having? Mine seems to "slow" down a lot after a day and a half of uptime, a reboot fixes it but it's annoying to have to reboot that often just because the touch input slows down so much I can't use the phone.
When I try to make phone calls (even to voicemail), my screen goes black except for the status bar, my phone vibrates a bit, and then I get a message that says "Sorry! Process com.android.phone is not responding." With an option to either force close or wait. I tried a factory reset, yet the problem remains. Any suggestions?

What ROM you running? Modem? Kernel? Or is this a stock phone (If so what version of software)?

"Tried a factory reset" how did you do that? Sounds like your on a stock rom?

Sounds like you need to start fresh and odin a stock rom w/ pit file.

Weird, I had this problem, but mine was specific to one contact. ALL other contacts numbers I dialed, either useing 7 or 10 digits, in either stock or Go Dialer, would work just fine.
When I would try to call my work, it would crash. It was only my work number and it sucked. Cause I'm in school, and deliver pizza on weekends, and when you can't call the store it sucked at times.
It was stock froyo, voodoo stock kernel. Reset fixed it.

Thank you for your responses so far. To be honest though, I don't really have any idea how to do any of that. My phone is not rooted, although now I am strongly considering it. However, there seems to be an overload of information on how to go about doing it and different methods that don't seem to always work. Also, I don't know how to find the "stock" ROM. Do you guys have any links that you would recommend as being helpful? Sorry for being such a newb.
Read these three links they will give you good info and all the links for the stuff you need..

Alright I used the steps listed in the top link that you gave me to odin the stock rom and pit file, but it did not solve the problem. An example of my problem is when I try to call my voicemail, I'll sometimes hear the automated response voice asking for my pin#, but the dial pad doesn't show up as normal for me to type it in. And the screen freezes up for a minute or so until the call ends.
Another possibly related problem is that when I push the power button to turn on the screen, it doesn't turn on for about 5 seconds, whereas it normally turned on right away. This all started after I put some music (about 30 songs) onto the SD card and deleted a few files that I thought weren't important (but maybe they were?).
Which stock rom did you use to start fresh with the pit file and what rom are you on now?...just want to make sure you did everything correctly because a pit file and stock flash should eliminate any of you force close issues...unless when you went back to whatever rom you're on now you and
Might have missed a step...what rom did you use to flash along with the pit file? And what is the rom you want to be on when all is said and done?

I used the ED05 FROYO rom, and I assume that's the one I'm still on. I did everything as listed up until the in step five because I don't have a recovery to odin. If I was supposed to keep going after that point, then I'll try it again, but it seemed like I could probably stop as long as I didn't mind having the stock rom. I'm alright with the stock rom for now as long as my calling starts working again.
If you want to stay stock then you did what you were supposed to, that's why your messaging is back and running..if you do ever want to switch rom. Follow those same instructions but complete step 5 and use the recovery that is suggested for the rom you want to flash. Odin that recovery and boot immediately into recovery with the three finger method and follow the roms instructions to flash your new rom.

The problem is not resolved. I first used the stock rom, and then I tried the powerwashed rom. My two problems still remain:
1. Screen still takes about 5 seconds to light up when I hit the power button (when phone is on)
2. I dial voicemail, but as soon as I do, the screen goes blank and I don't hear the response until about 10 seconds later when the voice says "please try again later" and it hangs up. Sometimes the screen doesn't go blank, but it freezes up and I am unable to dial my pin #. This situation also occurs when I call other numbers, although if they stay on the line long enough, eventually it will work. Sometimes it causes a force close, but not always.
So since I've tried starting over with the stock rom, and that hasn't solved the problem, is it possible that this isn't a software issue?
If you've Odined back to stock ED05 and it hasn't been resolved you can probably get Verizon to send you a CPO replacement (assuming you still have warranty left).

Okay I have one last resort to try and I don't know if it would make a difference but it works for me if I ever have an issue I can't figure it out.
Open Odin, remove your battery and put your phone in download mode.
click the pit button and select the atlas 2.2 pit file.
Click the pda button and select the EB01 VZW file.
Make sure the repartition box is checked and click start.
When Odin is done , insert your battery and reboot your phone and you'll be on eb01 modem and all...run that for a day and see if you have the problems with your voicemail, and your screen. if you don't we'll go from there on getting you off of stock if you desire...links to follow in a minute...but I think this will fix your issues
VZW eb01...

Place both of these files on your PC in your Odin folder and follow the directions I wrote and see how its goes

Just be sure if you do try this with EB01 and it doesn't fix it and you do try to get a replacement from VZ to reodin it back to ED05 before returning it.

Unfortunately that doesn't seem to have solved the problem. So I guess the next option is to bring it in to try and get a replacement?
Thanks for your help.

Yup, just Odin back to stock ED05 so they won't know you rooted. If they ask why it is wiped tell them you did it as a troubleshooting step (which is true).

Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone can help me with this issue:
I am stuck in 'Contacting Network...' and can't get out of it.
Here is what I've tried so far:
* I've tried all the basic steps of clearing cache
* Tried reinstalling the ROM
* Tried Flashing via RSD - Both sun-198_7 and the sun-154_5.
* Tried hard reset
* Tried removing the SprintOMADMConnMOPlugin.apk, which skips activation but doesn't allow me to activate the phone. Is SprintOMADMConnMoPlugin.odex a hidden file?
I am currently able to use my Photon as an unactivated device because I took the SprintOMADMConnMOPlugin.apk out of the zip file. It was the only way I could get past the 'Contacting Network..." issue but this doesn't solve problem.
I had the same issue with my first photon and went through EVERY single thing i could possibly find, and also posted on here asking and wasn't able to get it fixed. I finally gave up and dropped $35 and got a replacement from Sprint.. On Photon number 2 now with no issues. Best of luck fixing it! Keep us posted if you get it fixed.
Ok, I managed to get it working again...
Here is what I did:
1. When stuck in "Contacting Network..." I plugged in my USB and connected to my PC then logged into my Motorola Phone Portal
2. Once in, I hit held down the power button on the phone and Airplane Mode finally showed up. (It didn't show up prior)
3. Put it into Airplane Mode & reboot
4. On reboot it will bring you to the activation screen and it will say in short, in have to get out of airplane mode to activate
5. Decline and stay in airplane mode
6. Go into your apps and select sprint zone
7. Activate your phone from the sprint zone. It was ask you about airplane mode and this time you can click OK to activate which will bring you out of airplane mode and activate your phone.
Hope this else anyone else with this issue!!!
Yea, still don't have the airplane mode option here...
This worked for me. Thanks
Hey please help. My phone has also stuck on that. Don't have an Airplane mode setting on power down.
Boot Android into Android no bp. Then you will have the option, you do this by holding power down and volume down at same time and cycling through the list until you find it and then press volume up and it will boot. Then put in airplane mode and reboot normally

Is anyone using juice defender and having problems with the new update? It keeps turning off WiFi,when it's supposed to be on.My battery life is better by the way .If anyone knows of some good settings let me know.

I get that issue too. I have to restart my phone to fix it. Sometimes it does that with my mobile data network. I wasn't sure if it was from JuiceDefender, the Faux kernel or the ARHD ROM I have on the phone.
I want to root my phone but I'm a bit scared.Do you have a lot if problems with it now? Also try just stopping JD and putting data or WiFi manually and turn airplane mode for a few seconds it comes back.I might do reinstall to see if it fixes this.

I use Juice Defender and it's not giving me the problems you have. It's supposed to wake up all radios and connections once you reach for the phone and try to use it - immediately. I use JD plus, though...
Is your bootloader unlocked? Not for the faint of heart, but officially doable via htc.com site. Prepare yourself for some work, installing, downloading files, copy and paste stuff.
If you're already unlocked, to root just download superuser.zip from the post #77 on this thread here:
