Is their a custom recovery for the lg Phoenix or any custom Roms at all?

Bump, because I just bought this phone also and need CWM
You could search a little bit better. This is the Optimus One for AT&T.

Bump - yes it is a variant of the Optimus One, but it would seem that recovery and ROMs are *not* directly compatible with the P500 or P509.
I may be kicking the dead horse here but has there been any update on a custom ROM my phone is screaming for gingerbread.

I just picked up an Optimus S to check out what all the fuss was about. This phone hauls balls! I oc'd it to 806 and installed thunderom 1.4 and it runs great.
I'm coming from a Hero which has tons of development etc...We should have a place for the Optimus S/T as it has been selling very well especially at only $50. Only development going on is over at Android Central...
Optimus S
I agree I would like to see an Optimus S subthread
Optimus S is subset Optimus One
S = Sprint
T = T mobile

Does that mean all the roms on here will work with the Optimus S? I know the Kernels are device specific.

+1 - My wife just got one
I was also curious about that.. I tried flashing the Megatron rom but was unresponsive to it so I just flashed the Thunder rom v1.5 instead.. Is each rom specific as well?
Megatron resulted with stuck at LG bootlogo, I suppose minor modifications to current ROMS for Optimus One are needed in order to flash them on our S.
+1 for the subforum, would love to have megatron/void!

S & T are not the same device...
I'm saddened and surprised by the lack of support for this on XDA...
+ for sub thread
Just flashed Prime, no go

there would have to be sub-forums for the s, t, vortex, m, and any other optimus one that comes out. i think just leaving it as we have it now will be best.

Can we get the moderator(s) to put a sticky in about this, as well as a guide for marking posts so we know looking at the post title which Optimus it is for?
Like:
[ROM][OPTIMUS-S]
[GUIDE][OPTIMUS-T]
etc.

Agreed - just came from a Hero myself... it's like night and day... and I would really like to NOT leave XDA and support whatever development I could here and get void/other ROMs working on the S.
So, I've been trying to find a concrete answer, but I can't seem to. By now, I'm almost positive that the Vortex is a variation of the Optimus One, but what i want to know is, how modified is it? Are all Optimus One specified apps, programs, ect compatible with the Vortex? Will Optimus One ROMs work? I just wanna be sure before I start any hardcore modding.
anyone? not a hard question......
Yes it is a optimus variant but most likely the roms for the p500 wont work.

Is it possible to port a rom for Optimus one to an Optimus V? If so what would have to be changed, I realize the kernel most likely will, but what else?
Theoretically, no.
People port ROMs from one phone to another all the time, so yes, you can. The Optimus V is a Optimus One phone anyways. There are some differences, but its not like a GSII to Optimus V, which I think can not be done.

My guess is no. Optimus V uses different signals then the rest of the Optimus One line, if it didn't we would have an Optimus S without the bloatware.

I wanted yo do the porting on my own as a learning experience so I was mainly wondering what the differences in the phones are and what all I'd have to change as far as kernel anxious build props etc

Is this forum for Tmobile Optimus T ??
Doubt there is much differences in the phone but probobly enough I wouldn't recommend trying any of the roms, recoveries, etc on your T since this forum is for the One, P500 and V. There's not a Optimus T forum here but there is one here:
http://androidforums.com/lg-optimus-t/
and here:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/t-mobile-optimus-t/
As far as I know it's similar to p500.

Roms for P500 will work on our P509 (trust me I've already done this to my Optimus T). Just make sure when you flash a rom it is OLD BASEBAND SUPPORTED.
Identical chipset. The difference in radio module and, maybe, baseband software. P500 supports 900 MHz UMTS, T - 1700 MHz.

What happens when you update to the new baseband in the Optimus T?
I put the new baseband on my optimus t and everything works except 2g/3g I.guess it's some apn issue on cm7 nightly
It's all the same, Optimus T, S, V are all the same phone. Only difference, is some are CDMA and some are GSM. But the phone supports both so there isnt an issue.

Depends. For some it works 100%.
Some folks have a data/APN problem. For those of us with the problem here's the workaround using old baseband.

This might confuse some people.... So just to clarify
Optimus One and Optimus T are essentially the same phone.
Whatever ROM's & Kernels that work for Optimus One will work with Optimus T.
Optimus V & S CANNOT use Optimus One ROM's

does that mean optimus t will get CM9?
I have it on my DNA and its such a good ROM. Wonder why no one has ported it to the LGOG =\
HTC DNA
LG Optimus G
Why no do it yourself?
It's a little complicated at first sure, but not exactly hard to learn.
This post will actually walk you through Most of what you need to do for it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2223690
Or you can use this one here since it is GEE, you just need to flash a GEEb kernel after you're done flashing the ROM, and everything should work for you.
