What rom are you using? I've only noticed this issue on roms that do not use the Sense dialer/People system app.

Mine does this running Das BAMF 1.6.3
Luke
this is happening on every rom. currently using cm7
I've had my ringtone change after flashing bamf 1.6.3
Had a similar occurrence. Currently running CM7 and every time an email would come in a ringtone that I did not set (nor is it selected) starts to loop and the only way I can shut it off is by rebooting my phone.
Not sure wth happened to cause this.
Ringtone issues w/ Thunderbolt - Das BAMF 3.0 RC3
While using the stock settings on the phone, my wife had no issues assigning ringtones to specific callers. Now that I've switched her over to Das BAMF we cannot keep the ringtones locked to specific callers.
Does anyone know of either a fix for this, or a series of ROMs which do not have this issue? This would be a nice thing to fix for her since she also uses her phone for work.

is there any way to start the two way call recorder once the phone call has been initiated? i don't see any options to do such.
additionally, for some reason the option "delay for outgoing calls" is grayed out. might there be a reason for this?
thanks in advance
mark
My understanding is that you need to have the recorder active, and then all calls will just be recorded. I also have that option greyed out, I think it was active in 1.6 or maybe 1.6.1 for me, but I Don.t have it in 1.6.3. I did mess around with stuff in 1.6.2, but did not completely wipe before flashing 1.6.3 so it my be that I messed something up... It works though so I haven't worried about it too much. I have notices that recording only works in both directions with BAMF or control freak kernels. When I tried a leanKernel it only recorded in one direction but again that might have been a result of something I did when fooling about in 1.6.2.
When the call connects it starts recording. Not when it's ringing but when the person receiving the call answers it.
Mah BAMF Thunderbolt
I have not been able to get this working on BAMF 2.0 roms so I am considering going back to 1.6....Glad to hear it is still working on Froyo.
I'm running CM7 RC0.6 on my Thunderbolt with the 1.16.00.0223r baseband.
The problem i'm having is that my incoming texts have an inconsistent timestamp. I can be getting texts from somebody and have the time be correct, then every few texts the timestamp will be an hour ahead.
Thanks for any help you can give.
Weird.. thought this was only a sense GB related issue..
Download SMS Time Fix from the market, and make sure it is enabled.
You're fixed
The problem is that it isn't always an hour ahead. Sometimes the message is on time, then I'll be an hour ahead the next time.

On the BAMF Sense ROMs, I can use SMS Time Fix and then select "Use phone's time" as the manual override to the timestamp. It works every time for me.
when i was on my incredible i used sms timefix and it got so annoying i just wipedx3 and reflashed and i was okay again.
Hi

build Number
Cognition v1.5.1
Thanks all for all your help
Did you check the sound settings on your device? It may be set to silent. Go to Settings > Sound and check the Volume and Phone ringtone.

I love Steve's AOKP PUB Rom but I seem to have one really irritating issue upon using it. I set my ringtone and notification sounds to the ones i always use. Pyxis for Ringtone, and Don't Panic for notifications. Then i noticed that i was not hearing the sounds during incoming phone calls and texts. So i go into the sound setting to see whats up and they both have unrecognized sounds listed. When i try to re-establish the original setting all the choices are gone except for 2 or 3 instead of the usual several dozen. If i use Root Explorer to go into the media folder all the ogg files are still present. Sometimes they come back upon a reboot. Sometimes they dont. Anyone else seen this or know whats happening? Thanks.

Same here. I'm back of AOKPBRAVO at the moment because of the sound issues. One thing that helped me a bit was to disable vibrate with ring and have ring only but it still would lose the ringtone and on calls the screen would light up and i had missed calls because the ringtone wouldn't be recognized.
I have noticed this same issue and believe I have found a work around for the problem. First take off the Vibrate on incoming calls. Then in the root of your sdcard there is a ringtones folder. Make sure that the ringtone is in that folder. With some of these new roms, they will only play ringtones that are in that folder plus the default that the developer chooses. Go into contacts and set the ringtone for the contact. First I would do it as a test ringtone on a number you can call from. If you have the same ringtone for multiple people then you have to make a new copy of that file. It will only play it for the last contact you assign it too. That is how I cleared my troubles with it. Hope this works out for you.
A few days ago I flashed Revolt JB ROM and soon after that, people started telling me that I'm not answering phone calls. After messing around, I found out that I can receive and make a call, only the ringtone is silent. I thought there's no ringtone sound by default, but even after setting my preferred song for a ringtone, it's still silent. Message and other notifications are normal, only the ringtone is the issue. Could this be somehow fixed without reflashing the ROM?

Edit: sorry for the double pic, I dunno how that happened
