How to arrange icons on the OS, where i had installed apps the uninstalled them i have like 3-4 pages with like 5-6 icons to a page. With a different Launcher its auto sorts icons. Anything we can do to fix this i cant come across any other method than manually sorting them page after page.?!
Thanks, Xenon.

Do you mean on your home screens? Just long press on any icon, hold and drag into position.
Not sure if any launcher does auto-arranging on the home screen, does not seem to be possible with stock or ADW at least.
In the app drawer you're totally right. It irritated me to.
At the moment it seems the only way is to manually sort them [Menu>Edit]

Just installed Froyo 2.2 yesterday and so far i like it aside from a couple things i miss but its sooo much faster!
Anyways somehow made my bottom bar disappear and now i have no idea how to get into my application page. I'm talking about the bottom part with the Phone icon, Application Icon, and Browser Icon. I think i might have held it to long while i was messing around and it went down and now its gone. Been trying to bring it back for awhile now and cant find out how.
p.s. I tried to post a screen shot of my phone but it wont let me due to being a new user.
Froyo has the ability to hide the app drawer bar and notification bar by swiping up or down on the home screen go to your home screen and swipe down like you are browsing a website should pop back up.

awesome! thank you so much for the quick response!
Is there anyway to add icons to that? I noticed that if i hide that then i can put icons on the bottom but is there a way to add icons directly to that "drawer" as u called it
Of course. Just go to the app drawer and select an app. Keep hold of the app like you would to put it on the home screen and drop it down on the bottom bar. I believe you can scroll through the bar as well. I know for sure you can on Launcher Pro because that's what I use primarily.

What you have discovered is the new scrollable dock bar in ADW. It freaked me out the first time I opened it. By default, it is accessed by swiping up on your screen. This action is very buggy and only works seldomly.
How to change it - go to ADW Settings > System Preferences > Swipe Down Actions > Open/Close Dockbar. Now from your homescreen you can swipe down any where below your notification bar and access this scrolling dockbar. You can drag and drop unlimited apps in it. When you want your normal dockbar back just swipe down again on your screen.
Hope this helps.

So you know how when you long press on an app icon or widget a trash can appears at the bottom of the screen allowing you to remove things from your homescreens? Up until now I've just been flicking the items down there since it works but I just held something over Tue trash icon for like, 2 seconds and to my surprise some text popped up that said "drop to Uninstall " which is really really nice.
Has this always been there and is common knowledge and I'm just slow or is this relatively unknown?

Probably you are using another home launcher like Launcher Pro, ADW Launcher etc.... some of those do give you the option of drop / uninstall...

Could someone please download the app from the market, setup and let me know if you any text freezing while typing, scrolling issues while on the Internet or XDA App? It was messing with my phone but would like to know if others have issues too. (BTW... I really like the App)
Thanks

Wave Launcher is fully customizable. You can change the size, location and even thickness of the gesture-area. To change it, look for "Gesture-area presets" in the Settings screen.
The setting the works for most people and is my personal favorite is "Bottom Left - 20%". It will never interfere with the keyboard or scrolling this way.
Note that you can also have Wave Launcher automatically disable in Landscape mode which is often used for typing, games, etc.
The app is very powerful and highly customizable, please go through all the settings to make sure you make the most out of it.
Any reports guy's?

Used it and it interefered with a lot of things going on on the bottom of the phone such as opening the app drawer and typing. Just my experience others may vary.

As Mike said above.
I also tried it for a bit, and even changed the popup swipe location but it is just OK. I think bottom corner 20% was the one that worked best for me, but even then I would accidentally press the Home button. Sides are for screen sliding already, and top is for notifications, so there is not much free room to swipe around. Its a fine launcher, but I did not find it useful enough to keep.
I thought it would let me make a gesture to swipe it onto the screen, not follow my finger around everywhere, to where I cant even get rid of it without the awkward swipe back into the same corner of the screen.
What it should have is a setting on how far to follow you across the screen, so if I swipe up from bottom corner, it appears, then it follows me around but only until I get to say 50% of the screen height, then it goes away.
That way, if it appears accidentally, I dont have to swipe is back down, but simply continue the swipe up motion until it dissapears.
I tried it but didn't care for it. Holding the Home screen button essentially does the same thing. Aloso, If you're running stock then you've got your most recent apps in the notification drop down. Unless you are constantly switching between apps, it's pretty pointless.
I use mine for a quickdial and store a few contacts there. so far it hasn't interfered too much
Thanks for your feedback guys!

Is there a way to set up shortcuts to link to different home screens?
Say, for example, that I have music widgets on my last home screen. Rather than swiping through all the screens, or previewing them and choosing, is there a way to create a shortcut on my main home screen that I can press to have it jump directly to the screen with the music widgets?
Yes, download adw launcher, when installed, long press home screen, choose option to add 5 shortcuts to five screens.i know only these way.or maybee to modify some codes and transform the home screen dot indicators in button links.

Thanks!
Unfortunately, ADW doesn't allow me to do other things that are essential, so I guess I'll just have to forget about the luxury of linking to other screens. Unless you know how to get the dock horizontal in the latest version and get rid of that menu button in the top corner...

Thanks. (It's later now. Lol)
Over engineering. Pull down the notifications bar, pull down the Quickly bar, then select app. I can find it in my app drawer faster than that with just one click and no swipes But to each his own!
OAN: Did anybody check out Vire launcher they documented on xda homepage? It's pretty sweet, but I'm so used to LauncherPro+ that I can't switch to it.
I like it ok but I tend to stick with sense, holo and go.

I think the idea is its supposed to be a solution for accessing app's while in other apps, eg. multi-tasking without going back to the home screen first and then app drawer(which is a minimum of two clicks and possible a swipe or two).
With that said, I think that pie launcher, lmt or something, is a much better solution.

Ahhh kind of like a long home press, except you can specify the apps instead of using recent apps. I'm not that big of a multitasker but that's not a bad idea
