A slightly bizarre question here, but has anyone tried to cleanly remove the silver Samsung logo on the top of the front cover on the i9100?

It's under the glass so if they've replaced the front bezel.
Would love that as well

It would indeed clean it up just that last touch, but you propably need to replace the cover

I know it doesn't answer your question but I wouldn't ever do something like that. I paid a premium price for a premium product and I want the whole ******* world to know what brand of phone I have!
there's a logo on the back, isn't there?
i'd also love to know. it would make the phone look so much sleeker (the front, anyways)

Yeah, you are right! I might buy an Nexus S instead ;P
Best to check out ifixit. They have articles about how easy it is to repair or replace parts on various 'phone. The Nexus S and Galaxy i9000 are there. It'll only be a while afore the i9100 follows.
For example, here is the Nexus S:
http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Nexus-S-Teardown/4365/1
There is no reason to think that the teardown for the i9100 would not be as good. With this information, one could well remove the front window pane and see how easy it is to alter the Samsung logo.
Black insulating tape? :-D

Yep, thats the one you can't go wrong for under $10.
I had my eye on this leather case http://www.maker4u.com/zenus-galaxy-note-case-presige-vintage-g-note-diary.html
Covers the at&t logo when it's closed. Not sure if it's what you want it's too nice not to share.

I don't blame you. Some thoughts that came to mind were trying the old sugar cube trick (from old WinMo days). Believe the sugar cube is equivalent to a 1500 grit sandpaper?? Or get a pen tipped 1500 grit sanding tool???
However, since the white or dark shell of our Notes are plastic...sanding may not be the best option. Maybe trying something like Goo-Be-Gone on a VERY VERY SMALL part of the logo (maybe apply with cotton swab or tooth pick) to make sure it comes off and doesn't discolor the plastic?
EDIT: Sorry, I didn't read carefully that you wanted to hide the logo by a case or screen protector...
This aluminum case would do it too.

I don't have one, so can't comment on fit and finish but from the pictures it looks like it would hide the logo.

Just my two cents: I picked up two of these to under 10$ (hunt around, they're listed under dozens of different names) and I'm pleasantly surprised with the quality. They're certainly no Otterbox but at that price I expected much less.

Hello guys!
Recently i started to worry about my screen.
It isn't completly flat as it should be. Basicly gorilla glass sould be below the frame, where mine well ... isn't in few spots.
I had an idea to place a match or two on the edge of the screen and then place something heavy on top of that. Maybe glue on higher parts of the screen is preventing middle section to settle down.
I went over a bit, but it looks like on the picture below.
Sorry if my english isn't perfect
Cheers!
I don't know what you're talking about.
If it's new device, return it and ask for a new one.

How can you not understand ?
It's all on the pic in the attachment. Red lines shows how my gorilla glass/digitizer/whatever is bended.
This kind of issue can be removed on warranty?
I can't see sh*t due to those red lines, post a pic of the device without em.
It's a faulty device, warranty has got nothing to do with this. The store is obligated to give you a device that meets the SII design.

That is the device's manufacturing error.. Ask for a replacement., I don't think placing weight on top will help...

I'm afraid it will be story like this:

Yes actually they will replace the entire screen so it ain't a issue, I dont think they might f*uck up the device cause they must have had a lot of practice changing broken screens. Lol.

Oh my God I also had an N73 well before android, it was my first smartphone and I also have a repair experience my phone was missing 3 screws inside, sometimes these assholes are too overconfident they skip little but important things.

Try on amazon. My screen is completely shattered but it still works

one other option that you have go on ebay and look for something broken like the one below which is way cheaper than the items in the link above
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Broken-Sams...2902?pt=Other_MP3_Players&hash=item58a0d47f96
Thanks.
Anyone tried this? Seems like an interesting concept...to replace the back cover with a metal one. Wont do much by way of protection but would definitely suit those who want a high end feel without adding to the bulk...
http://www.amazon.in/Samsung-Galaxy...qid=1385310988&sr=8-13&keywords=galaxy+note+3
Main antenna resides on the bottom back, gps on the top back - NFC will be broken and reception will be slightly lower.
Nope.
retro...Note 2 copycat
same as note 2 faux brushed metal plastic battery cover.. No thanks..scratch easy, moving forward...
Same as the metal backs for any other Samsung phone, just looks cheap to me. The official samsung ones look good but most people don't have access to those.

The Samsungs ones aren't metal so that's probably not gonna help you at all. They're just colored and glossy-ish
