Hello, I worked in the past with The OG Droid, HTC Incredible, HTC Thunderbolt in a Team environment and solo. I began my work with Kernels and later moved on to work with JRummy and N8Dyddy in Lithuimmod. That was back in the day "ha". Altough the last kernel work I did publicly was with the HTC Thunderbolt I have continued to follow the world of Android very closely.
Today I am inviting all Kernel and Theme developers to post their work in my new app that will soon be released to the Market. The app will be a centralized location for just Themes and Kernels to be downloaded and brief info about the work. I know time is valuable, my intent is to cut down the time to find the latest and greatest, offering these hard working developers another channel for their work to shine, not taking away from this wonderful forum of course. I enjoy the forums and only truly enjoy them when I am home from work with a drink and can take in all the info.
I look forward to hearing from all .Thank you and it feels good to be back.
Developers please send me your info i.e
Device,Build info and any other relevant information.

Something i fail to understand is the reason why people feel so obligated to point out the fact that someone made a post in the wrong section, your *****ing shouldn't be in the development section...
Sounds like a great idea.
Are you looking for themes that work on any rom for a given phone or are you going to break it down by rom?

I am laughing my ass off! but hey this idea... it could help, but wait its posted in the wrong place!!!!!
This idea has major pros and cons. The cons are that it will in fact ttake away from development sites and it will also take away from devs being able to provide good support for their work... if everybody got a kernel or rom from a third party it would only do one thing - cause people who don't know what they are doing to A.) Not read about the stuff they are flashing to their phone, and B.) Pollute forums with useless threads about something not working properly.
It takes away from the dev distributing his work in a way that clearly states potential problems and instruction on how exactly to apply his work to their device for an optimal bug free experience. The only thing this does that is a positive is help a dev get his work out. But personally I think this site and the devs site will do a good enough job of that.

Basically what I am saying is people need to read and follow closely what is and has been going on with the software they are flashing to their phones. It is important because the could easily break something and cause irreversible damage to the phone.
Personally I think cobra makes some valid points but it's the forum moderators job to move threads.

Yes, I asked about that on their Facebook Page, I tried some direct links but they show as invalid.

If I am breaking the forum rules by posting this, I am sorry, and if it gets me banned, so be it. But I think that Stock with Goodies users deserve an explanation from the MODs as to why the thread has been closed and what were the results of the findings. Its sad when a forum dedicated mostly to the "open sourceness" of Android becomes so closed source as to black out the discovery process in a truth finding expedition and to censor without jurisprudence.

It was not directed at you but to the mods. It seems they want everyone else to follow the rules except for themselves because they should have gone over the evidence first before locking any threads.

its a long write up. i just dont have alot of free time
i work and i go to school full time man
plus alot of devs dont share their stuff. look at those viper rom guys

Just asking. I'm "out of the loop" as far as the details of the drama because I've been running primarily cm10. I assumed it was due in part to you not wanting to share how you did it. Thanks for clearing that up.
The mods have the files in question and can compare the with the files that were allegedly plagiarized (sorry I don't use slang). Hopefully a thorough investigation is done to determine if anything was copied and findings get posted. That is the least that we can hope for and deserve as members of the XDA Developers Forum. If no copying was done, then Stock with Goodies thread should be reopened :good:
If there was no communication with flex or a chance to refute the accusation b4 his thread (which is one of the most popular roms here, even b4 all this) was closed that's a little crazy..I know some of the mods are new here but I'm sure some if the senior mods are involved as well..I guess we shall see how it pans out..sucks tho if the multitasking was fixed ...bc that's the one thing I was waiting for and we could all benefit from it..and btw I've used v6 supercharger and it did not alleviate my mt issues . That dev rubbed me the wrong way...we don't know what really happened but still gives him no right to behave in that manner ....talking about are you gonna give me your donations..is.that what this boils down to? I hope it gets worked out .

It's common to lock a thread during an investigation, so yes thread was locked. PM doesn't have to be sent before hand it can be sent afterwards. It's an investigation. We aren't just taking anyone's word on anything. If you don't like that we are investigating it, then we can just delete the whole thing at whomever's request.
We aren't being douche bags we are doing our due diligence, quit complaining about it. It won't get any of you any where.

Its being discussed guys. details will not be shared out here as that does nothing but create more drama than needed.
I can assure you that both parties involved will get fair treatment in this by who ever is handling it, and that everything will be thoroughly looked at before a ultimate final decision is made.
So until that time can we refrain from the bickering and complaining and just trust that it is being looked into. note that we dont have 24hr free time to deal with these things so they get looked into as we can, so please give us time.....but still also remember there will not be some kind of announcement when something is final as that is only for the parties involved to know. We dont make it our business to spread their business out in public when we can help it.

Erm usually some info is nice like which device, screen shots and you forgot to credit the original devs of the ROM you ported. Also you should be the first person to test your ROM to make sure it works. Its your responsibility to make sure it boots and works correctly

Really? We all make mistakes from time to time, and quite honestly, this community needs all the dev work it gets, even if it's "half-assed" like you claim. We all have to start somewhere, so please keep your demotivational comments to yourself. I agree, this does need some work, but it's better to correct and forget than to spam the thread with complaints about mistakes.

in this case you stop spamming with complaints about the complaints. fyi, i didn't complain about anything, in my opinion there's difference between someone being a noob and making mistakes because of it and someone being obviously careless. How can you post a rom without even mentioning what device that rom is for and ignoring guidelines from the guide you are following? I'm sorry if it came a bit harsh, didn't want to hurt anyones egos, was talking in general terms.

Its the guys first rom. Everyone makes mistake even the smartest of devs sometimes forget these stuff. You have to fail to succeed sometimes. Any rom for the galaxy players is accepted as long as they work. It does not matter if built by a noob or a recognized dev, it is welcomed.

What noteworthy developmental contributions have you made to the SGP forum? If you think you can do a better job developing something, then you do it. You're not always right. Yet, you try to defend yourself, but the harsh truth is you were being downright rude.
I'm sorry, but there's no sense in you discouraging newly established developers from trying new things, when you have not even contributed any sort of development to the community.
Remember that this is the dev forum guys. Please take the arguments elsewhere. If I finish all my work soon I'll test this ROM to see if it works although I need to find my player first XD.

This is true, sorry for cluttering up this thread, I just felt like I needed to intervene . As has been said, while soultaker did NOT follow directions, merely a simple correction is needed, not a full-blown reprimand, especially since this is his FIRST dev contribution to the community. Clocking in at under 12 posts, I would say that that's pretty darn impressive, even if his format leaves a bit to be desired.

I think it is YOU who should do the reading around here. The OP was originally devoid of all technical information. After establishing that fact, and a few arguments on the side, Soultaker went and edited the OP.
You can see where it says he edited the OP on 9/21. The debacle regarding the OP took place before 9/21. So, I believe I'll paraphrase you. This is development, so act like it. Use your brains and look at the information posted first.
You're asserting yourself in an argument that has long been finished; so, before you tell everyone to do something, I suggest you do it first.
The OP has now been updated to include the relevant information so I guess we can stop arguing about it now. Also arguments do not belong in dev so use pm or something else and don't clutter up this thread. People make mistakes all the time and the best thing we can do is help them learn from their mistakes rather than criticising them at every opportunity

Hi all, ok ive now rooted and installed Omega 50.1 and wow its good, but i still cant find the Omega Settings as i still only have default phone settings, any help please? Also can i ask whats your best rom and why? ok i no i need to try several/maybe hundreds but just wondering as there are so many roms and kernals, still pleased ive now rooted, yippeeeee.

You have to understand that threads like this are opened up all the time and people who are here a little longer have seen this question pop up so many times. There is an easy answer to your question. There is no best ROM! It's like with the favorite color. It's up to the person. I'm sorry but you're gonna have to figure this out by yourself. Before I settled on Temasek's CM builds I tried MANY different ROMs and spent a lot of time with them. Every ROM is different and has it's own features, which you might like or not.
