sence its the firt android device with the qhd Resolution, manny apps just apper in half of the screen.
i have a problam with the igo Specific. i have the 800x480 ver.
is there a way to Stretch this app so i wiil see it on the full size screen ?

I have a Tomtec excellent 8 inch tablet with screen resolution of 800x600. After some playing i saw that many games dont work very well at this resolution. sometimes i can play a game and some of the side is missing. very annoying . Dont know if its possible but might it be possible for some games to change my resolution?

oke looks great. I have not yet rooted it but was thinking about doing that soon so im going to try this for sure
havent tried all the density change apps there are around, but it dont seem to work with the ones i tried. I cant stretch my ratio of my screen so it doesnt help.

it will lags constantly while playing some games, i think it is because of its high screen resolution. (correct me if i'm wrong)
If i want to change whole device screen resolution from 1280x720 to 960x540
I just need to change the lcd density/screen resolution at build.prop and change all apps to 960x540 compatible (included launcher) , then change the details of my model to Xperia P (which is a 960x540 resolution)
Is it my steps will work?

I recently bought Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 I9152 only because it has dual sim otherwise I was opting for Lenovo K900. Mega has lower resolution so I used Display Changer (Resolution Changer) and using Apex Pro so no prob with home, drawer, dock or lock (with min improper position). But problem found in camera and dialer, both are not positioned properly according to the resolution I set (from 540X960 to 720X1280).
So my question is, can we fix this?

I JUST got my z2 in the mail and started playing with it , but I am already concerned . This screen supposed to be 1080x1920 . My CPU-Z said 1080x1776 ??? 480DPI Android info is showing the same thing !! Can anybody clarify ? Can somebody use CPU-Z on your device and tell me should I return it !
That's correct - it removes the space that the navigation takes up from the resolution.
Hello, I installed android x86 on an old laptop to run a game. Everything is working correctly and no issues so far. Now I’m trying to run one app that only works in cellphone resolution (720x1280). Tried to change resolution with apps from playstore, resolution changed but app stoped. Tried to change resolution with terminal ( wm size 720x1280 ), resolution changed but app still stops. Then i finally remembered to edit build.prop and added (debug.drm.mode.force=720x1280) to build.prop and the app started to work, but now the resolution doesn’t fit in display, causing the image to flip and stretch in screen. Now that I’m sure that it’s a resolution problem to use the app, is there any alternatives to display things proportionally on screen without flipping all the system and apps?
