I saw this video at http://www.phonearena.com/news/Motorola-DROID-X2-HDMI-out-Demonstration_id19011 and i was thinking if it was possible to do this on the Atrix. I've seen some other threads that show how to do modifications to the build.prop file but it doesn't provide full support for landscape mode, for example.

Guys, i made my own wallpapers and reedit some original miui wallpapers with cs5 that come with themes always display off the quality. Not in HD. I use official miui.
I tried with different ppi and resolution, it look real hd if i set as desktop background on my computer. But not on my phone. The tiny line will display blur line on the phone.. It goes the same when i edit some icons too.
I wonder if theres any program or specific setting for images and icons that would display like hd for miui? Anybody guide me or point me to any program that appropriate for miui?
Thanks

I had been waiting for a potential OTA so I stayed on nottachtrix rom for a while but now I'm on epinter CM10. I uses a lapdock and would like to find out whether we could tweak the mirror resolution so that it won't look as pixelated on the lapdock. Nottachtrix ROM use an app called mirror resolution but as far as I can tell, that is Blur-based ROM only.
I use an app called DSLR Controller to control my Canon T4i and would love to have a clearer quality image (by matching the lapdock screen resolution). As of this moment, the screen resolution of the image feed from the camera is not better than the quality of what I see through the view finder and the flip out LCD screen.
Thank you

I don't think that this is possible because of a lack of drivers (I'm sure it would have been fixed in ICS ROMs if it were possible with the limited tools that developers have available to them).
It's things like this that make you more annoyed at Motorola for giving crap support for the ATRIX.

Has anyone noticed an issue where camera apps will be missing the UI? For instance, Pano a very popular panorama app and even some of the video apps like MX player will have this issue where the image you are viewing draws on top of the UI making it unable to be seen. I am running AOKP Milestone 1 but unfortunately do not have enough posts yet to put this there.
Any info would be greatly appreciated as it causes me a lot of issues.
I apologize if this is in the wrong location but I had a question and am hoping to find the answer.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Go into Settings / Developer Options and check "Disable HW overlays".
This is a sincere request to all the Dev's to please include the HDMI enable/disable capability in their roms.........people like who have a buggy HDMI port are unable to use the custom since the phone gets locked in landscape mode.........and hence we have to stick to the stock rom
On all 4.0 stock ROMs for the Mediapad i can use the TV, which I connected with HDMI, as a secondary screen and turn off the tablet screen seperately. The image is outputted in 1080p as my display shows me and when Android detects video, like Youtube, another videoplayer or even on Flash Player it automatically removes the navbar and the black bar on the sides because of the 16:10 format of the tablet.
But on the CM and AOKP custom roms with Jelly Bean this functionality apparently was removed. :/ It's cool that there is even an image output on HDMI (thanks to the dev^^), because for a long time the output on CM was quite buggy. But because it's always outputted on 720p with black bars on the sides and when i play video it doesn't switches in fullscreen, as it did in ICS, the HDMI output is quite useless for me.
Is there any possibility to add those functions back, change the hdmi resolution or just maybe readd the automatic fullscreen switch for videos?
I already searched and looked through many threads and it looks like the ASUS Transformer Pads also got this problem with the Jelly Bean 4.2 update and the Nexus 10 got the same problem. I found an this script for the Nexus 10 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2278508) and tried it, but it just messed up my UI, so I had to wipe, and didn't even changed the HDMI output resolution. I also found these two apps (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.forbitel.screensettings&hl=de and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2300248), but I really don't know if they're gonna work, because even if it says in the description of the "Screen Settings" app, that it's for devices with screens larger than 4.5 inch, it looks like they're intented for the Nexus 10 and I really don't want to mess up my UI again, just to wipe install everything one more time
