Issues with Pocketlegend - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, as sad as it sounds I've been playing pocket legends. Started on my desire hd and it run amazingly. Since I've been running it on my sgs 2 it keeps crashing. Game will just lock up and i have to jump to task manager to shut it down.
Its happened on all 3 of the kernels.
Just wondering if its a sgs issue or that pl has not been optimized yet. I've posted on the pl forums but no reply yet.
Cheers for the help guys

I've been playing it a bit on mine, and beyond the cpu heating up (To be expected from a game like PL), I've had no issues with it. Tried to wipe & delete cache/reinstall the app yet?

yeah tried all that, unless ive missed something.
When into applications and celared cache there, then uninstalled and reinstalled.
Sometimes it can work for 30 minutes, others im lucky if it works for 3

What settings are you using in game.
I have been messaging please and all they keep telling me to do is reinstall which is not helping.
Have you rooted your phone? If so what kernel are you using?

[Q] hydrogen temple run crashing

i recently installed hydrog3n-ics-20120418-sgs2 and temple run keeps stopping the phone completely.
i have to take battery out to start again.
very frustrating anybody had this problem at all?
sorry if posted in wrong forum
happens on all roms I believe (definitely cm9 based... though I'm on a Sammy rom and it's also happening, though might be because I'm undervolted) - most annoyingly is, it also leads to the loss of data... I saw someone mentioning that the developers were aware of it...

[Q] Application quits automatically?

Hey Guys
I recently bought my SGS2 i9100, very happy with it. However i noticed some problem.. I have observed many times that if i leave an application running in the background for quite some time, it quits automatically. It happened with torrent program..
Also my net is slow..and one of the games was downloading some data files through wifi..i left it for downloading and it also quit after sometime automatically.. tried it 2-3 times but the same result
Can anyone tell me whats wrong? Is it some phone setitings or something?or something really wrong?
I have ICS preloaded..
thanks
Could be how the phone handles multiple apps, did you fiddle with the settings in developers option?
Try setting more apps to see whether it makes a difference

Hmm no i didnt touch the developer settings at all...and a testing a bit more to find out more... Also, it generally happens when i multitask and quit another application..

Please help! My Galaxy Note keeps randomly shutting off :(

Experienced this just a couple of days ago My screen will go blank, like it went to sleep but what actually happened was it just simply shut off! I installed two logcat applications, but I don't know jack about reading logs I want to know what causes these shutdowns The latest ones happened between 6:32-6:33AM and 6:54-6:55AM (it's 7:26AM now, my time). Please help

check if you've installed any apps that prompt the auto shut-off of your phone
previously I had this problem before by then I realized it's due to the installation of one of my fault apps.

first of all,i think this is happening because of any new app,try to remember when it was started(maybe that time you installed any app and now that app shutting down mobile? or just go to task manger and clear each app that was running and also clean memory. if problem is gone and its occur again after rebooting mobile its maybe a Rom Bug,you need to change your Rom,but before doing that try to clear apps through task manger. and see what happens
i hope that helps you
Well first of all ...
Are you rooted? What is your Rom/kernel?

Thanks for the replies guys ok, here are some more info and observations.
I was originally using CyanogenMod 9.1 when this happened. At first, I tried wiping cache and dalvik cache. But it was still the same. After a few more shut downs, it got worse. It got to the point that it shuts down after the boot animation. So, I used Clockwork Mod to revert me back to rooted stock ROM. It's not as worse as CM9, but I still get shut down. Now, here are the observations I made:
1. This only happens when my phone is unplugged. It works fine otherwise.
2. This consistently happens when I connect to the Internet, for example via a browser, didn't matter whether it was Chrome or Dolphin. Offline reading via RSS or Pocket is fine. I opened FB unplugged and I got shut down as well, so I guess it's safe to say that connecting to the Internet triggers it. When accessing the Internet while unplugged, shutdown is immediate and imminent. Plugged, I can surf just fine.
3. It also gets triggered when I play a game, but my shutting down is not immediate, unlike the one above. I am playing only one game at the moment (Great Big War Game). And I am able to play a long while before getting shut down (around 30 mins)
It wasn't like this a couple of days ago, and I didn't install anything new outside Google Play updates, this is not counting the two logcat apps I installed this morning to try to diagnose the problem.
Is there a way for me to find out what's wrong via the logcat?

maybe its a cache problem of your Browser,so try to clear cache of your Browser and if its not working Flash a new stable Rom( i recommend you Sweet Rom,find it on XDA,its very stable and smooth)
and flash that rom with Hydracore kernel.
hope that helps you
have a nice day
Hi thanks for the additional info. It seems that you have the issue persisting on a stock Rom?
Have you tried to wipe on a safe kernel (if on ics)?
Do disable any overclocking or any scripts.

Guys, just a quick update. I sent it off to the service center (reverted to stock and hid all traces of being rooted). They reflashed the phone (they say it's their standard practice to do that before considering hardware defects) but the problem still didn't go away. So, I think my issue is hardware-related
This problem is not software related. It is most definitely hardware. The phone is flawed and shuts off on it's own under various conditions, all hardware related. I am not able to post externally due to not having enough posts yet. However, I have had the same issue on 3 Galaxy Note 2's from Verizon. I made a video that shows exactly what is going on and posted it on the following website...
wwwDOTgalaxynote2shutsoffDOTcom
You will have to paste that link in to a new browser and replace the DOTs accordingly to get to it, but once you see the video, you will be enlightened. Be sure to read the details I provided on that site as well. They go in to detail about the problems that I have had and the lack of proper support that Samsung is willing to provide.
Take a look at the video I made here if you can't get to that site: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjLn2yikYnI

S3 multitouch issue?

I have a S3 on stock 4.3 when playing Fruit Ninja on the final fruit i use two fingers to swipe faster it sometimes stops detecting the input. I have tried multi-touch test apps and its OK however when doing the same as on fruit ninja swiping with two fingers fast it stops detecting and the touch point stays on even though I remove my fingers. Pressing it again removes the input. what is causing this?

Perhaps a buggy version of Fruit Ninja. Try to reinstall the game and see if there's any change. If not- download another game that uses multitouch (such as Music Hero) and do a comparison.

I thought so too but it happens in multi-touch tester app also but only swipping fast with two or more fingers and the input stays on until another touch is detected. I also experienced something weird today.A young one was paying temple run 2 on the phone and left it on the table i unlock it to find a purple/pink screen. I restarted and its fine now. Are these bugs in 4.3? I have got the phone only 2 weeks ago max. It was new out the box. These issues are making me very panicky. Ill give the music hero app a go. Thanks for your reply
Edit:The music Hero app works good but because there is no swipe action it detects all inputs. It detected 10 inputs in the multi-touch app no problem its only when swiping fast it happens i think

Sorry mate, I didn't see this part of the question...
What 4.3 version are you using? Sometimes this bugs are caused from buggy builds.

Im on completely stock 4.3. It hasn't been rooted or any ROM installed on it.
I attached a screenshot of how the inputs freeze and stay on.

Then I suggest doing a factory reset + cache wipe from recovery mode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCiNgZklXeA
NOTE- it will delete all of your stored data and apps (but external SD is safe), so make sure to backup everything.
If the problem continues and you've got a warrenty- then you should contact your seller.

App Crashes due to low available ram?

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone else is facing similar issues, or know of a fix. All large games seem to crash on my device. I cant get any of them to launch fully. Examples include VainGlory, Nova 3, Asphast, etc.
Smaller simpler games such as candy crush seem to work fine, which leads me to believe it may be due to low memory restrictions?
Can anyone help guide me on troubleshooting steps? I'm running G-925F, Unikernel V4.
Thanks.
I have played those games, they have never crashed on me. The only game that "sometimes" force stops is Yugioh.

Thanks for the feedback man. Looks like its an isolated issue. I'll try to delete cache and data and see how it goes
If anyone else has any inputs. Please do chime in.
