My blog http://xperiaminicyanogen.wordpress.com/ has been quite successful in attracting newbies to the power of custom roms. It also has help people to know the latest update in the custom rom without having to check in into XDA everyday. The problem is that on 26th May to 1 June, I will be busy participating on the National School Debating Championship. I think i will be too busy to manage the blog during those days. So I need help. I need someone to cover for me during that time. Your job mainly is :
1.Check in to XDA everyday at least once on development of x8, x10 mini and mini pro to check whether there's an update on the custom rom.
2. If there's an update, post it on the blog with the link to the installation thread
3. Reply to the occasional comments. It would be easier if you use the wordpress apps on your phone like I do.
I think that's all. If you are interested, just email me on [email protected] I will then reply with the instructions.

Dear mo20103
i'm sorry to tell you it was the best and my arabic favorite web site but unfortunetly it's not as good as it use to be anymore.
recently they have lost lots of good users since some of their moderators started abusing their power with no reason!
i feel sorry for them and i hope they will sort out their problems soon before it's too late cause i hate to see my Favoriate site going down and pretty fast
since they were attack by hackers group and their server was rooted few weeks a go they gone crazy and they are worst then before now specially when it comes to the way they deal with users comments on what's going on on their forum.
one thing more i notice some of their best staff step down for unkown reasons !
well, just to correct your information http://www.pocketpc4arab.com they have just started less then 3 weeks ago and before i write this i just check their forum and they have 51 users and not as you said 7 users compare to the other forum which is almost one year old.
best regards and have a great day

joon,
Regarding the kernel I think not. The kernel version in my pre-relase SW is 2.6.29.
.
Regarding 16M colors, as I understood it from the developers it required to much re-development which made it impossible to prioritize, sorry.
.
On air control, thanks for the hint! It seems to vary between 30 and 31 fps. As said before I’m trying to find out more on this.
I also tried the Quadrant standard test and got a score of 1033 points. It’s however important to remember that I’m running pre-release SW which first of all isn’t final but could have extra debugging enabled etc also.
.
TripNRaVeR,
Sorry but I had to remove your comment. A pity really since it was a long one and good one. Please remember to stay away from explicit language next time so that we can let it stay here. This being on our .com domain gives some rules I need to follow.

Hi,bro
each n every question's answer is on google than why is this section made for
if u don't know than don't prefer to google
i'm here for professnal's answer
thanks
1. I'm not your "bro".
2. XDA Developers has its own search engine. The information is out there, but you have to search for it. I provided you a link anyway despite you not searching for it first, and I get what you posted in return. But tell me this: how do you expect to learn anything if things are handed to you on a silver platter? I provided you the links, but while there are hundreds of people on this forum that can help you out, in the end you still need to learn to do it on your own. Better that you start now, rather than later.
3. Watch this handy video. It explains certain site rules in a manner that anyone can understand, especially the site rule about searching on the forums before you post.
4. 293 posts at the time I write this versus your 5. I believe I know just a little bit more about the Streak than you, and I am the person who provided you with a link to start with. You know, the link that provided you with guides on how to do what you wanted to do?
5. There are few professionals here. Most of the people on these forums are simply end users who have the know-how to make their Streaks that much better. Most of your responses are not going to be from professionals, and if you're expecting professionals, then this site is not for you.
Any questions?
If you want a "professional" answer call Dell. Ok I'll wait for you to get back with that answer......................................................................................................................
On second thought I don't have that kind of time.
OR you could actually read the info at the link provided. Of course most of that info is from amateurs, but those amateurs use the Streak everyday.
I called to dell they said that I have to give the streak to dell serviec center they will update it,but I can't give b'coz service center is 700 km away my home
Plzzzz help me if u can

All the links you need were already provided by Strephon. If you can't learn how to do it from there, you're better off not even trying. You'll brick your phone.

You didn't hurt me. You pissed me off by expecting the answers to be spoonfed to you, and then went running to another user on a totally unrelated thread begging for help because you didn't want to take the time to click on the link that I provided you.
I am not here to provide one on one tech support. If you want that, I charge for the privilege.
The "right links" you want are in the link I provided back in the second post of this thread. Click on it, start clicking on the links in the page that pops up, and LEARN.
Hello community,
I am a Flash/HaXe developer and I have done some a few app tests with my Samgun Galaxy ACE....
Anyway, irrelevant. What i need to say is that I wanted to post some ideas in the jellaxy android 4.1 thread, so I registered and now the system is forcing me to post 10 times before beeing able to post some ideas in the thread I would like to post... What is the point of this filter?
XDA forum needs 10 silly posts from me to prove i am not a robot.... seriously??? After 2 captchas, 1 confirmation email and human question in the registration form? You kidding me?
Plus the demotivating video might be funny for some people but really is not the best welcome intro video at all for anything, with sentences you "are NOT special" and "you hate yourself"...
9 posts left.. maybe when I get to themIi dont even have the same phone or my idea would be irrelevant then..
I don't fell like wasting everyones time posting trivial things...Anyways... what would you do? Would you do it just to get to that post? Isn't that exactly what the filter was created for???
Remember, I just don't have any questions. I only have suggestions to a very specific project!
This was made to prevent noobs from posting crap in DEV threads before they gain some experience. (Most of new users are noobs.)
BTW if you have an idea and you want to say it to someone specific (for example to some developer), you can drop him a PM.

Hello guys,
First to say thanks for contributing to the community, having android in 4.1 in galaxy ace is pretty nice...
Now I need to clarify that Im writting directly because I can't post on the threads as I am too new on the forum!
I wanted to say that if you think supercharger V6 is very useful then it should be added to the "CyanogenMod 10 'Jellaxy'" (samsung galaxy ace) version after all. it is a really small script (<1MB) or if not, then use the medium settings to maximize speed without sacrifice much multi-tasking anyway.
Think about it.
Cheers!
Hi all,
I am very fresh to this forum. Even though I got my account created in 2006 on this website I never used it.
All over the internet and the forums people mention about rooting the phones. I never really cared about rooting my phone out of the fear of bricking it. So I always put that option away. Now its serious time to learn it, as I am understanding the real benefits of it.
I own a Samsung Galaxy Note LTE SGH -i717D which is from the carrier Telus in Canada. How do I start of with rooting on this device? What is the latest version of Android available for this device for rooting? Are the custom ROMS really flawless?
Somebody please kindly help me get rid of the starting trouble I have.
Thanks all.

This has got to be the easiest method of rooting. It's what I've used on a few different phones and has never failed me!
Custom roms vary in stability. If they are based on source code they are going to be more stable than others. They will say "built from official source". Other roms can be just as stable depending on the developer and how much effort was put into the rom. You have to read the threads on the roms to compare issues if any, then pick the one you want to try.
The best advice I can give you is before you install or flash anything you verify it's for your device, and read the instructions at LEAST twice!
Welcome to xda ... I suggest you first read the xda rules. This is the general forum. Not for questions. There is a Q &A forum to ask questions in ... After searching.
That said ... Super everything thread is for you.

Admin, my intention isn't to hijack this thread. But I thought I'd ask prior to starting a new thread since I having the same concern, and before I get flamed. Please let me know which approach would be suitable to ask more questions while staying on topic.
I've been researching and reading tons of information everywhere. However I reached the conclusion that the more I read the more confusing it became. Whenever I thought I was ready to take the plunge, It's so overwhelming even figuring out what's current or what's outdated methods and files needed - I simply can't catch up without direct assistance.
OP: Thanks so much for starting this thread. For me, being a long time Android OS lover, yet entirely newbie when it comes to rooting jargons - I couldn't have said it any better - you took the words right out of my mouth!!!... The only tiny difference is that I have the SGH -i717R (Rogers).

Hi Lousk,
I know its really hard for a newbie to even think of where to start when it comes to rooting, because there are tons of information on rooting all over the internet and moreover confusion too. I learned it the hard way and I am glad to say now that I came out with flying colors. As with each official update, my device was getting totally sluggish, non responsive and out of all very little battery life. I couldn't stand this at all, one evening I sat on the internet, took the whole night before starting to do on anything with my device.
I didn't install any custom roms, but I rooted it which in turn helped me turn off a lot of services running in the background and also uninstall all the Samsung bloats, mainly the touchwiz. That thing is really resource hungry. Now my device is working at lightning speed and I have a feeling that it wont be obsolete in another 10 years.
I have all the files and also the instructions on rooting on my drive, unfortunately XDA is not allowing me to paste the link over here unless I have made 10 posts. They say it is just to prevent spams. If you are willing to give me your email id I can sent the link to you.
Go ahead and root your device to get the full potential of your unit.
Good luck,
Sumesh
