Has there actually been any more information regarding this accessory?

No word and I am surprised at the lack of accessories thus far.

This is the first I've heard about the desktop dock. That would be nice. Hoping they release the USB adapter for the tablet first.

Although since seeing these I've heard nothing.

Has anyone tried any of these case/keyboard combo?

I came across this website while searching for a porfolio case for my GTab.
http://witglobal.com/search.php?enc...lYXJjaF9lbmNvZGVfdGltZSI7aToxMjk4MjE5MzYyO30=
The website says that it will work with our GTablet.
Anyone has any experience with the listed cases or the website?
Thanks.
Never mind. I found it.

hi..yes I actually had purchased this usb keyboard+case+stylus combo..when I first got it I thought it was going to be leather but I was disappointed that it was not..its fake leather..and it fits the g-tablet pretty good being that its really meant for a 10.2 tablet..but the bad news is that the case blocks the usb connection on the g-tablet..meaning that the hooks on the case are in the way of the usb connection..its not meant for the g-tablet its meant for the superpad, zpad ext..that are 10.2 tablets..

Write In Campaign

Here's what I did today: I clicked on the "Escalation Mail Box" Contact link on the Asus support website (http://vip.asus.com/eservice/cus_suggest.aspx) and I asked them to release Transformer USB/Charger cables to the US Market. I explained how much I liked their devices; that I own both the TF and the docking station and how worried I am to only have one cable that could get lost.
Here is the reply email I received:
Dear Valued Customer:
Thank you for supporting and using ASUS products!
Your comment has been received by us and is currently in process. We will improve and as a treatment, you can reply through the link to check the situation. Thank You! [link to open ticket]
If everyone writes in, maybe we can demonstrate a strong enough user demand to get the most essential accessories out on the market.

Just did the same. One cable with no spare is not cool...
The guy who sells the FolioGuard stuff, xjarl I think, mentioned he got his hands on the 40pin connector and asked in the general thread what he should "do" with them...but the thread got buried super quick.
I thought a million people would ask him to make power cables but...

Do you think you could find that thread again and forward the key info to DevCake (the guy here who does the DIY hardware articles):

If anyone can hack together a substitute cable it would be him. So, if there's a guy somewhere who can get the connectors and there's a guy here who can determine which pins we need to wire to a standard USB cable (or charger or whatever we need), then we should put those two together.
Thanks,
glg
Just sent my request as well. I have the Radio Shack charger wall wart w/adapter but I'm very nervous about not having a dongle that fits the TF's port.
Guess I'm spoiled - a week after launch there were adapter galore for the Galaxy Tab on ebay.
I'm hoping the free market will save the day soon here...yikes!

I wouldn't call it spoiled, it seems like chargers and cables should be available readily for any device, what this is....is ridiculous.

I tracked down xjar and messaged him about 4 days ago but no response so far. That connector is the holy grail, find it and I'll be able to make a GRIP of cables and accessories.
I've just done so asking about availability here in the EU. They don't seem to be anywhere!
I got a response back:
Thank you for contacting ASUS and providing your feedback. You may purchase the AC adapter here:[http://us.estore.asus.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=3613] Please let me know if you have any questions and thank you for your support.

Just sent one in, used my college email, maybe will get a different result, who knows
Im going to keep sending not too nice emails to them. Getting kinda annoyed.
New response today:
Thank you for your response and I do apologize for your inconvenience. The ETA for the power adapter will be on 7/12. Please let me know if you have any questions.

The 12th? Whats taking so damn long.
Letter sent. I hope they get their head's out of eachother's asses.
This situation is really irking me. I sometimes wonder if I shouldn't have gotten a different tab is only to rectify the accessory situation. These adapters should only be costing like 5 cents to make. I don't understand what is going on here.

Perhaps they are not yet ready with software support ; but then again they already have support for USB through the dock

Oh I'm specifically just thinking about their charger cables. I *hate hate hate* that I only have one. As far as I can tell the only places you can buy them they are like $40. Ridiculous IMO b/c that sort of thing should be pretty cheap. That is a pure profit item, if it were even in stock in the first place.

My bad, I thought it had the wrong connector but when I zoomed in I see it is at a bad angle. $40 buck is a little expensive, especially considering it is defective.
Out of stock already!

[Q] Wireless Charging?

Do we know if the Nexus 9 will support Wireless Charging?
I came to the XDA forums expressly to ask the same question.
But I would say this: *IF* the Nexus 9 happened to have Qi charging capabilities, I would've thought that this would have been included in all of its promo materials: the video ad, the photos, the press release, etc. So since there is no mention of it, I fear that the answer is no :crying: (I'm praying to be wrong on this one)

That is exactly my suspicion as well. If there is no Qi charging, I would consider that a step back in capabilities from the Nexus tablet platform point of view.
I was really hoping it would be included bit it seems as though that wont be case. The promo materials for the Nexus 6 mention wireless charging, but it's suspiciously absent on the Nexus 9.
too sad if Qi would not work ! :crying:
So no Qi, but i iust watched a video where i think i saw a micro usb port on the side of the tablet?
Im thinking with something like this
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008F...165_QL70&qid=1413519170&sr=8-6#ref=mp_s_a_1_6
It would be a good way to play and charge without ruining the port?
Sent from my LG-D801 using XDA Free mobile app
Wasn't even aware it couldn't handle this.
It's really lame, but I hope they fix it in a revision.
I plan on buying something like this: http://www.dx.com/p/fpc-5v-1000ma-q...for-motorola-moto-e-black-338260#.VEGNZh2Uc41 and then use a slim case (which I'd use anyway).

Is this compatible with the Nexus 9? (beyond the "It has to, because it's microusb"). If so, could you illustrante exactly how to make this work along with a cover?
No, but why shouldn't it be compatible? I'd just put it under the cover. Should work in theory.

[Q] HDMI output

Is nothing supported? we have to do it wirelessly? i am not a fan of that lag. I am surprised to not see slimport.
Ideas?

what do you mean.
You can buy a micro usb to hdmi adaptor on amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Generic-Micro-USB-HDMI-Adapter/dp/B005NG71K8
I would also like to know if it supports slimport
It doesn't work with my Micro-USB/HDMI (MHL) adapter. I don't have Slimport to test.
I have a slimport on the way... arrives in two days however. If know one can fill us in i will post a follow up.
Seems like a silly thing to omit from a device.

Yeah, just tried as well, it's a no-go
This tablet has quickly gone to "skip" for me. Build problems out the wazoo, random heat issues hot enough to damage the battery, and now it can't even do HDMI?
Screw you, Google. Guess I'l stick with my nexus 10 for yet another year.
Same here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-9/help/slimport-mhl-doesnt-t2930951
I have a Google answer about this but I can't post links after 10 post
In google groups, in product forums go to Nexus 9 and find mi post named "Nexus 9 and Slimport doesn't work"
They said to me that the micro usb port doesn't support video output.
This is a major bummer
The cynic in me says Google left it out on purpose hoping to sell more chromecasts and nexus players.

I'd really hope not ?
A wired connect is always gunna have less latency than a wireless one
