Friend offering to sell me his off contract for $375, is that a good deal? Im currently on a DINC, love it but this seems like a good deal. Longtime lurker but now my first post!

Well, its about a month old at the worst, and a new one is $500 - $550, doesn't seem like a bad deal, check ebay and craigslist also to get a gage on pricing..
If i sell my DINC that could help bring the cost down. The thunderbolt just seems to be the successor to the DINC as far as community development in my opinion.
Great deal for off contract, since you wouldn't be tied into 2 years.
Definitely grab it. You can sell you DINC for 175-250 on eBay, so that's a steal!

i gave 340 for a new one last week with 1 year contract so thats a good deal. i have a fascinate, incredible and moto x for sale.
picked mine up new without box for 250, sold my fascinate for 200. got a great deal
Pretty decent deal. I love this phone but I am glad it was only 220 for me on a one year contract.

For a Thunderbolt? That is a great deal. Take it and put it on eBay if you're not using it.

Best Buy dropped the price to $100 on Sunday. Online retailers have had it at that for a while.

I really lucked out and got it for $50 the day it came out on May 24th at Best Buy. Signed up for the phone freedom $50 gift card back in Feb and got $50 off instantly . Then they had a $50 gift card promotion going on for the phone and got that instantly as well. So walked out only paying $99 but an hour late I got an email from Best Buy thanking me for buying a phone and to click the link to download my $50 gift card. Ended up printing that up and buying a Otterbox Defender case with it....but returned it a couple weeks later for the Commuter case. Still amazed at the deal i got considering i was upgrading as well.
Just played with the note and DNA at the vzw store. I really like the feel of the Note which surprised me. What is the best/least expensive source to buy the Note 2 off contract? We aren't extending our contract again if we can help it.

Craigslist is a good alternative but warranty is questionable.

Will Best Buy price match Verizon Wireless if I'm buying off-contract? I have $400 in Best Buy Gift Cards, so I'm going to buy it from them regardless, just would prefer not to have to pay $100 extra.
I've heard of people getting Best Buy to price match, but have never tried it personally. What's the worst that they'll tell you? Sorry, we can't do that?

Verizon and asurion will definitely not warranty your device from a device bought off Craigslist. I've tried before, and contacted various VZW reps and asurion rep

My Costco won't, just the contract pricing.
What about just going to the Verizon store, should be a decent place to purchase, right?

Good job. I placed a Craigslist wanted add offering $550 cash but no response so I bought it full $699 price at Best Buy. Fuu.... but good thing it's worth it.
I saw on Amazon amd newegg for 629 $ but now can't find it anymore. If I could still find I would have bestbuy price match. Wondering because my girlfriend is gonna buy in a week and has no upgrade. So im trying to find the best place for this. If I can find a legit site I can get bb to match. Anyone have ideas?

I got mine new on craigslist for $525 grey version. The guy was a iPhone user and got it as a gift. I seen another one today for same price. Sold my gnex for 200 so I paid $325 for new note 2 off contract kept unlimited data.
Yeah id rather buy it from a store then ebay or cl. That way I know its new legit etc and can get insurance on it. Accursion or whatever through Verizon

Honestly I always buy my phones from Craigslist. Just picked up my Note 2 on CL yesterday for $560 practically brand new came with everything. Just tell the seller to give you the IMEI number and get it verified by Verizon. Hope this helps
If you buy off craigslist and call to add insurance for the phone they cannot do it.

You might have issues with the warranty as well. Amazon seems to be the lowest that I can find at $699. That's worth printing and bringing to best buy which is $100 more.
I bought mine on Craigslist new and still have assurian insurance on my device. Long time customer my deductible is only 50 bucks
I met seller at verizon and activated it before I gave him the cash.
If you order the phone through Amazon with a new 2 year contract, the phone is $119, and AT&T throws an additional $5 off, bringing the price down to $115!
I just purchased mine and made the switch from the iPhone! Hope this helps someone.:laugh:

That's an awesome deal! I just didn't want to trade my iPhone 5 in, because I can sell it for more than they would give me.
Yeah the best thing about the iPhone is its Resale value. No phones really come close besides the Note 2.

Just bought mine from Sams Club (42003) for $88 + tax. Loving it so far!
got mine for $100 from Amazon about a week ago. love it so far. getting used to Sense (over my Skyrockets CM 10.1), but starting to really dig Blinkfeed.
