Help New Optimus One turn off - Optimus One, P500, V General

I have a problem
I bought 3 weeks ago an Optimus Lg One in Spain with Movistar.
Android 2.2
Software: LG-P500-V10b
I was very happy with the phone, until in two weeks I have been off suddenly and I had to remove the battery to fire you.
Any ideas?
Thank you

Dude, I don't understand anything... Are you using Google Translate?

Until in 2 weeks wat??

It might be some app that may cause that like a call recorder or full screen caller id. So be appropriate.
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA Premium App

Just format the phone with KDZ and use open europe room with froyo 2.2.2.
Worked for me after bricking the phone with LG software crap.

Dude, kdz is dangerous, it should be used as a last resort. Try master reset first.

Hello, and rebooted to factory defaults.
I read online that can be for the microSD card that comes with the phone.
I thought LG software update version v10B to the new version V10r.

I am having quite hard time trying to understand your English. What is your problem exactly?
- the phone DOES turn off when NOT wanted
or
- you CANNOT turn off the phone when it IS wanted?

aaa .. jjaja. Sorry, sorry.
The problem is that the phone is turned off suddenly 3 times. To switch I have to remove the battery and putting it back.

I recommend for you update the firmware version V10b to V10r?
I've also noticed since I removed the sd card the phone is not turned off.

If you are using the original SD card supplied with the phone, those are pure junk... Would highly recommend replacing it with something decent in any case.
As for the ROM upgrade - yeah some SD card issues have been sorted out this way, worth a try.

It may be the reason why the phone has been off three times?
I read internet that many people have passed, but no one provides the solution.

I do not know. (No crystall ball here.) You need to do the legwork, try and report back. Noone else is going to do it for you.

I had the same issues with my P500. Stock rom upgraded to latest v10h (in Norway) and replaced original SD card with a 16 Gb Kingston card. No problems since...

Thank you very much for the help, I'll tell you.
That card of these two, what you recommend me

Go for kingston..

I upgraded the firmware to version v10r, and updated the OS to 2.2.1.
Of time without changing the sd card, I have no problems unmount the SD and so far has not shut down again.

I Face kinda same problem, Phone suddenly switches off and turn back on itself, and sd card is not read. I have to remove sd card and put it back to make it work, what might be the problem ?

Maybe fault in phone hardware...

Do as I do. Try to spend a few days without the sd card in the phone, if you do not have that problem, it can be on the card.
You can also upgrade to the latest firmware from LG

Will the 3125 read a 2gb Microsd card?

just want to be sure it supports 2gb cards before i buy one
yes it supports up to 2GB
In case you're wondering what brands are known to work good in 3125 - I have a SanDisk 2GB in mine that works fine...
Just bought a couple more the other day from a vendor on Amazon.com - 2GB seem to be pretty cheap now. I went for the SanDisk packages that include a SD and mini-SD adapter with each micro-SD card - hardly any more expensive than getting just the micro by itself (and keeps your options open in the future)...
(no, I don't work for SanDisk...

I recently started having problems with my 2g sandisk microSD. The phone sometimes can't see portions of the card. I have to reboot for the phone to correctly see 'all' the card. Anyone else experience this?

do u solve that ?
any ideas ?
i face that with 1 gb and 2 gb and 256 micro Sd cards . i donot know what is the problem ..
please help us guys ..
I had issues in the past where the contact between the phone and card seemed to be a bit flaky. I have since put a small folded piece of paper (just a couple of layers thick) between the SIM card and the SD card to push it down in order to get a better connection. I have not had any problems since.
Hi Mag ,
Thank you So much for your useful post ,
ur solution is the Best , and it is a successful way to resolve that issue ,
i had created a topic here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=420140

I have had that happen before, I think the SD card driver is crashing, once you reboot the phone it seems to work fine. This happened on an official cingular ROM. Never had a problem with Erofichs' ROMS

Just try adding a layer of tape (I used regular, transparent scotch tape) on top of the microSD card and trim it

Cant get my SanDisk 4gb to work

I installed the jasjamming black version off WM6 a week ago on my 8525 so I could use the 4gb sdhc card I bought. But it's not working. It shows no memory. I've looked around and it says that this was supposed to be a fix in the WM6 roms. I've tested other smaller cards and they worked fine, I don't have a card reader so I can't tell if this card is good, but if it was a problem with the card I think it would say something having a problem with the card. Is there a work around or something I can do to get this to work.A way to see if it is detecting the card at all. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
That particular rom might not work with the card, never used that rom so can't say for sure, I can confirm it works wih the official HTC rom and some of the other roms out there, do a search all the info is here.
im using the black majik rom and sometimes it wont detect my 4 gb card. only after re-inserting 2-3 time it will show up. kinda weird.
Thanks I think I will try another rom and see if that fixes the issue. Can anyone recommend a non-official rom that works with Sandisk 4gb.
Have you tried to make 2 different partitions to that sd card what happens then?
how would I do that... since the card isn't reading I have no way to create a partition on it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I am going to be watching this thread very closely as I just ordered a SanDisk 4gb card for my HTC TYTN. I am using an HTC Rom in my phone at the moment. I will post up to this thread when I get my SanDisk and let you know if it worked in mine.
P.S. Having to insert the card a few times and randomly not recognizing the card seems to be a bug that is popping up more and more. Even with my 1gb card sometimes it just would not recognize that I had a card in there until I popped it in and out a couple times. Card is new, phone is only a month and a half old so I don't think it is an issue with crud, its got to be some sort of software bug.

Using your computer. The microsd should have come with an SD adapter. As for a ROM, I'd personally try any of the new super-lite ROMs. They, and any ROM that has been released in the last couple of months should definitely support SDHC.
I got it to work
I upgraded to Shaps new rom and it worked right away with no problems. Don't know what the problem is with the jasjammings black 3.0.1 rom I was using but Shaps rom definatley works.
Just a note.... I had a little problem with activesync not working with the microsd in the phone. This was an easy fix since all It needed was something on it. Once I tansfered a file onto it, it started working fine. My problem is completely soved.
Glad to hear you got it working.

Issues with my SD card

Hello all,
I've bought 8GB SD card and used it on my mini pro, I faced some issues like:
1. Alot of programs suddenly crash
2. Wireless connection gets dissconeccted automaticlly
3. The whole Android software get crashed and the screen goes into black, then this can't be solved if I didn't remove battary and reinsert it.
I Tried to check the SD card for bad sectors and problems but there were nothing.
Any Solution?
NOTE: I have another SD card (2GB) and it dosen't make any problem when in use.
If you remove the card the problems persist?

It doesn't make sense, but you can always sell it cheap to someone that can make a good use to it.. #short term solution..

This doesn't make sense.
SDcard has nothing, that could affect wireless connections at all.
SDcard has nothing, that could affect whole Android firmware. Neither should it make apps crash.
What manufacturer's SDcard did you buy?

MAYBE a problem with file system, connect it to pc, with a card reader or put phone in mass storage and format it with FAT32 system.. thats what my 8gb card has..

It happen to once with my cheap 4gb card when i paired with nokia n82.. Till now i don't know why the phone keep refusing to recognize the card. The irony is, the "rejected card" works normally on my current phone "sk17". it left me scratching my head.
If you can return it, return it. If its not worth it, just get a new one. Basically, you have done everything on you end, so its definitely the card's fault.

Check for SD card class, its written on SD card.If its less than Class 6 then you should buy SD card with class 6 or higher.
Second you should not place large files like multiple blueray pictures or multiple songs in single folder. And last you can speed up SD Card read, write speed by using SD booster of Root tool box pro app to make your SD card faster.
I thing class is not so important. I now using few year old 16 gb card class 2 without any problem

Weird but I have no reason not to believe you.At least you know that the problem is the card,so either return it and get a new one or buy a 16Gb instead. They re already pretty cheap! Opt for a class 6+!

Why should I avoid putting multiple songs in one folder? I have put like that and my sd works fine eh??
and the other thing if you had apps in the other sd which was 2gb and u put the 8gb one without transferring them to the 8gb card the apps should not work. Android system failure sould be a problem of memory management. Check whether you had filled ur card.
and yea I think the best solution for u if u have tried every thing, return the card

SD Card dismounting constantly

So I am having a problem where my Sandisk 32GB MicroSD card is getting dismounted from the phone. It gives me an error message like "SD card has been removed. Please use the Safely Eject SD card option to prevent data loss" or something like that. Then, it finds the card and runs the media scan, which renders my card useless for that time period. The screen also turns on for a minute or so during this time. Then it stays mounted for maybe up until 5 minutes before starting over again.
This absolutely rapes my battery, taking it from a full charge to dead battery in less than two hours. I thought maybe the SD card was going bad even though it's fairly new, so I took it out and tried it on my old Motorola smartphone, and it works fine and never dismounts. So I thought perhaps it's something with my phone, so I tried an older 8GB micro SD, and it works fine without dismounting at all.
Some info. Phone is running stock 4.0.4 with root and unlocked bootloader. The 32GB SD card worked fine for maybe 3 months until this problem suddenly started. Any ideas?

It's behaving like mine did when the SD card croaked. 32GB SanDisk here as well...first SD card I've ever had die on me. My SD card wouldn't stop doing it. I just gave with it. Uploaded all my music to Google Play, put the 16 GB card that the phone came with in there. All is well now. Haven't had a problem with the card in there yet but I rarely use it now anyways. Basically just there for backups

Well thanks for the responses, I already backed up the data that was on there. I can't find my receipt for it...any idea if Sandisk is good about replaced defective cards?
I went through four RMA replacement 64gb class 10 SanDisk cards, ate the $90 loss and spent $80 on the Samsung equivalent. It's faster and I have had zero problems with it. However, I used SanDisk cards for nearly a decade before those without any problems.
The SanDisk hi capacity cards seem to not work well in the lgog. They worked fine in my card readers, just not the lgog slot.

[Q] Music keeps skiping like a bad CD

Hey there, for a while there I had the 4.1.2 OS and everything was just fine.
that untill I started upgreading my OS.
when I upgreaded to a stock 4.2.2 everything was OK on my device except the music who kept skipping like a scratched CD...
I tried many different OS (stock and custom) with no luck.
I thought when i'll upgrage to the 4.3 this problem will be solved, but man I was wrong...
I tried fomatting the SD card, removing it and changing it, with no luck so far.
haven't tried downgrading to 4.1.2 only because I believe there should be a solution for this.
also something that might related, but my device somehow ruined my SD card in a way that is no longer writeable and there's no way to format it from the device or from different forms with my PC and I had a DanDisk Ultra 64GB Micro SDCX which I had for only few months.
what can I do? I looked for solutions all over the internet and only found the "format/remount your SD card" which clearly dosn't work for me.
thatnks in advanced!
If the card won't format using the sd tool on pc then it is faulty, contact the seller for warranty replacement.

low quality sd cards sometimes make this kind of problems. i've almost same issue with 64 gb chine based no brand card.

and why do people seem to insist to focus on what's obviosly not the the matter.
I don't care about my faulty SD card, its my GS3 that dosn't function correctly that butters me...
