Hi!
I was wondering if any of the current theme gods here can update this theme with newer framework etc, or at least use the notification bar icons (wifi, network, etc) in another theme. I really like the look of it, but its an older theme that is long buried.
Thanks!

IT would yes, but it would be better to be updated to 1.8.3. Although, that being said, being I don't have an ATT version, I don't even know what 1.8.3 updated, maybe it didn't touch the framework at all.
Hmmmm. Im on stock french sbf. Think it would work?

If you flash greyblur first like I did, then any theme should work. It will swap you to the ATT framework which all the themes are based off of.
I was on the stock french sbf and I just deodexed it and flashed greyblur (which I recommend anyways, its soooooo fast), then started playing with themes.

I'm working on it After my first release, I put my phone through the wash by accident and it took while before I could afford the replacement parts (LCD and a flex ribbon cable). Now that I've had a long weekend off work and functional phone I'm almost done updating the theme.

I don't know how possible it would be to do,
but I played with some motoblur widgets on my buddy's Cliq, and now I'm jealous (i'm a social networking junkie).
Understanding that MOTOBLUR is still Android 1.5/1.6, is there any way to set up a partial MOTOBLUR integration into a ROM, or a MOTOBLUR skin that includes the widgets (and some program to log in/sign up to Motoblur?).
I found and pushed some .apk files I found around, but without any real idea what I'm doing, it was pretty close to 100% failure (with the exception of actually getting a couple of icons to show up in my app drawer - that's about it).
Is there any other interest in this? And will this be easier once the Cliq and Devour get 2.1?

I really want to see MotoBlur too! Hope you can make a motoblur rom!
if u want the skin theres a ton of ways u can go about it.
from what i kno theres about 4 home replacement apps that offer it.
one that i personally tried is for GDE..its ok,nothing to write home about. Not the skin, just the look..its a bit too kiddy for me.
as far as widgets go, check the hero forums, its been discussed.
sorry man

I tried to port 2.2 sense but I'm missing a few drivers and I have a motoblur rom sitting on a hosting site if anyone wants to take a crack at it. The radio on it doesn't work (no cell, wifi, bluetooth) so you can't get past the first screen, but touchscreen, buttons etc. all work. I ported it from a gsm rom.
Sorry about the mishap

Have any bell Atrix owners been successful at installing gingerblur?
I have been googling the hell out of this, and it looks like a Big ol' no...
I'd really love to whip up a Bell version, but I'm hesitating due to the lack of an SBF file for Bell devices. If my ROM messes up your phone... you'd be screwed without an SBF!
Any way to restore via the cwm? Not sure how that works..

A custom Bell Atrix Rom would need to be cooked.
If someone gets around to doing this... please fix the HSUPA issue and the microphone driver issue... I would love to be able to use Skype on my phone which I have not been able to do since getting my Atrix. AT&T fixed this last month thanks to firmware updates.
Running Gingerblur 4 right now on my Bell Atrix and it runs great!

If you flash the french u4_2.1.1 sbf first, you should be able to flash Gingerblur.
I know u could flash Greyblur (and I did) over the french 2.1.1 sbf, so Gingerblur should also work.
Once on it will swap your framework to the AT&T version and then you will no longer have compatability issues with any rom or theme on here, AFAIK.
I haven't flashed Gingerblur myself but I flashed Greyblur and then a theme and it's working beautifully on my Bell Atrix.
There is a thread here on flashing/rooting/deodexing/theming the french 2.1.1 sbf, you should check it out.

I flashed gingerblur v4 over greyblur on my Bell atrix and it didn't work. Every time I tried to boot it would freeze on the boot screen and give me the flashing red led, and then reboot itself. I am hesitant to try it again.

I think you may have to flash the stock french 2.1.1 and then flash Gingerblur.
I remember reading somewhere that flashing one p-rom over another can cause issues.
Did you do a factory restore/wipe after flashing Gingerblur?
I haven't flashed Gingerblur because of all the issues people are reporting in the thread and I have had zero issues with Greyblur so I am still running it, albeit the themes I have flashed have updated the framework to Gladiatrix.
I know Greyblur is based on 1.5.7 but all the themes out now use the framework from 1.8.3 so it still gets updated.

What's strange is that I had previously flashed gingerblur 3.5 over greyblur 2.1 with no issues. I did do a factory reset after I installed gingerblur 4, but not before. I was more curious than anything. After reading the changelog it doesn't appear like much has been added, and especially nothing that I couldn't live without. On a sidenote, have you experienced difficulty getting your facebook contact pictures to sync into your contacts? It seems like whenever I try about 60% or so sync and the rest don't. Just wondering if you've had similar issues with your greyblur.

I have custom contact pics for most of my contacts, but I DON'T use Facebook pics for it, so I have never tried syncing them. In fact, that is the first thing I disabled when I installed the FB app.
As for Greyblur, I haven't had an issue since I flashed it, and that was about a month ago.
It's no longer Greyblur really though. I have flashed a few themes which have since replaced the framework with Gladiatrix versions, so it's only MOSTLY Greyblur now, lol.
well, let me start of by saying that my favorite color is red and im sure it is for a lot of other people as well. i have a BELL atrix and currently using the gingerbread theme from Silent8Strike. i just think it would be awesome to have a honeycomb theme like HoneyGlow but in red. i think a lot of people would love this theme. thanks

yes i am on 1.42 now but cant get the damn thing deodexed (unknown has been granted su access and script window keeps closing any ideas toughbax?) also toughbax if you make the red theme don't just make it for me, post it for the community. im sure there are other people that would love it and the more use it gets the better. who knows it just might be more popular then the blue one!!
EDIT: i managed to get it deodexed yay!
I got my red theme of honey glow up for grabs... I also posted a update.zip for BELL

Why is it that the Bell Atrix has no themes?
If I flash one of the themes here that is available, isn't it true that it'll probably break my bell atrix?
If so, it is that much extra work to make the theme portable to Bell Atrix?
If not so, how can I get these themes onto my Bell Atrix (if i'm already deodexed).
Thanks!
Mag
There are themes you just have to dig for them. DO NOT FLASH THE OTHER THEMES HERE unless you know how to recover because it will not work. They are built off of the att framework.
If you want to use these themes flash the french sbf then gingerblur then a theme.

Here is a stock 2.3.4 deodexed/zipaligned rom for those that want to tinker with the official 2.3.4 update. Just Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache before you flash this and everything will go smoothly.
You must be on 2.3.4 prior to flashing this.
Download Stock 2.3.4 Here
This should help you get started. Enjoy
Another great addition to the ever expanding rom list.
Download link is now up. Sorry for the delay.
is it rooted?
I wouldn't exactly call this stock...
* ADW.Launcher
* Theme with different colors, status bar, animations, etc
* I went to the Market 30 seconds after boot and it crashed

lmao this is great.
To answer the question, deodexing is to enable customization to the rom. Also, In theory, you SHOULD get better performance due to the processor only reading apk, as opposed to two. Some say its not as quick, others say it is quick. Bottom line, you NEED this to be done if you are going to design a custom rom or to do a theme. Alos, this allows easier bloat removal, imo, because you are now faced with just deleting 1 file as opposed to two.
