[Q] CM7 Radio Question - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys,
After seeing what is going on with the GB radio/BAMF bricking situation, I just had a quick question about the radio I am using.
I am running CM7 (the newest based on 2.3.4), but not with the stock radio. I flashed the first one from the Obligatory Radio Thread (1.13.605.7 CDMA/LTE radio combo.
CDMA Radio version: 1.16.00.0402w_1
LTE radio version that came with 1.13.605.7)
Is this ok to be using? If not, is there a better one I could be/should be using?
On a side note, how can I get back to the stock radio that comes with cm7

radio version question

so i have question on what radio i can use since i dont want to be bricked so first I have never been on the mr1 update, i was on 1.12.605.6 CDMA/LTE radio combo.
CDMA Radio version: 1.16.00.0223r
LTE radio version that came with 1.12.605.6
can i just reflash that radio or am i going to need to do flash the mr1 update
I'm fairly certain that the only radio affected is the alpha gingerbread leak
I was on the lastest BAMF 2 with the Alpha radio, and my screen started being unresponsive. I switched back to CM7, and I'm glad I did after all the talk about bricking and such!

[Q] Switching BTW Gingerbread ROMS Radio Question

Hey, I'm currently rocking das BAMF pr4 with the MR2.5 radio and loving it. Anyways, if I switch to another GB ROM do I need to re-flash the Radio as well? Thanks for the help!
You should only need to switch radios if going back to an mr1 based froyo build. I believe all of the listed GB builds are based on the same leaked GB base, making them all compatible with the same radio (and you won't need to reflash that same radio over itself when bouncing around)
Nice..Thanks for the help!

[Q] No 4G LTE after root

Is anyone having issues with after rooting the Thunderbolt you lose the 4G LTE at the top and stuck with a 1X?
For some reason this is the second Thunderbolt and I'm having the same issues. If anyone can provide some feedback on this is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Check baseband. When I rooted mine from some reason it wiped my radio. Also make sure the back cover is on tight.
Did you just gain root, or did you also flash a rom? If you flashed a new rom you might need to find the right radio to work with that specific one. I'm new to this as well but what I've gathered from reading, Gingerbread based roms require gingerbread radios to be flashed as well. I think you need MR2 or newer to run with GB based Roms.
Yeah- if you root your Tbolt and are running froyo (which of course you would be unless you got the ota before it was pulled) and then you flash a GingerBread rom - you also have to flash a new radio. Flashing a rom does not change your radio. You have to flash the radio separate. And a GingerBread rom needs a compatible radio.
The latest radio is from the 2.11.605.3 ota. There is a radio thread in the development section. Sometimes they post the LTE radio and the cdma radio separate so you have to flash them both. You flash them in hboot. Not in cwr.
sorry if you knew all that already.

[Q] Where to download Radio 12.65.60.29U_26.14.04.28

All the links to this radio. Radio 12.65.60.29U_26.14.04.28 don't work, this is mostly because multiupload doesnt work any more however does anyone know where I can get hold of this radio or any other good radio for a Desire HD running ICS.
Also, I flashed the radio 12.65.60.29_26.14.04.28_M Should this change my baseband to be the same number as this because it didn't. My Baseband is 12.28b.60.140eP.... which as far as I understand is the stock radio?

Safe to flash N_01.100.00R radio on N_01.95.00R International Atrix?

Is it safe to flash N_01.100.00R radio on N_01.95.00R International Atrix with Alien Build 4 Rom System Version 4.5.91.MB860.ATT.en.US?
I have a Bell Atrix and i flashed N_01.100.00R radio without any problem.
Just to be on safe side download and backup ur current radio and flash back to it if u face any problems (mostly changing radio result in better or worse data and signal strength.

Btw do you know if installing CM7 from 2.3.4 has any issues with the GPS? Cause I have that problem on those roms (like Neutrino and NottachTrix)...
well Neutrino is striped down version of CM7 so yes the problem will be there.
