So i have Flashed,Rooted and Booted fine, everything is bliss except for one thing. My ability to select a wallpaper and apply it to my phone is gone i'm sure it is from uninstalling most everything on the safelist.rar at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=510396&d=1296991670 witch most i have replaced with a app i like better and they all work but my wallpaper, thinking back maybe un-installing "WallpaperChooser" was a boo boo though i'm not sure if that's why or not, Anyway is there an app i can install and get that functionality back? my main goal is to load live Wallpaper on my phone so i can have a video as my wallpaper. When trying to apply a wallpaper, i long-press menu Add to home screen comes up, i select Wallpapers, then i get a message box saying "Select wallpaper from > no applications can perform this action."
Im assuming since it says theres no applications for it on my phone NOW, is there one that i can D-load and install and call it a day? I have installed bubble 1.1.8 and others. SO here's what I'm rolling with (what i have):
x10a
Firmware: 2.1 -update1
Baseband ver: 2.1.54
Kernel ver:2.6.29
[email protected]!1
Build Num: 2.1.a.0.435
Dev/root Apps installed:
PC companion on phone and PC
Titanium backup
SuperUser
xRecovery
Spare parts
Rogers-2.1-X10a for my firmware

after 2.1 update i am not able to set timescape as home screen please help
If you go to Settings and Applications, you can Manage whichever launcher it is that you're using currently and clear it's respected settings. Then next time you hit the Home button it'll ask you which launcher you'd like to use to perform the function. That should allow you to select Timescape again

I am so angry now i could smash my X10 mini pro to the groung!! I tried to download 1 app, and it stopped downloading (still in statusbar with the wodnloading icon). Whenever i tried to tap it and get to stop install, it opened another one. I did this untill it got to 31!!! now i have 31 downloads there, that will never going to download.
I cleared cache, uninstalled updates and still there when i reboot phone. What the hell should i do? I am going crazy.
And there is no Clear Data for the market on the x10 mini pro... Is there any way i can get rid of those downloads stuck in the statusbar? M phone is rooted, stock 2.1 SE rom and a lot of apps + link to SD, so i wouldnt want to reinstall the ROM...
EDIT: can you guys post me the original vending.apk and marketupdate.apk for x10 mini /mini pro?
I'm having the same problem with a x10 mini (not pro) I asked google but they only gave me general information like cleaning cache or do a factory reset. I'm at my god-knows-what-number complete reflash of the phone.
I think the problem is rooting this time i'm gonna give it a try without rooting and if it works try to find another method of rooting. So far I was using flashtool.
I'll post what i find out, right now i'm going with the generic e10a 2.1 update from argentina since the telcel rom doesn't have google talk (thus making the "sign out and in from google talk suggestion completely useless, not that it actually worked).
Also try to download an image (any image) from the browser, even that should get stuck.
I was wrong, again. The root has nothing to do with it. With android software 1.6 everything works, but once I update to 2.1 *bam** the problem returns.
All this happened from day to night!
It's not the router i'm using, two computers, an iphone and a rooted nook don't have any problems!
Ok I tried with another google account and I managed to download one app (the ebay app) then nothing else :/
Sorry I cannot be of much help, maybe someone else has some other ideas? I already tried these from the android market support:
- Cancel the download and retry
- Ensure there is enough space on your device for the app to install
- Reboot your device
- Clear your Market cache (Settings > Applications > Market > Clear cache)
- Confirm there is strong connectivity on your device, and contact your
mobile service provider if you aren't connected
- Uninstall Market updates (Settings > Applications > Manage Applications;
select "Market" under the "All" tab/filter, and touch "Uninstall updates")
- Unmount and remount the SD card (visit Menu > Settings > Storage >
Unmount SD card; then Remount SD card from the same menu, or restart the
device if the remount option isn't available)
- Factory data reset
- Cache and Dalvik Cache format
- Restoring the phone to 1.6 then update to 2.1 (carriers branding tried: Rogers, Telcel, which is the original one that came with the phone and now an unbranded one from Argentina

Hi guys, i made yesterday the update by the kies program of my computer the 2.3.5 android version.
I had make a format of my sgs2 and then i connect it to the computer and i have update it.
The problem is when hit the button applications and i go to the menu with all the icons of my applications i can't change the order of the icons! i can change them only temporary, when i shut down the sgs2 and then turn it on back the icon of the aplication menu they are back like before i change them!
Did every one else have the same problem?

Download the app Appzorter from the market and shuffle your apps alphabeticly.
This is the downside with stock TouchWiz launcher. You could get http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1061883
which does sort apps, but it's a little buggy sometimes.
Or use a 3rd party launcher (I use GOLauncher EX atm, which is really nice and fast.)
ok guys i find the solution!!! i made again one format and it work, all are ok now!!!
The solution
Yes exactly as frixosmjoker said .. do factory reset and everything will be ok
Well from where to start... I have Samsung galaxy i7500 with custom rom :

my problem is that i can NOT access to Android Market etc. application won't start at all ...i get a grey screen and kick me back to home screen with note android market unexpectly stoped with two options "force close" and "wait" option.....can somebody give me a little help because i am a newbie at android platform,i used a windows platform a lot,but android is more covered with app's ...
ps : i booted this "rom" alone...with help from xda-developers ...and all other things work awesome, speed, stabilty and other performances are just briliant...
Go to settings>application>manage application>all
Go to market and clean cache and data, then go to google frameworks and do the same, clear cache and data, and better if u reboot your phone.
Your market should work again.
If you have a new Rom, you can try to update the gapps. You can found them on the cyanogen mod site.
I think the problem is you have a rom wich is not in your region but you can change the region manually . Give *#272*IMEI Number# in the phone and you can change your location choose the right for you mine is for example middle east . BUt save your data before you do that because that step remove your saved data.
By the way maybe you dont know your IMEI than go with *#06# and here is it.
Have a nice day
Failforce
try to full wipe factory reset on xrecovery or CWM...
if you use the stock rom, try to factory reset on setting..
ok I thought this would be an easy one. I have a spring samsung g s2 4g
