I just flashed the stock .kdz firmware for my optimus T, and it's now stuck at the android logo bootscreen. it's been stuck this way for +10 minutes, and it's lasting far longer than i've ever seen a custom rom take. Should I be worried? Should I try to reflash it?
Also, I used 3gQCT and DIAG mode to flash it, was that correct?

Thank you, but the stuff in that post is just the steps I already took. I'm wondering why I'm still stuck on the android logo screen. I've tried reflashing about 3 times now, and it still gets stuck at the same screen for 20 plus minutes.
Yeah, it's pretty much premanently stuck at the android boot screen. The LG one, and then the T-Mobile one load up and finish animating just fine, but then it get's to the final bootscreen, the one that just says "android". I have no idea what to do, please help!
It happened a similar situation to me I tried to update and got stuck at android logo screen.
1- very important the battery to be full
2- use kdz and possibly plain vanilla room
worked for me now I got 2.2.2 and waiting for GB
Just pull out the battery and try again! My first boot took at least 5 hours and it still stuck at "android" screen.
I tried three times and the third time works.
Good luck!
Also, try the (stock) recovery - Home + VolDown + Power; should wipe whatever interferes with normal working and reboot normally when done.
The official flashing utility has three different modes of operation. one of them is an emergency override flash that works on bricked phones with the stock KDZ file. The stock KDZ will have all the apps and everything; so there wont be any need to do a reset. you'll just have to reconfigure your phone.
Make sure you have V10L kdz file, as that is the most current one for use on the TMo's Optimus T.
When you run it, the screen on the phone will turn yellow and say emergency operation or something close to that effect. (i've had to do it a few times from bricking my pone, but not in a long time, so I forgot the exact wording)

My Optimus One has a black screen after a failed flash. I bought the phone in Hong Kong and cannot return it because I am back in the U.S. I will be returning to Hong Kong in a few months, so if anyone knows Broadway's (the electronics shop) warranty I would be grateful.
This is what happened leading up to the brick:
- Tried flashing Prime v2.
- After flash, didn't like the ROM, wanted to go back to AmberHome.
- I didn't have AmberHome on the SD card.
- I had made a backup of all my data when I was in AmberHome before I flashed Prime.
- I restored.
- Stuck on Android logo.
- Wiped all data, restored again.
- Stuck on LG logo.
- KDZ updater, phone in emergency mode, flash TYPE on EMERGENCY, flashed V10a (phone came with V10a)
- Mid flash, there was interruption.
- Tried flashing again, KDZ in CSEMERGENCY (phone still in EMERGENCY mode)
- Failed, repeated flash about 6 times.
- Kept failing.
- Tried turning off phone, then booting back up in Emergency mode again, hoping it would fix something.
- Phone won't turn on.
Isn't KDZ file corrupted?
I don't know. It just won't turn on. Any ideas?
Hi I have the same problem with my Optimus One.
After trying to back up original rom I can not get past the initial black screen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
What I don't get is why the phone stayed on in Emergency Mode and then didn't turn back on after trying to reboot back into Emergency Mode.
So, anyone got any answers, anything new?
Progress
I have made some progress.
After hours of research I am trying to fix through kdz updater.
My main problem is that only my Ubuntu box can connect to the net.
I have been trying to do it through virtual box but I just cannot get the software to see the phone.
Now I have copied the files to my old xp laptop. Surprisingly it still cannot find the phone.
I am going try to download drivers and manually install them on xp.
I will let you know how things are going. However I am bit flat out today so progress may be slow.
All the info on the forums has been very helpful, still if anyone can add something it would be great.
Well it was worth the effort. Lg Optimus One came back without losing anything.
All I had to do was re-root. Too easy with Z4root.
Anyway I had to download drivers elsewhere, load on to xp laptop disable lg modem driver in device manager, and just sit back and let it do it's thing.
At first I thought it failed as at the end an error message came up however it rebooted fine. Thanks for all the suggestions.
Were you stuck on LG logo or total black screen, no power, dead?
Just stuck on lg screen.
I am new to working with android but it must have had something to do with the boot sector.
Not sure what to do if no power.
Before the incident, I had root, no unlocked bootloader, stock JB, v20h.
What had happened was I was trying the Font Installer app in th Play Store because of the added customization that would have been nice.
I found a cool font, and I backed up my current fonts and then pressed install. SuperSU asked for permissions like normal and then my phone restarted.
Then it was so that my phone was stuck at the T-Mobile boot animation after the LG Logo. For about 15 minutes. This is where I believed something was starting to go very wrong. After contemplating for a few extra minutes, I decided to just take out the battery and restart. Same outcome. I thought of all the things that were on the phone thus far because I had just gotten it recently, and decided that it wouldn't hurt me to just do a hard reset by pressing home + vol down + power. Everything went smoothly. Except for the fact that even after I did that, it was leaving me at the T-Mobile screen.
I decided to look on the forums for development and tried to do the unbrick method, to no avail after about 3 hours now. I used the LG User Support Tool and since I hadn't updated to V20f, I decided to do that to see if it would solve my problem. It still didn't, and I'll be honest, I'm a little upset just typing this right now.
I also tried the Upgrade Recovery option and it warmed my heart to see that the process was actually starting. But right at the screen where it says that it is supposed to be downloading something, it freezes up and nothing happens no matter how long I wait. I saw somewhere that it should be a glowing red bar, but I do not see that anywhere, it is just frozen, saying Time Elapsed: 00:12. And before anyone asks, yes, I ran absolutely everything as an administrator.
Is there any possible way to bring this phone back? Any help would be immensely appreciated. Thank you in advanced.

did you hard reset? then turn off your phone disconnect the battery, connect to the pc holding the volume up button? then try the Update Recovery?
i would just go through that process over and over until it works, theres not really a way to brick this phone i've heard...

Thank you for your reply! I have tried hard resetting multiple times, but I had removed some bloatware apps (I will quarantine them next time instead because I don't wanna go through this ever again) and I have tried the kdz method to only be stuck at 15% every time when I followed instructions to the pixel. I have tried to do it on windows 7 and windows 8. I have also tried the fastboot method by lelus, and that manages to "work" but I am still stuck at the tmobile boot screen afterwards. I have gotten the hang of the process of getting into the fastboot, but what do I do from there? I chose to flash ics xloader and uboot, but the process goes by so fast, I'm not even sure it is doing anything. The LG Tool has really gotten me nowhere, it just gives me a lovely error and then cannot continue the upgrade recovery process.
It said somewhere that after I flash through the fastboot I then have to try the kdz method, so I am going to do that now and see if it works. I don't know if there would be a difference between flashing a jb kdz or an ics kdz, but I will just do ics to be on the safe side.
I am quite happy to say that flashing the ics kdz was successful, and my phone is now up and running.
My p769BK is stuck on the LG screen. /: months

im terrible with fastboot, i used the unlock the bootloader for noobs with an offline flash.
heres what i did to get out of bootloops....
alright, this is all from memory but the offline flash didnt work as well for me when stuck in weird bootloops.
Step one-going back to online flash---->
A---
the easiest way i found was to go to C:/windows/system32/drivers/ect/hosts
right click>open with notepad
there should be two lines at the bottom
"127.0.0.1 csmg.lgmobile.com
127.0.0.1 csmgdl.lgmobile.com"
i would cut them out and paste them in a text doc in the same folder for reference later...
but either way you should remove them from the hosts file and save
B----
Make sure your small server is closed! once you minimize it it should go down to your status bar (shttps)
Step two-LGMS---->
make sure you have LG mobile support installed or install it.
open lg mobile support
install needed drivers for your phone
power your phone off/remove the battery
put battery back in
connect it to your computer holding down the volume up button
S/W UPDATE mode should pop up, if it doesn't preform and hardreset and try again til it works (it will)
then in the top right corner there should be a button or two click them both until you see
"restore update" or Update restore or something to that effect
select that
and let it ride man
i got my phone ****ed many times and just had to keep redoing this until it worked. if your bootloader is truely unlocked you can probably go through all that again and get CM10 working, i did but im still working through kinks.....
GOOD LUCK feel free to ask any more Q's about this process if you run into any problems
Dear all,
and thanks in advance to anyone willing to spend some time to help me.
It all started few days ago when I turned off my LG L9 (updated to the last version available for my brand (Italy - TIM), I believe it was Jelly Bean V20C).
When I turned on the phone again, it was stuck on the lg logo.
Then I started to read this forum, and the first thing I tried was the HARD RESET. After that, a sadly image of the android robot with a red triangle lying upon its body appeared.
This image now shows up every time I boot my phone, just after the LG logo.
Then I tried:
- recovery from LG Mobile Support Tool
- followed this guide: [GUIDE] [UNBRICK][ROOT] FLASH Any LG Factory ROM (kdz) WITH OFFLINE FIX
- tried KDZ update tool alone (3GQCT in combination with all modes: DIAG, EMERGENCY, CS_EMERGENCY).
In order to use the Offline fix guide, I run fastboot with option number 2, to upload ICS x-loader and u-boot, otherwise the phone was not recognized by the tool (_IsConnectedPhone(0)).
But in all cases of kdz update, the phone reboots at exactly 90% of the process and after the initial LG logo the red triangle is back again .
Harder reset won't work either after the update.
I tried Italian firmware V10A_00, V10B_00, V10C_00, V20C_00, but none of them works.
I noticed that after the update to an ICS firmware, when I try the hard reset procedure, I can see the android recovery image just one frame before the red triangle appears.
I also tried to install a CWM recovery, but without the bootloader unlocked I got a "security error", that went away with a kdz update.
I searched this forum and I think I can't unlock the bootloader with a bricked phone, am I right?
I plan to make a last recovery with the LG Mobile Support Tool and send it to warranty, so that no trace of fastboot manipulations should be visible (right?).
I have read a lot of threads on this forum (and others) before posting here.
If you know of anything I can try, please let me know.
Thank you!
Absolutely the same...
I have this problem, too. Did you find how to fix it?
What happens during the recovery with the LG tool? I am sure I read about stopping at 90% and a solution somewhere here... search for it, I dont have the time, sorry...

i have the same issue .
at 90% phone reboots and red triangle dead android appears .
i think its a problem with the drivers . tried this on win 8.1 , 7 and xp on 2 different computers . same results .
i got the same with lg recovery and offline kdz method .
would be very nice to find a fix
I brought the phone to the warranty office. They substituted the "pcb main" so I believe it was an hardware problem.
Hello,
I got the same problem. Using the same methods and got no positive results.
Does someone solve this?
hello my friends. have any of you solved this problem?
i did exactly what op did, and no results.
I never had a red triangle issue. This probably neans that the bootloader is kocked AND encrypted. In the beginning this was the case with the US T-Mobile variant, and seemingly for all L9s from the final oroduction run. For other phones you needed to flash a certain stock rom, v10a or the first couple of v20s, then unlock the bootloader.
You should try using the CSE Flash mode from LG Flash Tool 2014.
I have the same problem, the difference is when i try to flash kdz it gives me error at 50%. I tried all the methods that op does but no succes. I also tried flashing img's manually from fastboot, i tried cwm and twrp as recovery.img and even extracted original kdz to img's and flash every partition manually. The system.img is the main problem cause you can't flash such huge file (1gb) through fastboot. Maybe someone have some idea is there any way to unbrick my phone? Bootloader is locked, and device had no root before brick.
Hello guys and gals, so i just recieved my LG V10 H901 and tried to follow https://forum.xda-developers.com/tm...step-step-guide-rooting-lg-v10-using-t3382631 this guide, but eventually i ended up with a brick after trying to flash the .tot file.
I keep getting
Boot Verification Fail
- cause: MISHMATCH_SIG_LEN
The TWRP recovery i had is now gone, and i can't access Bootloader. I can enter Download though. I read a lot of things around the problem, but i always stuck on various software versions or phone versions i can't really understand. Is there any way to get the phone back working? Before i try any method i just want to be sure i wont mess even worse (if that is even possible).
I tried UnbrickMe thread, but it says only for soft version:h90120j I have soft version H90120c (i haven't performed the update to MM) so i don't wanna try without being sure its going to work.
I m leaving for vacations in couple of days and i don't have a phone :/ please give me your lights.
Also LGUP wont see the phone, the same for ADB.
OK I Fixed it!
I was able to get out of this maelstrom of bootloops and to finaly flash the default ROM (you can find it here https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-v10/general/stock-h90120j000712-kdz-t3436249 )
So what i did is to remove battery for 10 seconds
Put The battery in
Hold volume up button
Plugin the phone to my PC through USB
Then download mode will start
I opened LGUP and fortunately it was able to see my phone.
Then went to Upgrade and flashed the kdz file.
All went smoothly and the phone is back working.
Hello everyone, I have been a fan of your forums for quite a while, you guys have an awesome community. I have been attempting to unbrick my VS990 with no success, I have LGUP and all of the proper dll files in the proper folders, I have two .kdz. One is the stock kdz, I can not get to work at all due to anti roll back (no matter which option I choose) and the other is the current kdz. I got that one to accept using update, but it did not fix my phone, it is still stuck in boot loop. and using refurbish I get an error message saying that it is not supported by that kdz. LG UP is fully recognizing my phone, I found the .kdz files no problem, I believe that I have followed all of the steps here >> https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v10/general/guide-lg-v10-stock-firmware-to-stock-t3224170 any help at all would be appreciated. Side note, I have not rooted or installed a custom recovery.
I would also like to add, I can not do a hard reset. Every time I attempt the phone either locks up when I hit the power key on yes to confirm factory reset, or sometimes it reboots to LG splash screen and locks up then. I am starting to wonder if there isnt a hardware problem with the phone instead of software.
