Anyone notice that the new 4G Telus phone doesn't have the video call part of the Phone app?
Does anyone know how to add it in?
Anyone know if i can flash another phone apk from the i9000?

Is there anyway I can use my phone's camera at the same time while chatting on it?
If you mean talking then yeah put the call on speaker hit home and open the camera app..pretty sure that will work.

I've tried it already and it doesn't work. Could it be the rom I am currently running on that causes my phone to do this? My vibrant is currently running on Simply Honey 3.6 rom.
Im trying to get Google Talk video chat to work and im having no luck either on wifi or 3g/4g and i have the 3g/4g enabler app installed as well. Can anyone help?
Any type of error message? Do you see the video icon next to your name?

No error message, I have the green video icon and when I press it, it acts like its calling and then just goes back to regular talk message screen?

I asked the same question in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19537758#post19537758 so check there also to see if any of it helps you.
So i tried the apps responding to voice commands, all of them work fine (alarm, camera, music) except for incoming calls. No matter how much i say "answer" or "reject" it wont do anything.
Is anyone else facing the same problem. If this topic is already opened kindly direct me to it. I might have missed it.
Thanx

I'm from Romania.
I think is software related but don't know exactly what's the difference between our phone settings and someone who can use voice commands to answer.
I believe the only setting is to turn on the option of answering calls using voice command. Because i contacted samsung twice. First time they told me to make sure my "incoming calls" option is checked in the setting. When i told them it is thn they just told me to take it to the service center.

is there someone else who wants to test the voice commands at answering phone?
190 views and only hand full of people having this issue. Did you try taking your phone to the local service center?

I just started trying to use my voice cmd's to control the phone. I am experiencing the same thing. For pictures it works great, for answering or regecting calls it doesnt work at all no matter how much i yell at it, and it is not changing the song for music play either. It almost seems as if the noise from the speaker is causing an issue.....
My phone is working fine otherwise so I find it hard to think that it is something related to the phone.....
No voice command function
same problem here... in fact mine is worst, after flashing with custom JB stock based ROM, no voice command options at all!! searching all over the forum for solution...

It doesn't work for me either. Don't know why but don't really ever use it do not really a buggy for me. Have you spoken to Samsung support?

ive never actually used the video call on my s3 but i do know on a number of other phonea such as the iphone and nokias that its better if you use a wi-fi network for video calls like skype and that because the mobile internet isnt fast enough for it to work perfectly.

I have tried the GSM network video call (ie. not using skype, gtalk etc) and it works as normal. I'm in Australia with Vodafone.
to make a video call using built in app both the caller and receiver should have 3g services activated and set the mobile to wcdma mode
where is the video call option?
try switching from gsm only to wcdma only or auto mode.
settings > more settings > mobile network > network mode
im on us version. does that make a difference?
Is this network dependent? Does the phone call the party's number? Or how does this work? Will it support SIP video calling?
Hi Guys,
I'm having a strange problem on a S3 a customer has. The problem is that when you make a call and then lock and unlock the screen a mysterious korean girl appears and i have no idea how this happened or how to fix it. Wondering whether anyone has any ideas. (Attached a picture).
Phone is a NZ bought model, running stock ICS 4.0.4.
All help appreciated!
Cheers,
Maybe that's part of the preinstalled carrier stuff?
Is he using the stock dialer?
I don't think it would be preinstalled as it only started happening recently after his son was playing with his phone (but doesn't know what he did to make it happen) and yes its using the stock dialler.
thanks

Looks like a Picasa image to me.
Check the syncing options in contacts You can choose to only show contacts with numbers in the contacts settings.
Anymore photos like that, forward them on.
I don't think its a bad thing
