Ok. I got cyanogenmod 7 6.5.1 and the lag fix kernal right. And when you put the phone on sleep it takes a while to show the lock screen. Is anyone else having this problem? Just wondering.

Ok heres whats happening....
first of all, my phone is rooted and i have the latest super clean and kernal.... this has been happening on a variety of kernals and roms tho..
Randomly, out of nowhere, my phone reboots. (maybe this is normal, the kernal is crashing?)
the problem is that once it comes back, i seem to be missing some system applications like my contacts app (whenever i click on contacts in the phone, it crashes, and i dont have a contacts app to click)
and sometimes, my phone Settings app.... if u try to click menu on the home screen and click settings, nothing happens..... and i cant place widgets..
I have to reodin the phone completely and start from scratch....
This happens like once every couple weeks or so....
any ideas?
Try flashing it again w/ data/cache/dalvik wipe

I do that every time it happens

i cant enter the phone to download mode
i see on the screen the icon with the mobile and computer
Has this problem happened to others or is my phone defective

It sounds like some of the apps may be incompatiable with the verison you're using. I had a somewhat similar problem when first getting into roms. It may be worth going back to stock and then reflashing to the latest SC.
Not sure.. If it was just a compatibility problem I think it would not work right away... The problem I'm having is random after a spontaneous reboot

Try fixing it by flashing stock rom then re root > rom install > cwm
Here's the guide I made

Rocking Frankenclean 2.9.2 Voodoo/EC10+Sound/Nitro Ultra Honeycomb v3.1/XDA Premium
sounds like my best bet, ill give it a try. thx
Did some searching and didnt find anyone with this problem. I have the lockscreen with the ring but the 4 apps to choose from aren't there and it seems to not care that I change between the 7 available different lockacreens. Anyone have a fix for this or experience it yet?
Would have posted in the BAMF thread but it says i need more posts befote I can.
Did you try rebooting?
First time I loaded, it didn't show up, but after a reboot, it's been working fine.
Reboot didn't work, grr.. I wonder if it has anything to do with spare parts?

One more question...
Did you do the update through Rom Manager or Clockwork Recovery?
Reason I ask, I noticed when I used Rom Manger the first time, not all everything worked correctly and things were missing.
So I restored my backup then went into clockwork recovery and installed the zip.
Then everything worked properly. I know others have reported odd issues when trying to flash through Rom Manager as opposed to Clockwork.
Not sure if that will help you, but you can always give it a try.
I wiped everything and used clockwork not rom manager

Sorry I couldn't be anymore help.
Only thing I could think to do is try and reload the rom again.
About to do that now

Yea took me 2 full clears/installs to get 2.05 installed correctly and fully
this is so frustrating, i did a reinstall and it worked for like 10 seconds then stopped working again.
i'm restoring my backup with everything that was working right now so i have a phone to use for the rest of the day but tm i'm gonna load up the froyo radio in case i wanna go back to das bamf 1.6.3 until some more of these kinks are worked out (random force closes of apps i wasn't even aware were running lmao)
thanks for all the help as always guys, this rom has SO much potential its amazing.
Would like to update this: the bamf remix Rom after a full wipe fixed literally every issue I had with the old ROM.
Best of luck to other early adopters, and these guys are doing a fantastic job..

I had this issue after trying to solve a separate issue. The lock screen works in conjuction with a group of other operations, and if one of those other operations is stopped/removed/frozen/whatever, it messes up the lockscreen. I had to do a full data wipe and reinstall. Haven't had an issue since.
Yeah I had the problem once again. Driving me nuts

I have been having this same problem since coming from 2.0-4 to 2.0-5 and remix.
Almost thought I was the only one with this problem. I did a full wipe twice before loading remix. Worked for a while until I fixed permissions then rebooted. No more lockscreen icons
No idea what I did but now my lock screen is back to normal.
I hope this isn't something that happens all the time with this ROM. that would get super annoying
did you have any issues with previous versions?
It seems like every time I reboot my phone I have to toggle the swype/touch input to get swype to work. I'm running Das BAMF 1.7 remix currently but had the same problem on 1.5, 1.6, and 1.6.2. Anybody else have the same issue and know a solution?

True on stock too. I think thats just one of the swype beta bugs.

Thanks for the info. I rooted this phone after having it for only a day so I can't really compare. The issue might be with the booting process as a whole for input. Anybody with slide-it have the same issues I wonder...?
Is swype installed on your sd card? If so, it has to be loaded along with the rest of the sd contents after a boot. Move to the phone to fix it.

Swype can't be installed on the SD card. The option is grayed out.

I updated to 115 and xda premium just sits at the splash screen. I updated via rom manager with gapps and then applied the oc kernel. Dalvik cache was cleared. Anyone else having this problem?

Sorry, no issues here running the same setup from SD card. Did you try clearing data for the app?
Worked for me, but it just crashed like it always does shortly after I log in.

Are you sure you are using the premium app? I know this happens on the free app if you don't have an IMEI number but never heard of it on the premium app.
Correction it works now, it must of just been a connection issue. However, the browser was working on the XDA forums just not the premium APP.
Hello I'm experiencing reboots on my phone when I try to turn on WiFi, portable hotspot and USB tethering, it doesn't reboot all the time but 3/5 times it does. I'm using CM7.1 latest with the official google apps package and 1.6 hotfix, any idea on how to fix this?
Thanks
I usually kill all running tasks, wait a minute, then turn them on. Usually works then

Thank you, I'll just need to remember to do this!
Yeah, its something to do with to many processes happening at once, the phone can't handle it so causes it to reboot (I think) haha

Yeah I'm guessing that's why, thank you for the help.

i am having a different and awkard kind of problem,... Once flashed with cm7 it works fine without any problem but once when i insert my sim card into it, it starts boot loop no matter what i try from wipe data , factory reset or clean cache..tried everything..even falshed it again but to no solace..what to do?? cant use it without sim card
Have you tried factory resetting, wiping cache and wiping dalvik cache?
Are you from India? If so, then MTNL/Dolphin SIM's don't seem to work with cm7.1.......
I use Vodafone.
Wiping everything wont help, you either need to get a stock ROM, or get a different SIM
