Is there any way to change 3rd party app icons. - Fascinate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm using root explorer and going to data/app/(whatever app) /drawable and the only option I get is extracting the png. Is there any other way to do this using root explorer?

Have you tried to delete it reboot and tried to push it again? Also there may be something close to that. There is a thread with morph colored swype. I installed a blue glass one. There was many colors to chose from maybe even black. Just a thought.

Font Changer- market app (root)
Or if you wanna be a pro manually replace them using a file explorer like Root Explorer in /system/fonts/ ;D
Well..... I guess that was a dumb question

How does that make you more pro? Doing it that way doesn't give you a user friendly browser to view each font before applying it...

Well I was assuming you would know what fonts you want beforehand and already have them. Either way, its just how I had done it before I knew there was apps that did it for you. And being pro by doing was just a joke.
Well do anyone have the fonts from froyo 1.8.3?

Remove icon text without using a launcher?

Is it possible for an amateur to do or does it require dangerous script editing that really isn't worth it?

I'm trying to edit a widget using Ninjamorph but it isn't finding ant images on my phone. Is there an alternative to edit apk files? Cheers!

Nope you need to decompile the apk and change the files which cant be done on the device.
You could use a custom launcher to change the image it uses for the icon but it won't actually change the apps icon
