Has anyone tried this for the atrix? It seems like to good of a deal to pass up for the price. However I want to be able to see how much power I actually have left and have seen mixed reviews on other sites.
All I have to say is.. that thing is HUGE!!!

Yup. That's the one.

I've had one about 2 days now. Read reports saying to go full discharge/ full charge about 4-5 cycles to realize full potential. I've ran it down once fully and down to about 30% a few times but with my work schedule/activities I dont like to let it get too low for fear of having to be leashed to a wall plug or charger for awhile. BUT i can say that the life seems to be getting better and as for the actual size of it.. seems big at first and in pix but i'm fully used to it now and I'm comfortable with it. Havent checked the actual stats on how long since unplugged in comparison to the stock, but I'd say for the price it was worth it..
At $30 I'm thinking about it. How much thicker did this make your phone rickriego?
I am guessing that this doesn't work well if you use the fingerprint reader?
Might be able to get used to the added dimensions, but how about weight? Was that pretty noticeable?

I have had a 3200 mAh battery from Seidio for about 3 months. I have all my radios blazing throughout the day. I listen to music over the cell network while in my car for a 1 hour commute. I leave my GPS on all the time. I use Bluetooth in my car. In short I have all the features of my Atrix that I paid for. I get 16 hours on a charge on a hard day. I plug it into the charger at bed-time.
The battery shown above may well be phoney. My Seidio is the real deal. I have no financial interest in Seido.
I am on stock OTA GB from AT&T. My only complaint is that by early afternoon my Atrix begins to complain (falsely) that my battery is depleted. I've haven't researched the problem fully yet, but there is a battery daemon (battd) that I think I can kill and end that silliness.
I have tried all manner of battery calibration juju to no good end, I have posted about it in other threads with lots of advice and no resolution. Let's not hijack the OP's thread.

Seems same brand as this one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-HIGH...AU_MobilePhoneAccessories&hash=item519a60619e ( I have an optimus) which is $2.95 .., someone is making a lot of money if it's selling for $30
BTW I have the above battery and it works fine, if I had to guess I'd say 1200mAH, seems worse than stock 1500 slightly. after 20 charge cycles I think it's starting to go bad, not sure yet, it died at 40% the other day.
I just recieved this one and WOW
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/3-7v-3...-pack-with-back-cover-for-moto-ma860-4g-65800
Streamed a 2h 20m movie over wifi without taxing it at all. Plus when it fell to 1 percent it stayed on for about an hour. I'm on cyanogenmod right now so I know the larger size battery needs to be recalibrated. I am also assuming that when you switch from the lower MAH to the higher one the battery information stored on your phone would then be incorrect. Basically everytime you switch batteries you should clear your battery memory in your recovery or download a proper recalibrating app to do so. Hope this helps everybody!

I got this batteries from my friend. Please tell me how can i re-calibrate it with CM7.2 MROM.
definately not accurate mAV. maybe a little worse than stock. Best solution I've used (if you don't need a replacement) is the little chargers with built in usb plugs that look like mini phones

Anyone know where I can buy a extra battery for the TP2? I have found a couple in the UK but would rather find a seller in the US.

Is the part# listed above the correct battery for the TP2?
Mine actually says "RHOD160" on the back of it...
I found a 1500mah battery on ebay (item# 250445669999) with a "buy it now" for $8.95.
Anyone have any experience with this "replacement" battery. If so, how does it compare with the original battery which is 1500mah also?
****Update****
I also found this 1500mah battery on ebay (item # 270409538954) with a "buy it now" for $21.99

I stick with genuine batteries now as I had a bad experience with after market batteries. My TyTN2 has issues turning on, and randomly turns off - even after I put the genuine battery back in. It seems the after market battery did some permanent damage.
I recently received some 1500mah batteries for the TP2. I purchased 3 units. I have a friend that will test these batteries before I use it. I will use one for the office, home and the other one will be opened and my friend will inspect the board and cell of battery. He usually takes about a week to do these test so, I will give you a update next week, if possible.
I dont really have a problem with the battery life of the TP2. Its just in case I forget to charge it over the weekend, due to my drunken stupor. Its nice to have a backup battery at home or work.
maybe I'm the only one with short life battery problem on rhodium... but I have to complain... after 3 times I've charged ...the battery dies in the evening.
maybe I must be patience and maybe it will improve after some charging cicle...but for now I'm disappointed.
anybody've seen a better battery on market for TP2?
well... i been an iphone user for a long time..
well since the first gen came out...
i still own an iphone First Gen (2g)
and now i been with the TOuch Pro 2
for about 3 weeks..
i love the TP2...
i did a test.. a little one tho..
i live in NEw YOrk.. in the bronx
i had to go to the JFK airport
in train so it was arround 1 hour and 20 minutes
maybe the trip...
i charged both phones to 100percent...
i was listening to music the WHOLE TRIP with the Iphone
and the TP2 was Idle...
when i got there... my iphone still was 100...
the TP2 was about 91%....
another stuff that i know it drains a little my battery from the TP2
is beejive but i cant live without it, i been trying a lot of methods to
increase my battery, cant see it perform better..
TP2 fully charge in the morning and it dies before 7pm..
just Textin, and some phone calls ( about 3-5 calls )
no website .. if so maybe 1 website .. no emails no push anything...
no bluetooh no wifi...
i ordered an extra battery and a craddle i hope this helps me.
something i figured was that the charging is REALLY FASTTTT....
it can go out 20% in about 15-25minutes of charging
( wall plug ) ... dont try to charge from USB it will take u 200 hours LOL
when i first got it i always charged from usb and used to take me like 8 hours
even more to fully charge it.. but when i tried from the wall plug..is Amazing
how fast it charges..

Peace dude.
Not saying that your statement is false or deceiving, just that your iphone battery meter was lying to you.
Clearly the battery level can't be at 100% after 1 hr 20 min of use. The meter must only drop when the battery gets to a certain level. Kinda like when you fill your gas tank and the needle stays on full for the next 50Km.
You must have the 1% increment tweak installed. Notice how a couple of minutes after taking it off charge it drops to 99%. At least this is realistic aye enjoy your TP2.
I found the screen brightness was one of the biggest battery killers. Since I took it off auto adjust and set it to full brightness all the time, the life had significantly decreased.

I don't believe you.. I dare say that because I was a user of iPhone 3G.. battery is hopeless.. I SURELY didn't get that kind of situation.. My wife still has an iPhone 3G.. also can't replicate your kind of situation..
In anycase, I do not believe any mobile phone device, listening to music at >1hr can still be at 100%.. surely the battery reporting driver has gone haywire..
However I'm not saying TP2 doesn't have battery reporting issues. Infact most HTCs I use seem to report battery differently at times.. usually after a soft reset, it shows a different battery status.

It's just about how you use the phone.
I normally get a bit more than 2 days out of one charge, but then I'm calling and writing, surfing and checking EMails every 30 minutes, youtubing and listening to music.
Now I went over my data plan so I disabled the Mail-checking and did not listen to music for a while. The battery now lasts for 3 days with already 60% left.
I would say, one week battery lifetime isn't much of a problem if you don't use the phone's functions in any matter

Anyone bought one of these? Seems cheap - but if it works...
Comparin iPhone 2G with TP2 is not an apple for apple comparison. First compare with the ipHone 3G (Remember how poeple complained their 3G was lasting really less than their 2G and were switching from 3G to 2G to spare battery life ?)
Besides as many underlined the battery meter from iPhone is decieving (The TP2 has issues but less I believe)
In the end my TP2 last rougly 136 hours an I am quite a hevay user. Even if the iPhone last longer (I dont have an iPhone so cant compare both feelings, and my previous remarks come from my friends' experince who own one), the nice point with the TP2 is to be able to replace the battery with another one
wu dudes, well,my tp2 comes in 7 days.... i'll test it and than post here about life batery.... and freeway4you maybe u charge your batery when its not 0%. if you do that the batery is gonna be weak. sorry the english...

Yea i've had that same exact problem today, charged it, went to sleep and i woke up it was almost empty. I went back to the shop and replaced it, i'll see what happens now. Although after doing some research I think that it has to take some cycles to reach full capacity. Good luck bro ...
I was wondering when someone would recommend getting a new oem battery for the eris? I've had mine for almost 2 years now and it seems like my phone dies quite quickly. Of course my usage varies (usually depending on if the girlfriend is working lol) so i can't be sure. Furthermore its not like i kept logs of my battery life when i first got the phone so its not like i can accurately compare to my past life. What do you guys and girls think? The oem batteries on ebay for like 5$ are quite tempting at this point.

I was noticing definitively lower battery life in May this year - so, when my battery was about 16 months old - and bought a new one, and battery life definitely improved back to my old normal. I had to weight that against the realization that I was planning to upgrade my phone sometime around mid-August to late-September - but it was still worth it to me. It's a lot less of a hassle than making sure that I am charging a couple of times a day.
I think that, given the charge cycles that phone batteries typically get, this is pretty much expected.
Do it.
Also, there was a thread around here somewhere (in the Droid Eris Q&A section) about OEM batteries for about 10 bucks. I'd say that's a pretty good deal.
Alright thanks, i jumped on it, should be here by monday. Ill let you all know how it goes

You should be fine with it - especially for under $10 - I ordered a HTC Ozone OEM 1500 maH battery for the Eris (which I knew would fit tightly with the stock cover) and nearly 6 months later, no issues whatsoever & holding charges. Recently ordered a LG ENV3 (OEM) battery from the same NY-based eBay merchant and it put new life into DW's 2 years old "feature" phone.
I kept the "old" battery charged & keep it alongside with the headphone & usb cable handy when I'm on the go for contingency purposes, occassionally rotating between the 2 batteries.
I've had my Droid Eris for almost 2 years and noticed the battery life was becoming horrible. To the point of having to keep the phone plugged in all the time. I purchased a brand new oem battery and STILL have the same issue. Now its worse those, it will suddenly die and when I restart the phone, there is NO charge. Any suggestions?
Did you try calibrating it?

I had my battery die on a hiking trip (I was using the camera a lot) and bought a spare battery when I got home.
Not long after that I rooted my phone and put Setcpu on it to lower the clock speed when the screen is off. I now get about double the battery life. I have yet to need my spare battery, but I swap back and forth every few weeks.
my first reply
I'm try to post my first reply in xda...What's going , I'm looking forward to this message...
Are you using a battery monitor on the Eris? I highly recommend using it as you can check to see what's running in the background (i.e Maps did manage to stay on or come back - maybe, delicate touchscreen issues ??) that might be "draining" the battery - even after a proper calibration & several full charge/discharge cycles.
Depending on the custom ROM, it could be the widgets, clock/weather/news app, email, or even screen settings, etc. Up until last week, I had a nearly 30 months old HTC battery (from the Ozone @ 1500 maH) in the now decommissioned, WiFi only Eris and it was fine - holding a solid charge for typically 20+ to 30 hours of light/moderate usage & standby time.
Took the plunge and bought the 1900 slim battery for the vigor . First impressions are it is definitely lasting longer than the stock slim battery. I will take a couple days to test and make sure it is not a placebo effect.
Are you refering to this battery?

Yep it looks slim, fits inside and doesnt require extra backdoor cover.
Concerning the performace please post your test results, i am pretty curious, but at the same time very confident, Mugen is a good brand.

I bought the mugen extended battery for the thunderbolt. It definitely did last longer then the OEM one but, when the rezound came out I bought a extra battery and that one lasted MUCH longer on the thunderbolt. That mugen battery didn't work right on the rezound so I didn't need it when I sold the rezound. I bought an oem extended battery for my rezound and I love it.

Im interested in seeing the results, I have been thinking of getting a larger battery, but did not want the larger cover and the bulk that comes with it
Still waiting to hear real results, plus how the temperature is.
Also looking forward to the results.
I am too. I would get one if it was actually better than stock.
I believe in the past the problem with third party batteries was the not the initial performance but the extremely short life span of the battery. Over time batteries will gradually loose their ability to hold a charge. So buyer beware, these batteries may be great for the first month or two then significantly drop off.
Good luck
anyone have this battery for a decent amount of time? I am all for just a little more battery, without the bulk of the extended.
How does it work!?!?
My Results!
Here are my results from today. I've had the battery since Monday, so I gave it few days before doing this. At the rate I used it today (Texts, Calls, 4G Use), it would have been dead by the 5 hour mark. Also, 111 is the lowest my phone has ever been when using Wireless Tether. I still text a lot while it's doing that too, and it's always at 120 or slightly above, so that seems to be an improvement as well.
initial impressions
Street putting it through is paces it sends like I am getting about 2 to 3 hours extra life compared to the 1620 battery...I have had it since Monday.
Just got mine last night, initial impression is that it lasts a few hours longer. I was at about 40% at 5 hours 30 mins, at which time I was usually at around 25-20%

Mine said the same thing, but running it through some tests, it definitely last longer than the stock battery.
I am getting about 7-8 hours of normal use out of this battery, which is a few hours longer than the stock. One thing to note, however, and I'm not sure why, but last night I let it get down to the 15% warning and at 10% it just died and wouldn't turn back on. Charged up and we're fine now, so I'm not sure what happened.

You have to calibrate your battery before you'll really see it's full potential.
No matter what firmware/ROM/kernel combo I use, this issue is always there.
The problem I have is this:
I can have my phone on charge and it will charge at a rate of X.
While my phone is on charge, if I perform a reboot... it takes a humongous jump upwards.
My phone was at 14% when I put it on charge for 30 minutes and it made it to 39% I performed a reboot (~1min 30sec) and it jumped to 71% and then after 15 minutes up to 83%
The screen shot below shows this issue.
Is this normal?
Also, If I leave my phone on charge, usually overnight and the next morning when I leave its at 100% percent, it will drain fast at a rate of X
Once I get low on battery and charge it up, 100% or not, it drains a lot slower, say like .5X
I'm not sure if that makes any sense, but it's like my phone will last a lot longer charging it the second time during the day.
Hmm never seen that high of a jump after reboot, have you tried a different battery? I personally use laza batteries, I have two of them. So instead of charging using my phone, I use the external wall charger for one battery while I use the other and just cycle them.
You might wanna wiki lithium ion batteries, they behave in different ways depending on a lot of different factors

Thanks for the offer, but I'm just going to hold out. When I'm in a city where the signal is constant 3g/4g i have a lot better battery life than when I'm around home and its in and out of no service / 1x / 3g
Thanks though
Hi, I have a problem with my Ace. When I only use 2G and use my phone for calls/sms, my battery lasts for like 3 days. But if i have 100% full battery and I use the internet with (or without 3G), my battery lasts for like half an hour, drains from full to 0 and then phone turns off. If i turn on my phone again, it shows like 30% or more battery left, but if data connection is still on, I lose 1 percent in like every second.
This is not only with data connections. I drained my battery from 100% to 0 in like 1,5 hours with just looking some pictures and using the calculator. I would like to think my battery is dead, but it lasts like 3 days when used for calls/sms only.
I have tried recalibrating my battery many times, used different ROMs (stock and custom), still same.
Is there anything else I could do to check my battery status??
Anyway, I am looking for a new battery but not the original one. Im looking from eBay. I contacted the sellers and asked for the weights. Original battery weighs like 30g. I got replied that these two (2050mAh High Capacity Replacement Battery for Samsung Galaxy S5830 and aoonen 2PK NEW Li-Ion Battery for Samsung S5830 Galaxy ACE 1800mAh fast shipping) batteries weigh 50g and 60g. This makes them less likely to be the fake gold ones, or what do u guys think? Has anyone bought one of those batteries? Or can anyone recommend a battery with more capacity than the original one (1350mah)
I accidentally hit "thanks" button instead of reply
I'm 100% sure that something is wrong with your battery.
I've never heard about such long-life battery in Galaxy Ace.
3 days calls and texting ?
It's normal that battery drains faster when using mobile data, but not that fast.
If You can, ask a friend to borrow You battery from Galaxy Ace.
If everything will be okay then You'll know the naswer.
If other battery won"t last longer, then i suggest to check you phone for "short circuit".
Maybe something is wrong with your motherboard that is connected with 3G .. ?
okay thanks, can I use the battery from S5830i?

I believe so, they both use the same sized battery (1350 mAH, Li-ion Batteries)
Though I may be wrong someone correct me if I am wrong.

Hi,
I just bought two gold extended life (2450mAh) batteries for my Ace! I was meaning to test them against the stock one but hadn't got around to it yet. Didn't use the stock battery much as I think it's original to the phone which I recently bought 2nd hand.
If anyone wants me to do this test (properly) let me know.
Thinking about this; perhaps a few Ace owners could flash a common ROM and perform a standard discharge test. This would give us some baseline.

MT

Battery use
Hi
Im my SGA I have the same problem, usually lasts a day, using net 60% disappears in half an hour. Could be the browser configuration ? or the conditions of access to the network?
Is it's the browser, wich one is the best?

My batter is two years old and it works good.
I use CM7 and no super widgets. Maybe it saves energy.
Try another ROM, remove or switch off everything You don't need.
Maybe it will help You. If not, it's time to buy another battery.
Don't ask which browser is the best, because we don't know what You need.
I need my browser to browse websites. I don't use favourites on mobile phone, so everyone is the best.

There's an app called "Battery Drain". Try charging your phone to 100%, turn on Battery Drain and select everything except Vibrate, and let us know how long it takes to fully discharge.
I have a stock battery, and it lasted ~3 hours.
Myth
Hi.
Nothing works in my ROM, most of apps are useless (all?)
Changed to LastMyth, after some days I'll be back to share the experience
try to delete the battery.stats
real myth

Hello Jenson.
Sorry to desapoint you but de advantage of deleting battery stats is a Myth [not The Lastmyth] :cyclops:
See this
I re-installed ZDBox (old version) and helps a little, probably have to use a kernel
let's wait and see
For clearing ram Try Fastreboot
It's an app n will not run all time like other task killer apps and widgets
just click on icon it will clear ram
The gold high-power batteries for this phone.. are they any good?. If you have bought one can you please give some kind of feedback on them as I am considering buying one. Stock battery just doesn't cut the mustard.
Thanks.

Hi, if you use search you'll find lots of information, such as:

everything is inconclusive, except that there are advantages to using the stock
I have tried many ways to calibrate it and my conclusion was that this broken.
I compare it with another and mine is somewhat swollen
New battery on the way
Wow, just too many variables! For instance.. Any idea how many mA the vibrator uses when typing with haptic feedback? What about the extra battery used by the radio when your in a poor reception area, does my micro-sd use more power than yours? Etc.
Battery life comparisons will only be meaningful in conditions where the battery is the only changed variable. So i would charge two or more batteries; discharge one, then another, measuring the times. Both batteries would need to be new unless you just want to compare something tired and worn with just out the factory.
Not 100% but I think it's relevant how many amps you take at a time, in relation to total capacity.. The chemical tech. may be difference, but lead-acid cells give differing amounts of charge dependent on temperature, and rate of discharge. In most applications capacity (C), is measured over 20 hours (C/20). C/100 will see many more amps capacity, and C/10, fewer! Also consider a used battery could last a considerable time, if only the high drain occasion is minimal. Something simple like the vibrator could send an old battery 'over the edge' if the drain is too high.
What does all this mean to me? Unless you wanna spend hours discharging your phone battery finding out (not really), get a fresh battery online; they still don't cost much and are easy to find. Gold batteries have been available for some time so go with your gut on that one! Perhaps, like me, you think it's worth the risk.
If you really love your phone and think you'll still be holding on to it in a couple of years time - you'll be thankfull you bought a spare battery or two while they were still cheap
Peace!

see how it goes
Hello, problems of battery are the most important in the management of smartphones increasingly sophisticated. I know of no silver bullet, so it makes sense to always have an alternate (note that battery life depends on time, even without use)
I found a small application, very cool, which is PowerTutor, which gives us interesting information from the battery usage. However'm with JuiceDefender Ultimate (free version exists). The only application which effectively spare battery was Greenpower. [all in gplay]
I hope I helped
new battery
Hi, new battery from ebay , now lasts a day under normal use and a day and a half with little use of the internet.
Not bad for the low price
Seems that lastmyth that is not worse than the others in the use of battery.

This is usually the fix. It's amazing how fast some batteries start failing. Old batteries and cold temperatures are usually the top cause of poor battery life, especially in secondhand phones.
Try Juice Defender
