Hi all,
Is there a Date/Time stamp option for the Tbolt camera? Or a an app that will put the date on pics taken by the camera? Considering all the settings this phone has, I've probably overlooked a setting somewhere.
Thanks for any ideas.
When you go to a picture in your gallery app u hit menu and it says something like picture info and gives the date btw I use quickpic

BlackHoleSlam,
Thanks for the timely reply and info. Much appreciated. I'll have a look at quikpic. I really need a camera app that will actually insert the date/time stamp onto the image itself, for evidential purposes.
Hmm I will look around for you

Thanks again, BlackHoleSlam. I had an HTC Fuze with the date stamp feature and can't understand why HTC would omit it on a nice camera like the Tbolt camera. Kinda like buying a new Mercedes with only 3 wheels.
Lol its kind of like a dying art not everyone wants to have a picture obstructed by that so its electronic

Any ideas on how I did it?
Nero V3 w/voodoo ....
Hey shoot me app is great, but I need an app that can be compatible to upload through XDA, because I wanna show the new Nero v3 pink theme but I can't upload due to incorrect file format.

They don't always look good when uploading with the phone. If you use the computer to upload they look great.

Did you install the android SDK when you rooted? There is a tool in the tools folder called ddms or something similar. If you plug your phone into your computer and run that tool it will give you an option to take a screen shot at any point. Even in a 3d game.

best app, i'd have to say shootme.
I've seen a lot of people se drocap2 so...
YMMV

Shoot me is the best. The only problem for the originator of this thread is that shoot me takes pictures in png format while xda app only let's you upload in jpg therefore you need to wither use drocap2 like everyone else does who uploads here or find a converter for your pictures on the market if one is out there and convert the picture to jpg. Or you can try to tell the devs to make the xda app compatible with png im sure there not to busy and will stop everything there doing for this request. (Lol. Just had to add a little humor not being a smart a**)

After alot of trial and error, I found that drocap2 suited my needs the best. I hated the shake trigger or timer functionalities of the other apps, the first never worked for me and the second was a pain of unparalleled proportions.... These two options are available for drocap as well, but I use the notification trigger functionality which takes a snapshot way quicker and more reliably then the other approaches. Drocap also lets you select were the snapshots end up which is a bonus as I like to store my images inbthe same directory!

One thing you'll notice about the notification trigger for drocap ia that it always appears in the picture. Another thing after further use you'll notice that it takes pictures fast but for every picture or at least the first one you'll will catch it will say "superuser as granted drocap" dudah ... so yeah and well if your like lots of of here (anal about screenshots) having that notification in the bar is a h**l no... enough said.

Let me start off by saying I don't know too much about any technicalities or requirements needed by hardware for applications. This is simply an idea.
Now how possible would it be to have an app/live wallpaper that uses the camera either front, back or both and overlays the home screen entirely. In other words having a realtime camera feed as a live background.
Again its an idea but there can be a feature able to instantly screenshot an image from the actual feed and use it as a stationary wallpaper on the go or just as an easier way to take a photo.
The world is your background. Let's say I have the wallpaper applied and I see a interesting wall with graffiti. I can pull out the phone either record a short 5-10 second clip or snap a picture to use as my wallpaper with ease.
Any feedback as to the likelihood of something like this or similar being possible is welcomed.

I'm using one, and it works, and it's free, called "camera through wallpaper" by "chikashi yajima". On the market
I'm a bit late but thanks nonetheless to you guys that gave some input. I tried them all and found my favorite "camera through wallpaper" by Chikashi Yajima

I imagine that would be a major battery hog, but very cool to show off your phone.

Battery Hog it is. I've used it to show off a couple times but to use it daily i would need a double stacked extended battery.

In dock mod, it looks "similar“ to the picture you posted.
The picture looks like a photoshop job taken from flyer screen.

this is easy to answer, guys. Can our phones do landscape Sense like that? No. So... it's photoshopped.
OK I did something today and cannot recreate it. If someone knows please tell me how to do it. OK so I was looking at my gallery going through my Halloween pics and I don't know what I did but my gallery turned scrollable, by this I meen is the pics got smaller and they were side by side like 5 on screen and I could scroll left to right.

I don't know why people love the Zoes so much, I hated the Sense gallery app, I just a nice, no frills way to organize & view my images, not give fancy slide shows for others
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Haha, I suppose that's the beauty of android - a tailored experience for everyone. I like how you can have events organized by location and I do enjoy the preview slide shows.
Zoes: I like the 3 second snap shots. They're annoying to share but a neat way to remember an experience.

"A tailored experience for everyone" - I like it! I'll have to remember that phrase especially when I'm talking to Apple users.
I'm also intrigued by the Zoes, but have some mixed feelings about them. I tried to use them to take little "action shots" but found the timing to be very difficult to get right (sometimes it seems like the interesting part happens just after it stops, or it takes a moment to focus and you miss the beginning). It'd be nice to be able to tweak the duration, which got me thinking why not just have it where you press and hold the camera button and it does video/stills until you let go? Then I thought wait, why am I doing this again, why don't I just record a short video in the first place?
Not sure what the answers are, but I like that we're trying new ideas.

I still cannot find a better exchange email and calender application then stock Sence 5

quick pic > all
If you're taking zones for grabbing still frames, you can press the camera button and hold to get burst shots. You can also take video and then grab frames from that.
