Yes, I had that. It was the Samsung email app. I got the stock Android one working from 2.3.4 and it's much better now It's in VRTweaks for VR1.1 just now.

Well I would be very happy if after 4 hours the phone still had 93% of battery left! That seems that some app is just checking or updating something from the net.
Not so bad.
How did you get that good suspend time?

It could be caused by anything because there is not enough information listed.
As a guess, that it might be the Fast Dormany feature. There is a thread somewhere. Search on "Fast Dormancy" (spelling??) You could look into it. As the poster above noted it might be email. How often does the phone check for Email?

Application using power even it was never started?

This is weird. Why would an application use power even though it was never ran? Look at the screenshots, the game "cow vs. alien" was never started after phone fully charged, yet battery stat shows it used a whole lot of power. When I click on it however the usage info is blank, just like it never ran.
This is not the first time something like this happened too, had a few other programs do the same thing.

I did, with GPS status, the app developers say it's an "Android bug"

Extortionate battery discharge!

My phone of late has been playing up with the battery...from a full charge and five minutes of use it drops to less than 60%!
73% is taken by Android system, I've been running on an old miui ROM for a few months..usage screenshot below if anyone can spit the culprit?

The unplugged usage from full charge is shown below, down to 50% for 20 min use!

Might be a battery or kernel problem. Have you tried any recent kernel to see if it performs better?
No I've been using same kernel for a few Weeks without problem...just happened in last couple of days!

Sense / shen_ye

Hi guys.
I just got a simple question.
How reliable would it be if shen ye says some things?
Ive heard that he is a XDA TV guy, whether its true or not idk.
A month ago he said they got Sense booting in less than a hour....well, nothing new since then, so how much should we believe in it?
I am sure many here are wondering about the status on this thing, even if ot is legit or not.
Please no trolls - PLEASE.

I believe he said it booted, but everything crashed after boot. After that, the thread got closed as there wasn't any progress on it and still hasn't been.

I encountered this once. Nothing you can do about this. Android OS was eating my data for a week or so, then it stopped. Disabling sync might help, I'm not sure.

[Q] What is the mdnsd process and why I'd it using so much battery?

Hello,
There's this process I noticed in my battery usage settings and it uses so much battery and I have no idea what it does. I took this into notice after I felt that my phone, an Amazon Fire Phone, was warmer than usual. So I checked my battery usage, and I see this service, mdnsd, using 50% of the battery. Now, I checked the internet and XDA about this issue, and it says that Firefox is causing this issue. Problem is that I do not have Firefox installed. Now, what I want is what does it do? Why is it using so much battery? And can I disable it, since I have a rooted phone running CyanogenMod 11.
Thank you in advance,
mechasnyper
