This is weird. Why would an application use power even though it was never ran? Look at the screenshots, the game "cow vs. alien" was never started after phone fully charged, yet battery stat shows it used a whole lot of power. When I click on it however the usage info is blank, just like it never ran.
This is not the first time something like this happened too, had a few other programs do the same thing.

for the past several days i keep getting these popups browsing this site and only this site in firefox. what gives?
they get some ads injected that are trying to put crap on my pc or what? not blaming xda at all, just looking for an answer.

ignore the second one, i figured out what it is, though i have no idea why it would randomly pop up while idling on xda. still confused about the other
ya, that's definitely not normal. It sounds like you may have malware or something if multiple things are popping up like that, but please please let them know in this thread here in case it's one of the ads here acting up.
i think i've got it sorted out. seems it was a combination of things. one being a jacked up firefox add-on, the other being a tiny piece of malware that was only detected by today's Symantec definition release
For some reason, every night when my MB860 is plugged into the charger, the tegra_spi.1 system process goes nuts with CPU usage. With a name like "tegra" I assume it has something to do with the GPU, but a quick google and forum search gave me no answers other than a few people with a Photon having a similar problem, but no one seems to know why. I have no live wallpaper, or any other apps/widgets running that I can think would be using the GPU. Very strange that it only goes nuts when I'm not using the phone.
It isn't terribly important, because it only seems to happen when the phone is charging, so I'm not worried about battery drain. But I am worried about wear and tear; my experience with PCs is that the more you use a component, the shorter its lifespan will be.
Here's a couple screenshots from System Panel:

Anyone know what might be causing this? I am running the latest October build of mmontuori's MROM on an Atrix MB860.
A strange app keeps downloading to my device, and nothing has changed as far as installed apps go.
I keep deleting them, but they just keep coming back.. I know it can't do any harm when not installed, but the fact it's downloading with no prompt is annoying and worrisome to me, as I tend to value virtual security more than most anything else.

Why is there multiples of just one app, What device are you using by the way? Looks like a Samsung device based on the Nav bar and Status bar.
I just got this new phone and turned it on 3 hours ago.
I found that camera (stock) always runs in background. Any solution to disable?
sorry, I posted on the wrong section.

Using face unlock all the time no background camera issues here.you can try turning off face unlock see if that works.
no face unlock setting and using.
