I just got a hold to my friends X2 and ripped the entire system partition from it which of course includes the Official HDMI Mirroring from Motorola. Pushing to my phone shortly to see if it works on the Atrix and if so I will be posting the APK. There are also some other nice apps on the X2 that arent included on the Atrix and if they work after testing, I will post them as well

So with the Droid X2 out now with the same chipset and HDMI mirror enabled could we use that app or service as our HDMI mirror service...with modifications of course

Good question! Anyone that has more knowledge of mirroring please check into. I'm going to search for that app from it...don't know anyone with x2 or I'd steal their phone for a day ^_^

Atrix has a mirroring hack. Does the droid x2's mirroring have additional functionality?
X2 ships with gingerbread right? Ouch.

Our current HDMI mirroring hack only permits portrait mode which is a huge pitfall.
If this supports true HDMI mirroring for LANDSCAPE mode I can finally hit up the PSX and N64 emu on my TV and use the Wii remote!!! OMG!!!

FM radio is initiated at the kernel level as far as i know, just using the app may not work, I tried with the Motorola Connected Music Player, it didnt work even after changing the region to the us maybe because im in Canada, but probably because its initiated at Kernel level

i just installed the apk, but can't even find it anywhere. you are probably right, they hacked the droid 2 to use it's fm, i'll try to look into that, i do hope that we get the mirror working that would be great, would love to have both working. i've been out of this for so long, I feel kinda lost lol. do you know if the x2 hardware is the same as the atrix?
here is the droid 2 hack

not quiet sure, there both moto, there both tegra 2, they might be on a different board, not sure though, i live in Canada so for me to have a DX2 would almost be pointless, a dev should be able to edit the apk to shoehorn it onto the atrix
radio files
here are the radio files that I found in the dump, I'll look some more to see if there are more mirror files. I'm not rooted yet, I need to get off my butt.
i got a cm7 fm radio apk
force closes on opening tho, think also you need the right libs for fm to work properly

if you read the last post on the previous page and follow that link the lib files required for the droid x2 were included in that thread. i couldn't tell you to what extent those files are hardware dependent, but i will say wth and give it a shot on saturday when i will have more time and less work to do.
The zip I put up has the bin, lib, apk, and some other files, I forget what they were
sorry guys, just with you saying app doesnt should. cm7 app shows in app drawer but force closes, maybe with those libs and bin files it may just work then
I need landscape hdmi mirroring so bad this would be great.

I saw some reviews of of the X2 on youtube couple of days ago and they were using HDMI mirroring in landscape mode.
Not wanting to troll but landscape mirroring would be a significant breakthrough to me at least.

I agree, i would actually prefer landscape mirroring then web top in my opinion.

I Believe This Could Be Installed On Any Rom. There Isn't A Prerequisite.
Do you just flash these like you do a ROM?

Yes No Wipe Though.
If I flashed either of the zips, would it affect the camera in any way? The only reason why I'm sticking with the Blur Gallery right now is because I still want to retain all the functionality of the camera. Thanks!
Does NOT Affect The Camera.
Hey, just wanted to let you know that you should post themes or apps in the Themes and Apps Droid X2 forum, not in general.
Thanks Mike, works great !!
I Know, I Was On My Phone When I Posted It. When I Came Back I Was Looking In The App Section For It, I Thought It Got Deleted. Nope Wasn't Paying Attention.
Noticed this Gallery does not play GIF's.
Has anyone gotten this to work? it installs i can set it as a wallpaper but it stays black and does not load sad i liked this one alot. Not supported for photon display?
I tried as well. Same thing. I think it's the resolution or pentile display

Tried everything under the sun to find a working version but have sadly failed. Hopefully someone figures out a way to port this.
Bump I've been trying to find a apk that might work ? I read a forum that stated it worked on their ATRIX ?
Do you have issue of the above ? I use wifi anad rarely have succeseful upload. It is either showing error message or 100% but never really finish, especially on video. The video is less than 10 MB. Anyone has the same issue and can fix this ? I greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
I'm using Google Plus it will up load your pictures to a private folder as you take them. Or when you want to upload them. App in market.

Thanks but it does not seem uploading video well.
I am still having the same problem. MOTO tech suggests to hard reset the phone. Before I do this, I would like to know if others have the same problem uploading video to picasa over wifi. Thanks.
Just tried PicasaVidUp lite from the market
Worked great.
Have you tried a different WiFi connection a free hot spot.
Thanks. The app seems do the trick with no error.

I had this same issue. Except, I did not delete the original gallery. I downloaded the ICS camera and ICS gallery from the play Store and haven't used the camera and gallery from the ROM. Works like a top.

Well I dont know what gallery you are using, but do like Tally said and get camera ICS from the play store. Its pretty much the same camera the ROM comes with.
Thats what i have is ics gallery

I would SBF to to start fresh and play it safe. Flash your ROM and wipe your cache files. Then download your camera and gallery. Don't go deleting anything.
Also with your file browser, i.e. Root Explorer , look where your pics are stored and make sure they are still there.

If I am understanding this right, you currently have a working camera and a working gallery, correct? If this is the case, are you able to get to ANY gallery from the camera app? If so, and you are just wanting to change the gallery app it opens, then you need to go into your phone settings and select apps. Scroll to whatever gallery app it is currently opening and select it. Then tap on the button that says "clear defaults". After that, go into your camera and open the gallery from there. It should pop up with what app you want to open. Select the gallery you want and then tap "Always".
Thats the best I can do with what you are giving us. If nothing works, do like Tally says again and SBF and start over.
I think what he is saying is: The gallery preview, or last pic taken, in the bottom corner of the screen- when you click on it from the camera view....nothing happens or it comes up a blank gallery.
That's what my X2 was doing.

If thats the case, maybe its the app he is using. He said hes using Gallery ICS. I dont think thats the same as Camera ICS which I think is a direct port from the AOSP camera.
Casper, I dont know how advanced you are with this but you can also open up the zip of whatever ROM you are using and take the original gallery.apk and place it in system/app/ and change permissions to rw-r-rr-- then reboot
You shouldn't have deleted the original gallery so you have two choices 1fix in Rom zip very technical but not that hard with a little searching and research 2sbf ad the ics gallery then either freeze the other app or try to remove just make sure you nano before doing anything
don't be scared it's only a phone
