From what I've heard, it's using another code or whatever. CWM Recovery is only used with LATER ROM versions and not the current one. If you feel you ever need to reinstall any of the current ROMs, you need to have xRecovery.

you can do this in the ClockWorkMod recovery or the custom recovery...
I could not find any posts on how to install clockwork mod for X10. The closest one was x10 mini pro.
Can anyone please guide me in the right direction?
Thanks!

Hi again .
CWM and xrecovery are both recovery versions used to flash new ROMs. You can only use one or the other. Assuming you are on stock kernel, install xrecovery as described in many tutorials.
CWM comes preinstalled with pretty much all custom kernels, which you can only use with an unlocked bootloader.

No, not at all. CWM and xrecovery are basically the same thing. What I meant was that, if you are on a custom kernel, you don't have to install CWM again, because it is already preinstalled. You don't have to unlock your bootloader to flash a custom ROM, all you need is root and xrecovery.
