Hello @ all,
today I installed a mod of z's kernel and now I have a uncapped X10 and would like to now what's the best value for the max events per second thing in the build.prop.
With the 32fps cap the best value was 26, but I think without the 32fps cap a higher value would better, wouldn't it?
Did someone already test it and found the best value?
Thanks

Custom rom with stock kernel comes with values like 260,290,320..like 2.2 achtojan or wolbreak for example..and they are quite smooth with this values..so i don't know why you said that 26 is the best..how can so different values can be good at the same measure??anyway i'm interested to hear what are the best values with custom kernel too..but i think that they doesn't influence so much!!

Hi all, i used Quadrant app to find out the display refresh rate and the result is on attached picture..I can't undestand why!! I'm running wolf rom and doom kernel..Has anyone else tried??What is your results?
Thanks
Im also getting 0,01 hz, probably a bug with Z's fps uncap :-D

Don't worry, if you use WB rom and Doom's kernel, your fps is definitely uncapped
Just wondering do kernels make a difference on battery life at all.I find dooms and th japs very similar with battery life.just want to know if someone has tried many kernels for stock based Rom and what they find best.I don't care about overclocking as it causes random reboots imo

I was using champs x10s with complete stock last week to test (v8) it was pretty good I must say. (about a day and a half which is good for my usage)

Really?
Blu bla bla
M&M`S MiUI V6
i also ask what is best kernal for M&M`S MiUI v6 rom i dont know pls tell me someone
Usually rom developers would suggest suitable kernels for their roms.
Rom: feralab volt v14
kernel: doom v06
rocking the unlocked bootloader, using xda premium app.
phones are like cars, you can't keep them stock for too long.
Hey @bodomfan sorry I can't reply to ur last pm for some reason XDA app fcs when I try to open ur msg (oddly enough)

Weird Im currently using champs kernel seems decent

I think, the difference betweeen the kernels availible for download is not directly related to battery consumption, it is just a matter of features. Some of them are overclocked or undervolted.
As far as I know, it is the choosen governor that makes difference on battery level.
For example :
- Performance governor does set the CPU frequency to the highest one configured
- OnDemande governor increases the frequency regularly until it hits the needed one
... and so on. You can read more here and here.
On my phone I use SmartassV2 because I don't want lags but I care a little bit for the battery, maybe I am wrong. If I am, can someone correct me
Same here really not sure why it fcs there but never mind

Hello XDA
I have just flashed my rom to CM 7.1.0.1
I have noticed that the DooMKernel will allow you to over clock to 1.9 GHz. Is it possible to flash this Kernel CM 7.1 or is there another kernel I can use to achieve a 1.9ghz over clock
Sent from my SK17i using XDA
1.9 GHz is quite dangerous for these processors. Better don't overclock so high or phone will break down.

Hello,
Just because I can OC to 1.9 doesn't mean I'm going to keep it at 1.9 all the time.
I would like to know if the above is possible and if someone could could direct me to the correct place to download the kernel.

Here is kernel that can do exactly that in CM7.2.0
I don't know if this rom is applicable to CM7.1.0, so do it at your own risk

Of course, i assume that your phone is either Mini, Mini Pro, or Active
Hey...ny1 knows which will b da best max n min freq n the governor whic gives least batt drainage.Im running on rage kernel n ics.
Batt drains a lot wid data on.

Please write out the words, that we can read it like a normal text! Don't only use shortcuts!
flash eXteneded stock kernel.
best and most popular governor is smartassV2
I use 249MHz min CPU freq and max 652MHz
652MHz is undervolted at 975mV
It runs really smooth with this much underclock! though I'm on GB right now....
Ya,should hav written it out full, sry.
But Im usin real ics...cant underclock...I hav to keep it @ 1184mhz,otherwise its gets stuck.or should I jst change the Rom....used miui, even it consumed a lot of batt.nu ideas....plz.

Underclocking depends on kernel, not ROM?
I've tried ICS. I have used it for a couple of months. But I then reverted to GB. It's faster, lighter, less resource hungry, no lags etc.
It's a matter of personal preference I think.
Try to choose a light ROM. With only a few performance scripts/enhancements, no excess/unnecessary apps. Real ICS as good as it is, is pretty heavy in my opinion.
~652 MHz ~ 247 MHz

Yup,seems lite though...anyway,read in a thread somewhere usin @1184 and 134 with noop scheduler is best for ics.don't know.tryin it out.
Heard jb is the lightest n best Rom out till date...:$

Um,btw...service menu is not opening.it used to come earlier, don't know what happened...it stopped comin after I installed this Rom(real ics)...any help plz

Doesn't make no sense to overclock to 1184MHz.....
And 134MHz actually drains more power then 249MHz. I really wish I could give you a link to see for yourself, but I read that some time ago.
134MHz and 249MHz run on the same voltage. But 249MHz gets any job done faster then 134MHz, thus using much less CPU time. And you won't have any stuttering when playing music while screen's off with 249MHz.
That goes for all kernels. All of them have 249MHz as default min freq. Execpt MESA, which seems fine with 134MHz as far as I've seen.
Anyway, please test for yourself. Get battery monitor widget (pro). It's THE best tool for batter monitoring etc.
Thanks,I'll try.

I saw some kernel wich is able to me to get 1228Mhz.But the default is 988Mhz sooo +240Mhz not a big thrust...So are there any way to get about 1,6Ghz or something like that?! I dont rly care about battery life! I have a Samsung i5800 (Galaxy3) and its CPU on default as i can rembember 688Mhz ... i use it on 1,4ghz...and theres no any overheat! So i think i cant fry the cpu!So i want to overclock my X10i...btw are there any way to overclock the GPU (Adreno 200) too?
Odp: How can i Overclock my X10i?

Haha, not possible. Set Your CPU to 1228 and You will see what happens.

Its possible!--" I saw someone have 1401Mhz CPU speed....
Try go search all X10 kernels... Look at all the kernels' functions / features...
You might find out your ideal kernel and overclock your X10i to 1.4Ghz...
But honestly, you don't need so fast speed on this phone...
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
If the led turns white and the phone reboots, then the frequency is to high.
Highest I've seen was 1228 but not many chips can run that fast for long.
I stay at a stable 1190.
