Are there any plans to get some themes available for COMROM 2.0 ported to MIUIWIZ? I know there is a gingerbread theme but other than that. Just asking because I like a lot of the themes that are available.

Ok not looking to get flamed on this question. If I posted it in the wrong area I apologize. I'm not asking for it to be made just wonder with all of the requirements needed to run gingerbread will the Eris ever see even a modified version of gingerbread? Thanks in advance

The possibility of it being ported are there, but I wouldnt hold my breath. If the source is released, I'm sure someone will try to port it, but it might not go too well.
I've heard rumors that Gingerbread will actually be 2.3, not 3.0. Maybe that gives us some hope.

Despite what this post says, I do not believe that those are requirements; I think that they are recommendations, which is different.

The real answer, though, is that nobody knows until it's officially announced and released.
Well I seen somewhere that it was supposed to be released in October. But you see how well that went lol. But with all the requirements that come with it I wouldn't be surprised if this would the death of the Eris development but that's my 2 cents

I know they keep talking about that Gingerbread love from TW. Cant wait till it drops..
Gb will drop when you least expect it to drop. maybe when the official drop or maybe not only time and lots of patience with tw roms cause they are next to perfect. so if you dont have patience then you are screwed for being a tw follower.

They don't put out halfass releases. Be patient. This is how TW works.

I'm a Trigger user til your next release Birger! Used it since the initial release, tried a few others, came right back.
Edit: Was not a knock against EDT either, I love the variety of ROMs EDT puts out. Loved Flagship and love Trigger.

Even if TW had left the Vibrant we still have lots of other developers. EDT continuously puts out solid work and CM7 is making slow and steady progress. We have alot.of development going on, always something new.
Here's my thoughts. I think 2.2 ROMS are nearing as good as we will see them perform. Check out the change logs for the latest releases. Theme changes, minor changes, etc. I'm not seeing huge leaps and bounds with Kernals. The improvements are still coming, but not nearly at the frequency they have before.
I'm not a developer, so I don't know if this is due to technical limitations or due to the fact that many of the groups are now focusing heavier on Gingerbread.
Team Whiskey is in my opinion the most legit development team for Vibrant. They've said repeatedly they will not release half-assed ROMS. I think they're focusing their work on Gingerbread now. When they come, they will change the game of Vibrant Gingerbread ROMs.

Really, the dev's all work their asses off. Before EDT was here we had just a few dedicated dev's They all did great work. Most people don't keep the same phone very long anymore (even the dev's) so it would be no suprise that when they get a new device they start focusing more of their attention tward that device (**** I know I would)
Thankfully we have a strong team of dev's still working on this and cranking out new stuff all the time (EDT) And we will still be seeing great things from TW. Not to mention all the new up and comers.
If you really want a straight answer about whats going on with TW go to their forum and ask them, that will get you the best response.
Any developers please PM me if you would like a copy...It's EE23 for I500. Said it was a MR release, anyone know what that is?
Its a froyo update for the mesmerize. Its been floating around some in irc but i dont think anything has been done with it.
Ya EE23 is either for the mesmerize or showcase, and afaik the showcase hasn't seen an OTA froyo yet...so this could have something to do with them.
Check the build.prop for what version of android it is

Eh, not really. Mes and Showcase devs have had multiple different leaks for froyo, usually newer than what this natalic guy has. So far nothing recently leaked has shown any noticeable changes or improvements whatsoever.

from what ive seen of ee23 there isnt much we can use..or would want to use from it
I flashed the odin package yesterday to check it out. Radio wont work, but swap in EC10 and it runs fine.. well minus sms issues (blank outgoing, no incoming). The boot animation is really nice.. wish I woulda grabbed the images.

Its an universal theme that'll work on any ROM. With this, you can make one version of a theme that'll work on 4.5.91, OrangeFR, CM7, and other phones/tablets!

well combine CM7, a sense style theme, LP Sense UI, Fancy Widgets with H7C skins... you can get something that is sense-ish
i doubt we'll ever see anything closer to sense on the Optimus V

I think it would be pretty much impossible for us or most other non htc based phones to ever see a sense based rom, I believe the major reason is because of legality issues with it. Don't quote me on that though. I'd love to see it happen, but it just wouldn't be worth it for any devs

Yeah i could see some trouble with legality. I did see something over on android central, it was a fully themed HTC Espresso ROM which i think would be pretty cool to have. However, the link was to a google docs file share and the file was gone
but, by the time i can afford a Moto Triumph they're will probably be quite a few ROM's out. I know they've already rooted with Gingerbreak. savin up my money
Probably something I did awhile back. The legality isn't/hasn't ever been an issue. It's just getting everything to work right. I did a cm7 theme (it's on the market) it's missing some things and right now I been making my own roms so that the lockscreen can look like it should and a couple other things.

I have that espresso rom and will pm it to anyone who wants it. Also, my sense theme is very accurate. There are threads about it in the optimus v themes thread, and the Motorola triumph theme thread. I hope you aren't disappointed if you try it out.
